We love this place and the freakin' Grouper Bites are so good we always come back when in the area. Discovered this joint in 2021 and revisited now in 2024. It's always busy, so you'll need to be patient. Definitely worth the wait tho. Inside and outside seating. 98.5-A sanitation grade as of 2024. Service is great, place is clean. The ONLY reason for giving a 4 star instead of 5 would be there is NO kids menu and the Grouper Bites (my favorite) is just too small amount for the price! I love them!!! But four nuggs for $15 is steep. I paid it bc it's a vacay treat, but come on!! Give me some more for my bang!! I do love this Sunset Beach restaurant tho. Definitely a staple and treat.

Food: I haven't gotten a dish I didn't thoroughly enjoy yet! I'm a grilled fish girl, it's my go to. BUT the shrimp burgers are amazing. Fish Tacos, yes please!! Service: Remember "Cheers" from the 80's, yeah, that vibe is real. When I walk in , my name is called out like I'm a member of the family. I'm always welcome. Ambiance: kinda depends on the time of day! Day drinkers, come on in! Evening dinner with friends, pleasant and full of fun. This was the first place I visited when I moved to the area and I have been making it a weekly routine since. Looking for a place the locals go, this is it. Delicious food and absolutely wonderful staff. You are in good hands at Fibber's in Sunset Beach

After trying to go to some other restaurants that all seemed to be closed on a Tuesday, we tried Fibber McGees for the first time. The parking lot was crowded so we knew it was a good choice. We sat outside. The decor outside was beautiful with nice tables, flowers, heaters and outdoor string lights. Our server came over immediately and took our drink orders. She was very friendly. We each ordered a cup of she crab soup (the soup of the day). The soup was good. I would give it a 4/5. For dinner I just had the appetizer chicken fingers. They were quite tasty, and came out hot which I love. I know it's not hard to make chicken fingers but I've had some bad ones. My husband had the shrimp burger on a recommendation from our server and it didn't disappoint. That burger was legit. After having a bite myself I wish I had gotten it as well. Totally solid meal. Would definitely come back!

Been coming here for years. New owners, same menu, but quite a jump in pricing. Scallop dinner & Mahi Tacos (2) were good. I was shocked when I received my bill and was charged $18 for a dirty martini (grey goose). I order this drink often - and this by far exceeded what I've ever paid for a drink at any establishment. Was pretty disappointed.

Not an authentic Irish pub by any means, but reliably good food and usually very good and friendly service.

Food was good. Beer was cold. Note that there's a $15 minimum credit card charge, I didn't know that until the tabs came around.

We noticed there was live music outside which I wasn't thrilled about but I wanted to sit by the ocean. We were seated very quickly and our sweet waitress immediately went to get our drinks. My husband and I opted to share the fish and chips and I got a cup of clam chowder and he got a bowl. I also got a blackberry bourbon bramble. The good...the mixed drink was excellent! The fish on the fish and chips was seriously one of the best things we had this trip. The not so good...the fries were soggy. The clam chowder was room temperature and SALTY. The waitress did warm it up when asked but I always hate sending stuff back to the kitchen but it seemed much better when it came back. The live music started at 7pm and let me tell you...that musician was so talented! It wasn't too loud and it was fun to listen to. Overall...The drinks and fish were GREAT. The view was ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR. The other things that I found MEH, could have just been an off night. Our waitress was lovely and the prices were decent. I would try this place again.

The interior has a classic Irish-American feel, complete with a "Sláinte" sign, dartboards, pool tables, and plenty of green decor. However, the real highlight is the massive oceanfront deck--it's the perfect spot to grab a drink, look past the palm trees, and watch the waves. It's a fantastic blend of a traditional pub atmosphere with an unbeatable beach view! They also have a solid happy hour menu, quality Guinness, extensive whisky selection and serviceable bar food. To make matters better, the bartender was friendly and professional.

Typically, when I come, it is with a larger group so we have to sit inside. For anyone wondering, you are likely always going to have a wait. And that's okay! There is a wonderful beach and Christmas shop right across the parking lot that you can peruse - I promise you can kill at least 45 minutes, and the meal is well worth the wait. This time, since it was just my friend and I, we decided to sit at the outdoor bar, which is first come first serve. We were quickly seated, so it worked out perfectly. One thing I will say is that this patio is in the direct path of the setting sun, so just have your sunglasses ready. I ordered the Sarita Margarita, which is my favorite cocktail they have. It is like a fruity, boozy slushy. Absolutely delicious and perfect after a day at the beach. I always get the Hurricane Chicken. It is my absolute favorite meal. If I were to have my choice of my last meal on earth, it would be Boundary House's Hurricane Chicken. When you order an entree, it comes with a side salad. My recommendation to you is to get their house raspbery vinagrette, it pairs perfectly with this salad! Now, the Hurricane Chicken itself is this delightful combination of a chicken breast, crab cake, and shrimp with some delicious sauce on top. It is so creamy with the variety of flavors that three meats bring. In case you don't finish it all, it also reheats well for leftovers the next day.
