Overall satisfying experience and meal at Market Bistro including MB mussels that hit the spot. Tasteful, full bodied and plentiful are ways to explain the mussels and that has been a rarity lately when ordering at other establishments. The specialty appetizer - squash buratta - was also a hit! Decor and service were on the mark and hard to not give these guys 5 stars. Well done.

Market Bistro is in a busy strip mall in the town of Jericho. The gastropub restaurant has a brick wall lounge comfortable seating dining area ambience. The loft-style eatery overall vibe along with the menu focus is a key element to the relaxed, inviting atmosphere and a well-designed bar area. Once seated, the staff made us feel welcome, appreciated, and understood. We ordered a meatball appetizer which was particularly good. But my seared tuna entrée was delightful; it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked, making it standout on the menu. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant - the food was excellent, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was exactly right.

This restaurant had me saying wow with every bite I took. We got the tuna tartar, octopus, and some wings for an appetizer. Everything was ridiculously good. for dinner I got the shrimp over risotto and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The drinks were great, and the blueberry peach cobbler was the cherry on top. Absolutely amazing.. I really can't say enough good things and I highly recommend giving this place a try.. I wasn't sure when I saw the outside, but I learned quickly not to judge a book by its cover. The service was great, and I enjoyed the ambience as well.

Food - My guest and I went for dinner and ordered a salad and the pan-seared tuna entree. They tasted fresh and delicious. The non-alcoholic drink with pineapple base was also excellent. Service - We were about 25 minutes late, but were thankful to be seated to our reserved table. Next time if I'm late, I will make sure to call to let them know. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs throughout our visit. Ambiance - Typical for a bar and restaurant, dimmed lighting but it was a bit too loud for us to hold a conversation. Still the food was amazing.

Came here to catch up with a great friend the other day for lunch. I had never been inside but there is a lot of seating and ample space between tables. Our waitress was very attentive and while we didn't order any appetizers, we didn't have to wait long for our entrees or our drinks. I ordered the braised short rib with a side of French fries and it was incredible. The meat fell apart and paired beautifully with the veggies and fries. My friend had the short rib bolognese and he loved it. I'm glad he asked to go here because I could see myself coming back. It is on the pricier side but the food is worth it!

Fantastic dinner, everything was done perfectly- service, decor, menu, flavors, plates. Culinary skills show in this restaurant. We tasted quite a few things, and everything was really incredible - I'm sure there wasn't a bad thing on the entire seasonal menu. Can't speak more highly of this gem.

BLUF, a little pricey but a good spot for a quick, high quality lunch. Wanted to give this place five stars, but I just couldn't given the expense. Yeah, I get it...it's in Jericho. But there were only a handful of menu items that were in what I'd consider an acceptable price range for a non-dinner menu (under $30) other than appetizers or salads with no proteins. That said, I got myself the brisket quesadillas which were outstanding. I can't pass up brisket anywhere, and glad I didn't do it here either. Definitely recommend that dish if you find yourself there for lunch.

Great local spot where the vibe, atmosphere, fresh seasonal food, cocktails and a well curated wine list that includes exceptional local wine offerings is always a plus. Service is always friendly, hospitable, professional & welcoming. Our server Lisa was excellent. Highly recommend!!

Arriving, the space is bright and airy. At the table there was a lovely potted plant with our reservation name which we were able to take home with us. Such a nice touch. The trivia was really fun and something different to do. We started off with the maple bacon donut holes for the table. They came out piping hot and had the perfect donut texture. They were so good. They have a lot of cocktails and cocktails to choose from. I opted for the Spritz which was a light Aperol Spritz and it was perfect for brunch. The Paloma was also quite good. I had the Tap Stack which was pancakes layered with bacon and topped with a corn flake crusted chicken cutlet. The portion was large and hearty. The chicken was so crunchy and yummy. The bacon was perfectly cooked. The pancakes were a bit on the tough and dry side. The breakfast burrito, BEC and brunch burger were all good and everyone enjoyed their meals. The restaurant itself is stunning, beautiful design, good music, and an upscale bar that transports you far from the reality of being in a strip mall on Jericho Turnpike. The ambiance feels high end and thoughtfully curated. However, a few details reminded us we were still in a strip mall. Small but important things that could easily make or break this place. The bartender, who essentially represents the restaurant and sets the tone , the "sensei" of the establishment, so to speak. He was friendly and kind, but his expertise in cocktails and culinary knowledge was lacking. After our first cocktail, I made it clear that I dislike sweet drinks or wines. He then recommended a Riesling which is known for being a sweet, semi-dessert wine -- which made me question his understanding of the menu. He seemed young and inexperienced, though well-intentioned. The food was a mixed experience. The raw bar appetizers were excellent, and both the lobster udon pasta and spaghetti were delicious! Unfortunately, the lamb chops were a complete miss. We ordered them medium rare, as they arrived so..they were looking and tasting boiled, with no sear, no crust, and a chewy texture. Halfway through my second glass of wine, the bartender refilled it without asking. I assumed it might be on the house, tipping me off. As it wasn't a full glass of wine. When the bill came, I saw I had been charged for a full glass. He never asked if I wanted another; he simply refilled it and added it to the check. That's an amateur. We also received a complimentary glass of champagne (which we noticed was being served to all omakase guests), though the bartender presented it as though it were a personal gesture from him. His words were "these last two rounds were on me". Meanwhile, it was just a 2 glasses of champagne.. my husband and I ordered 3 drinks each, one of which I was poured and did not ask for. Until the service matches the sophistication of the space, this restaurant will struggle to keep diners coming back.

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. The friendliest service, Lauren who seated us and served us was truly genuine, and I told her I really appreciate that as most restaurants don't have that sense of personal customer service, actually noticeable and appreciated. The food was also really good, the dip was flavorful, could be a little warmer but still very good, the chips were next level, and this was a huge hit. The calamari was lightly breaded, and also I do appreciate the two sauces to choose from when dipping, either Kung Pao or Marinara. I got the Pastrami Rub Tuna over Scallion Mash, and when I first looked at it I thought the fish piece was a bit small, but after eating it, it was the perfect size, and the mash was delicious, and the Wasabi Sauce to dip the fish really made the dish Pop. Drinks were okay, started with a kick and boozy but finished a bit watery for my first one, the second one I had with Mescal was a 10/10 though. This place needs attention, and the fact that it is still pretty low key and food influencers haven't descended to blow up it's spot is awesome.
