    Vodka pasta special

I love Fiamo; it's one of my favorite go-to Italian restaurants in downtown Victoria. It's never too busy and has a lot of seating, so you're usually fine without a reservation. The tables outside are so cute and totally make you feel like you're transported to Italy. Their selection of pastas is honestly the widest variety I've seen at most Italian restaurants, offering lamb, sausage, chicken, etc., and super creative gourmet pastas in two sizes, which I love for sharing. And of course, you must get an Aperol. At first, they served it to me in a short glass, which made me a little sad, but with a quick request, my server was great and brought my next one in a tall glass. I haven't stayed for dessert here yet, but I'm looking forward to it next time I'm home. Really great service, free focaccia starters, and really yummy food. Also, it's right next to the water and the harbor front, so if you're traveling by boat or seaplane, this spot is right there waiting for you!

The butternut squash ravioli was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. And I am 53! I reacted with "mmmm, oh my goodness, this is soooo good" with every single bite. Even my Caesar salad was phenomenal. Wine was excellent, service was perfect; loved sitting on the patio. I wish I lived nearby so I could go back regularly! The bread was the only thing that was a little disappointing, but who wants to fill up on bread anyway when the rest of the meal was so fantastic!? My husband loved his meal as well. If you're on the fence...go!!

This was probably my favorite meal on our most recent trip to Victoria. All the meals were delicious. We got the kids "pasta with cream sauce" and it was by far the most sophisticated kids pasta we've ever had! It was essentially the complex adult cream sauce base on spaghetti or penne. I wanted to swap out whatever sauce accompanied my parmigiana pasta side to this one, but our server assured me it would be just as creamy. Upon arrival it wasn't, but within 10 mins of me discussing whether or not I could try and get a side of that sauce, our server appeared with exactly that item saying she felt the dish wasn't as creamy as she'd thought so she brought extra. It's like she heard the conversation! She hadn't, but that anticipation was a first for me and took me quite by surprise! The decor was interesting, upscale, intimate, with a show stopping chandelier in the centre of the main dining room. As for the food, they were all quite enjoyable and solid dishes. The chicken was incredibly tender and the pizza was hearty. Was it the best I've ever had, not necessarily, but for less than $20 in a more upscale setting for a sharing sized pizza, it fit the bill nicely. Will definitely be back!

Thanks Fiamo Italian Kitchen for a lovely dinner on our last night in Victoria. We enjoyed your house Italian Pinot Grigio, Sicilian pizza, seafood pasta and pan roasted salmon. Everything was deliciously prepared and the service, friendly & efficient. Looking forward to returning to your restaurant on our next visit to the City of Gardens.

Caesar Salad, Amatriciana Pizza and their amazing bread and vinegar!!

One of my fave restaurants in all of Victoria! Service and food is always amazing!! I'm here every 3-4 weeks and I have yet to have a bad experience! Love it!

Awesome pasta! The small portion is more than enough for dinner. The service was very friendly and the heaters outside made it pleasant on the patio. We also started with the mushrooms, which were AMAZING. I've removed a star because the cocktails were just ok. They weren't very inventive and tasted watered down. The one I ended up liking the most was the tiramisu martini I had for dessert. Overall, Id definitely recommend this place.

First time here and I brought my wife and four (!!) kids. Wish I took pictures of everything, but I didn't think of it on time. We were seated and served drinks immediately, followed by some pretty amazing self baked bread that was freshly made that day, along with the usual oil and vinegar dippings. They didn't have to tell one that...it was very obvious! Two of the kids (12yr and 3yr old) shared a pepperoni pizza and the other two (11yr and 6yr old) shared a half size spaghetti and meatballs. They loved their dinner and it was plentiful!! The wife and I each had a linguini carbonara, the wife a 1/2 order and I had the full order (picture!!) and it was amazing!!! The meals are top notch and the service amazing!! Ambience also deserves a mention. Can I recommend this place?? ABSOLUTELY!! If you like Italian, you'll love this place!! Come hungry :)

We were favorably impressed with this establishment. Not the best pizza I've had, but it was respectable with a good crust (thin). Likewise, service was good but not great. Overall a good choice for good pizza. BTW, they have other menu options as well and what I saw looked good.

Great food selection, wine pairings, service, what else needs to be said. Glad to have found this place while we were here in Victoria. Will definitely come back.

My friends and I had a lovely dinner here the other night…read more We were all in town for a wedding and knew we had to make an early night of it, so we made an early reservation, for 5pm (when the restaurant opens for dinner). We were the first patrons there, and we opted to sit in the charming courtyard/patio, which is enclosed by ivied fences and a wrought iron front gate. This front patio feels very intimate, but the restaurant interior also seemed warm and cozy, with various niches for more private diners. The menu highlighted homemade pastas, but there was a good variety of seafood and meat entrees, along with vegetarian options, too. This restaurant has a few features we really REALLY liked: -an "early bird special", which is a 3-course meal offered from 5-5:30pm for $39. -all meals are available in full or half portions. This is FANTASTIC and I wish all restaurants did this. -the food and server were excellent! (The only lukewarm review was from one friend who said his meatball dish was just "okay". The rest of us LOVED our meals. And the creme brûlée was one of the best I ever had). When we left the restaurant, it was totally PACKED, so clearly it is a very popular place here. I'd seriously recommend making a reservation.

I had researched places to eat and found Lot A as it is an Italian -style restaurant. The pictures…read moreonline were very enticing as was the description of the food. We started off with Parmesan Polenta Bites House fried polenta bites, parmesan, spicy tomato sauce. Tasty though spicy might be too big of a word for the dipping sauce, a welcomed change from the expected bread. I had the Caesar Salad: Whole romaine leaves, creamy Caesar dressing, bacon bits, focaccia croutons, crispy capers, shaved parmesan, roasted garlic . I don't care for bacon on this type of salad and love It when I am treated to anchovies. The fried capers were a nice touch, but not a big fan of the creamy dressing as a lighter dressing helps when you still have the main course ahead of you. I had, for dinner: Ricotta & Tomato Campanelle Campanelle, fresh basil, ricotta, parmesan, tomato sauce. Thought I had spaghetti and added chicken. The sauce was very light without much flavor and the chicken was not seasoned and just sliced and cooked. I am wondering if this dish would be better served in a marinara sauce as the ricotta cheese is flat against a bland sauce. I did not finish my dinner because it was simply bland. Dessert was disappointing because I was looking forward to a chocolate dessert, but they were all gluten-free. This is very nice to see for those with celiac disease, but disappointing for me and so we all took a pass on dessert. I also had the Italian Mule drink which was refreshing and delightful and not overwhelming with an alcohol weight. Our server was nice and mostly prompt. Ilianao.?? I have to say this: when servers ask about the food and service in a plural fashion: are we liking the food, did we want to have dessert, it throws me off and is a bit off putting. Simply ask how is the food, did anyone want dessert or want to look at the menu. Can I get anyone anything water, salt , cheese, let me know you know how to be a top server and the tip always reflects that. The lighting in was nice, seating comfortable, and easy to talk.
