The meat lovers pizza was really good--flavorful and satisfying. The dry ribs lacked flavor, so I wouldn't order them again. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. Ambiance-wise, the dining room felt lively with a family nearby; it wasn't loud enough to ruin the experience, but it did add some background noise. We've eaten here three times this month and have had the same excellent server (Charlotte) each time. So impressed with how kind she was to our 1-yr old and that she went out of the way to tell us there was a great special today on the pasta we usually order. The baked cheese tortellini is wonderful, though we did add chicken to give it more punch, and the lasagna is hearty and satisfying. Nice, spacious interior with lots of seating and good a/c on a hot summer day. Appreciate the care they take with COVID precautions and offering us a high chair too. We'll come back soon! read more

It's a nice restaurant up in Saanich and is overall a great chain. The staff at this restaurant are friendly and they make sure that your not waiting too long for your order. They serve a great Caesar salad along with spaghetti Bolognese. They also serve excellent garlic bread and my dad really enjoyed his fantastic pizza. I also love the fact that it's close to Hillside Mall which makes it a very convenient location. read more

Wings were good and my pizza to go was even better....however I ended up paying someone else's bill. My fault yes....this Tap'n'Go is too convenient....enough that I didn't even look at the bill. My bill for a personal pizza, wings and a pop came to $51! I live in Nanaimo and phoned in to discuss my bill. I was told it would be better to come in with the receipt rather than do it over the phone. I did exactly that. BUT was told they would call me back after they find my original receipt in their box of records from that month. My receipt shows my pizza that was ordered, but not my wings or pop on it??....my MasterCard receipt shows the total of $51. Will update after manager contacts us. read more

ordered 2 regular thin feast pizza for pickup(take home). got home and the crusts were BURNT! phoned and they offered to replace them, OK. 30 minutes later, they delivered new pizzas. one pizza crust was over cooked. The second pizza was even more burnt than the original. We ate one pizza and returned the burnt one Back to Broadmead restaurant. Told it was not burnt as their ovens are preset and never overcook. Told I could complain to their head office on Tuesday; no offer of a refund or restaurant credit. Do not leave restaurant wthout checking crust!! They have lost 1 customer. Any others? read more

We tend to order pizza for pickup and occasionally dine in. The pizza is pretty good and the staff friend. Good place if you're with kids.

Arrived after lunch rush. Took 25 minutes for the cocktail to arrive.... in an empty restaurant and an additional 10 minutes for our order (2 clubhouse sandwiches) were they baking the fucking bread?! After 20 minutes had passed I walked through the restaurant to see who others were fairing at the hands of the feverishly texting staff. Not well. Not one table had a drink or food on their table.... and yet the staff continued to text. Definitely take a miss on this place. read more

We ordered pizza from Romeo's the other night and it was... meh. It was pizza. Nothing spectacular, but it wasn't inedible either. They showed up earlier than we were quoted, which was nice because we were both starving. Both of the smalls that we ordered were OK, but dripping grease? I don't think they were cooked long enough. Reservations Here Do Not Help! - Even @ Christmas!! Reservation made months in advance for 12 people together for a Christmas dinner with our Big Brother/Big Sister Org. family ( 3 families ) .... Were told at time of booking that tip would be added automatically & confirmation of #s would be needed!! All were agreed upon. Only to arrive and be seated at 2 separate tables, miles apart. Management never apologized; refused to seat us together; never offered menus etc; or discount or comp. dessert for their error! Boston Pizza took our last minute call/group. Plus served us well!! Told Romeo's Hillside Management only to have them say " Boston Pizza was a good place for us!! Dismissing us from the restaurant. Rude behaviour from Management all the way down to the front door desk staff. I do know it was possible to seat us all together! Our same group had eaten there just last year and wanted a repeat experience again this Christmas! Making a reservation was to guarantee this and give the confirmation/courtesy is part or being organized...which this restaurant clearly is NOT! What restaurant can afford to lose such a large booking? I feel sorry for their staff missing out on the money for the 12 meals & tips!! Not very Merry!! read more

They advertise as a lounge on the outside...were a young couple so thought we would try it out. Bad idea and a waste of a good time.Very bland food, very quiet atmosphere and lots of eldey folks. It would be alright if we were in our mid 50's or 60's but won't be returning again until than. This would be a great place however to bring your grandma or grandpa on their birthday or for a quiet family dinner. Just wasn't the scene for youngsters like us. read more

After finding a long hair in my pizza, I called to let owner know. He was extremely rude and told me I would have to drive all the way to his restaurant to bring in the piece of pizza with the hair in it. I did not order a $25 pizza with hair in it. After reading other reviews about this particular restaurant (on Hillside) - I see similar complaints of gross things in their food and rude owner. Do not go to this one. read more

Our family always enjoys the food at Romeos. We all like different things so we appreciate the varied menu. Recently my 81 year old dad walked to the restaurant for dinner on his own and the manager gave him a ride home because a storm had rolled in. Last time ordering from here . We hadn't ordered from here for awhile. Tonight we remembered why. Ordered guacamole for my burger, charge $2.50 didn't receive it. Then had asked for lettuce around the burger instead of bun. Lettuce had black parts on it. Called spoke to manager , he told me no the lettuce is not black it from the heat around the burger. It had black spots that were clearly not from heat, there were parts that were just soggy not black. So that would be from heat.Then saying next time get it on the side . He offered to rush out fresh lettuce and guacamole . What a joke the burger would be cold. Never offered a new burger. I asked for a credit, he stated it be good for one month only , more jokes. Then after I got off the phone I started to eat the burger , which was a very bad presto burger. A&W does better and has fresher lettuce. I did not eat the rest of it nor did I call back. The yam fries were good and the deliver boy was friendly. I will not ever make the mistake ordering from here again. Bad food , rude manager. Won't claim my credit because I won't spend another penny there. read more

Great family spot and love the new renovations. They have kept some of their classics the same forever and I love that. Pizza is hard to beat and the crust is delicious. Some of the best plain cheeze pizza around. If you are wanting something different, the pesto shrimp and pesto pollo are delicious pizzas! I also like the spaghetti and meatballs as an old school classic. We have been here quite a few times over our last visits , the food is so so at best , I had a BBQ Jack Burger and it was one of those frozen burgers instead of made fresh which is not that difficult to do and tastes way better, my husband & oldest son both had pasta dishes and said mediocre at best as well. The server never came back to ask if we needed anything else or fill up our drinks. Each and every time we go back we keep asking why ? Super disappointed with Romeo's recent performance. On a Tuesday night at 8 pm, we ordered 2 pizzas - one on regular crust, and one on thin crusts. Not the most difficult of orders at what I would assume to be a pretty slow time of night. Despite promising to have it delivered in 45 minutes, it took over an hour. Not only that, the pizza was cold, both were on regular crust, and they were crumpled to one size of the box as they had been carried vertically instead of horizontally. When we called to complain, the restaurant just told us the driver was new and hung up (did the driver mess up my order too?). Never again. read more
