My friend and I were craving mexican food. Prices were a bit pricey compared to your typical taqueria place. Food seem a bit dry. Service was great, as for food, we'll have to give it another try on some other dish. Had a super shrimp burrito that seemed to be stuff with beans and rice only. Barely had any shrimp in it, on top of that it was all cut into small pieces, not whole. 10 bucks, can't say It was worth the money, but portions were big, except for the lack of shrimp in my burrito. The el Salvadoran nachos aka fries, I'll probably give it a 3. The fries tasted different, so if you're looking for carne asada fries I suggest going to an authentic mexican joint. read more

Everything I've ever gotten they has been amazing! I was on a "3 mini tacos for $5" kick for a while and I love their chimichanga and tortilla soup, great chips and salsa and a great a la carte menu! The owner Norma is fabulous, super friendly and always comes and says hi; all the staff is great. Bonus: they carry COKE not Pepsi! restrooms are always clean and stocked and they can accommodate larger groups, I think I got a group of 14 in there once. We've been going for years and it's one of our favorites. The only negative thing I can say is that that are a bit slow, but that's never stopped us going! read more

Fernando's is probably one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area and it's one of the few places who make good food after 8 pm. The prices are good and the food is always done in 10 to 15 minuets, which is pretty nice when you are hungry for something right then and there. The salsa with chips taste fresh ( Which is hard to find at some restaurants.) and the food is always good. The staff there is friendly and if you have been there more then a few times then they seem to remember you. read more

This is a fantastic place for families! The only reason it is not a 5 Star review is because they don't serve cocktails! However, there is beer and wine. The soup is delicious and HUGE! This is my very favorite restaurant in Cameron Park. It is seriously SO GOOD! My family lives in CP and I find myself visiting them just for an excuse to go here. I love the chile relleno but we've never been disappointed with anything we've had. They keep the chips and salsa coming, you get a nice dinner salad before the entree and the food is perfectly priced. The burritos are no joke and gigantic. Definitely a two person meal. Overall I just love the feel of this local restaurant, servers are great, food is awesome. What more do you need! read more

I paid extra for extra meat... wrong!! They have a crappy burrito with probably worth one taco of meat, spend $30 bucks for what I would say 3 tacos!! I told specifically NO cheese, guess what chess on top! We are lactose intolerant so, we had throw the cheese/ tortilla away and way just the meat whatever we can scrap without cheese!!! I have never had Salvadorean food before and decided to give it a try. The Fried Yucca is as good as any french fry I have had. The Tamal and Pupusa, both ordered with a cheese filling, were awesome. The Tamal tasted like cornbread. Great experience. read more

It's been coming here for years and it's going down hill fast. I'm writing this as I sit in the restaurant waiting over an hour for 6 pupusas. This has long been a favourite restaurant of mine. Low priced, nice ambience, friendly service, wonderful El Salvadorean food (pupusa, fried yucca, chiccarones, Tilapia done in a delicious spicy Diablo sauce). Well we showed up there hungry and the place was closing for the evening :( I explained to Jessica that I had three hungry workers to feed - my son, husband and friend had worked all day getting my vegetable garden ready. She kindly opened up the restaurant to us. As always, the food was fabulous, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, tacos al pastor, flautas, and of course, the wonderful chips and salsa. And not a hint of "hurry up I wanna go home." And they have a wonderful outdoor seating area too. I think it is important to support local businesses and this one is GREAT !!!! read more

We liked it very much. We both had a combination plate and it came with a small salad, which was nice. I requested the green sauce on my enchilada which I think is much better than the red. It was "okay"... Not spectacular, but I don't think I'm going to die either... Definitely in between. The salsa was flavorful and delicious, but the chimichanga left me wanting for more.
