I have been going to this restaurant for years never had a problem with them until today. The worker was very rude. I placed an order over the phone for two sandwiches one large and one regular I was charged $30. I asked him if that order was right because that seems like a lot. He repeated the order and I told him that's not what I ordered. he stated too bad. We already made them by then I had already given him my credit card and I told him that was not correct that I shouldn"t be charged for something I didn't order. He continue to ignore me. He tried to get me out because he had another customer waiting. Needless to say, I did not have time to wait and speak to the owner because I was on my lunch break. Stopped here during lunch one day because I had a hankering for a sandwich. The main impression this place left is that it really reminds me of Mr Sub. The menu, style of interioe, and the taste. This is not a bad thing, mind you. I have a high opinion of Mr Sub. Their friea definitely were different, but I still enjoyed them. Getting a full sub definitely filled me up though. I took half home and got a second meal out of it. That is always a plus. So if you are looking for a sandwich shop, I would stay give this place a try! read more

We used to frequent this place often but after today not anymore!! Walked in and we were greeted by a young girl and said they were on lunch and couldn't take our order. Umm, we're also on lunch which is whywe were here to begin with.... She asked us to wait and she noticed the confused look on our faces and said she could take our order. An older gentleman was sitting at booth eating and saw we were confuse and stepped aside from the register. He quickly gets up to ask what was wrong. Came here to try it out and surprisingly not bad. We ordered: Italian Beef with Sweet Peppers Dipped - Was a bit small, but for under $4 not too bad. Flavor was nice. Steak Sandwich - We were expecting something like Ricobene's style, but it was more like a chicken vesuvio style. Still good. Big Boy Burger - Big and tasty. The lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard and grilled onions really was flavorful. Cheese Fries - They were ok, but after a few more bites you realize you just eating processed cheese and starts to get to be too much. B&G Fries (Butter & Garlic) - Actually, these were pretty good. I've tried the Mexican sandwich a couple times and it was good but lately I've been in love with the turkey sandwich from there. I dunno why but it's absolutely prefect. Their garlic fries are amazing as well, very addicting. The fried mushrooms are another good choice. Overall the food is always solid, well priced. I live nearby and have been coming here for years with my family. I stop in here at least once a week with my boyfriend or dad. Their customer service is great. They greet you by name, NEVER have I had an issue with this place. Their food is fantastic. I always order the turkey sub with mustard and relish. their fries are amazing and crispy. The veggie ($4.29 for a king - about 10") was piled very high with absolutely fresh veggies - and far more of them than I expected at such a joint. Sure there was the usual lettuce, onion and tomato, but also cucumbers, banana peppers and red cabbage! The bread, the key to a great sub, was unfortunately that sesame seeded Turano(?) stuff that is almost good enough for this application, but not quite. Also bringing down the sub was processed cheese. Either real cheese or great bread would have been enough to render this a 4 star sub. What you expect from a greasy spoon, hole-in-wall type of joint. The good food, good prices, great specials! They don't have parking which can be a huge inconvenience seeing how they are on the corner of a busy intersection. They do deliver which is a plus but do require a $15 minimum. I'd give them four stars if it wasn't for the inconvenience of struggling to find parking every time. read more

This is a solid place for a sub. For a ten inch sandwich I paid $7 and it was very filling. Lots of meat and veggies.

The subs are pretty good here. I had the ham and cheese. It was very filling. I also had the salami. That I think you should take a pass on. This isn't the salami crowd. It might have been hanging around for a while. The place is a little old and warn and needs a good scrub down. But for the area I think that I did pretty good. read more

Another awesome spot to eat at in Brighton Park. Place felt just like home, and the workers help enhance that feeling with their great hospitality. I ordered a corned beef sub with fries and it was delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly and the bread was nice and chewy, not too hard. Love the decoration of Chicago Sports teams all around the joint as well as some memorabilia featuring the neighborhood's high school. These guys have a large menu, so I'm excited for my next visit to try something new. read more
