Went back for a second time with friends who love food & they also thought it was absolutely amazing

Pork osso buco! Absolutely amazing, melt in your mouth!

My husband had the lasagna and I the special which was pork osso buco. We had the lobster bisque for starters and friedcalamari . The bread is also very good. They have homemade tiramisu. I can tell you the restaurant is beautiful inside and out, first class, Carl made us feel like we were at home. We had just flown in from Texas, so we are far from home. Kevin our server explained all The specials,! I can say you will not be disappointed in this wonderful Italian Restaurant. Hope we come back soon!!

Azore cocktail with blueberries & mint and a spicy margarita!

I've been here five times! I love the delicious meals they offer on their amazing menu! Beautiful atmosphere just love that big red counter bar and all around beautiful decor! We enjoy the live music on Thursday evenings with great service wanting to please their patrons on their every visit! We already have plans to go back next week. The owner comes around to make sure everyone is satisfied, which I think is right as other places do not! So happy to have found a warm and friendly restaurant to have a satisfying dinner every week!

From the moment you are greeted at the door they make you feel like you are a part of the family. The aesthetic is warm and inviting. My favorite Italian restaurant was always a small family run place in St Maarten that closed after a hurricane. Ficarra has not just taken its place but has brought it to the next level. The gnocchi with short rib ragu was light and airy, with the perfect amount of seasoning. The Lasagna made with a bechamel sauce was amazing and the scallops were seared to perfection. We have been there twice already and we will be back again soon. Everyone should definitely come in, you will NOT be disappointed.

When we heard Luigi Q was selling the restaurant we held our breath to see what would take its place. I am very happy to report that another upscale Italian restaurant is now open in its spot. We stopped by to welcome the gracious hosts/owners Carl and Demetra Mattone to the neighborhood as we live blocks away. What a beautiful family atmosphere they have created. The previous owner did not allow children, but the Mattones welcome them. It is refreshing how accomodating they are to make your experience a special one. The food and service was outstanding. The focaccia bread was to die for! We had 3 servings. Please don't judge. The zucchini chips - OMG indescribable. The serena sophia (homemade fettuccine with jumbo crab meat in a light cream sauce, orange zest and tomato) , fusilli bolognese and lasagna were all amazing. What a difference fresh pasta makes! Marcela whips up amazing cocktails. I love to pick her brain about various recipes and ingredients that go into her concoctions. The smoked old fashioned is marvelous. The napoleon was light as air. I'm going to be there often!

Went to Ficarra Restaurant last night with my wife. The food, service and ambiance were outstanding. We ordered the grilled Polpo (octopus) for an appetizer that we cut with our forks. My wife had the Cozze app for dinner that was large enough to be called a main course. I had been told to try the pork chop with hot peppers. Huge chop with just the right "hotness" of the pepper. Not over powering at all. The host/owner was on site and very much active in providing guests the right touch. His son the manager and bar tender are a great team. Don't walk to try this new restaurant -RUN

And while I appreciate dedication to the craft, the time allot to prepare and plate just seem to stretch on interminably. If you plan on visiting this place with another guest, prepare lengthy conversation topics! Pros: Each piece was absolutely delightful. The only piece I personally didn't enjoy was the Kimmedai-Golden Eye Snapper. My favorite pieces are any of the tuna. It was really good, I'm not much of a fatty tuna lover but it was seriously really yummy. Also I don't really like uni so I was skeptical to try it, but the uni was so creamy and perfectly chilled it was heavenly. Every other piece was just so unique and delicious. The chef's were fun to talk to and told us that the menu will be changed every two weeks. The dedication and creativity in that alone is commendable. Overall I had a good experience, the bar in front and hidden door adds to the mysterious feel. I didn't feel like the waitstaff was breathing down my shoulders like I have experienced in other places which I think is important to note. I will also say the bathroom is also beautifully constructed. The menu is personalized by printing the customers name on the top right corner which I thought was a cute touch. The 16 piece course left me feeling perfectly full. Overall had a memorable experience and will go back to try out their updated menus!

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. All in all, this was a super solid meal, there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite spacious, and the single bathrooms are also pretty large.

We both started with the New England Clam Chowder and it was perfectly seasoned and had a nice amount of clams, potato and croutons for texture. Wonderfully flavorful and it was good portion. Next we decided on the main courses, wifey chose the chicken scallopini with linguine; I chose the rigatoni bolognese - mostly because that was her second choice. We absolutely loved the food, portions were huge and flavors were absolutely top notch. We managed to get so full from off the entrees that we managed to have some leftovers for our kids to enjoy back at home. Of course we had to leave some room for desert. Dirty Taco and Tequila only takes reservations for large groups. Dan Z was our server and he was amazing. He was very attentive, happy, and friendly. He asked if it was our first time at Dirty Taco and Tequila and gave us a brief introduction to the menu and his recommendations. I had the Asian Pear cocktail and it was very yummy. The Asian Pear cocktail has Grey Goose vodka, pear nectar, st. germaine, lime juice, and agave. My friends had pineapple margarita, coconut margarita, and strawberry kiwi margarita. For margaritas, you can add salt or sugar on the rim. We ordered Guac & Chips for the table. The guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro, lime, and red onion were very good and great to share. I ordered the Bulgogi Taco and the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. My favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. It had pan fried shrimp, cabbage slaw, tossed in bang bang sauce, sriracha drizzle served on flour tortilla. This taco was packed with flavor and really good. The bulgogi taco didn't have bulgogi, they were steak strips. My husband had the Pork Belly Taco and Korean Short Rib Taco. He really enjoyed it.
