    Santa Fe IPA, meah

After our visit to Meow Wolf, we stopped by at Dr. Field Goods Kitchen which is close by for dinner. It's a causal joint, on the small size, specialized in fusion, with a New Mexico twist. We got a Margherita Pizza and shared it, we added pepperoni and olives on half of it. The pizza was good, the ingredients were fresh, they used heirloom tomato-s, the complaint? The crust was too thin so you couldn't pick it up, had to be classy and use a knife and a fork. For a gastro pub, I was disappointed with their on tap beer selection. They kept bringing us canned beer. No way! With all the local breweries, do I want a beer I can buy in a supermarket everywhere in US? No way! Just a couple of local IPA-s, which I don't like. But I wanted a local beer so I got the Santa Fe Co IPA. Nor a fun. IPA-s aren't for me. For dessert, we shared their bread pudding, good, liked the caramel sauce on it. a tad dry. Customer service was OK. Prices, decent. The place could be better, a mixed bag for me! I expected better based on reviews and local press.

Treated my 26 year old son to dinner. He orders the $19.00 Christmas Enchiladas. I ask, "You can eat it all, or you want to split it?" He looks at me although I've lost my mind. I get the $15.00 Margarita Pizza. Magical crust is wafer thin, yet allows toppings to defy gravity. Really a wonder of culinary craftsmanship, allowed me to eat most of the pizza myself: Fresh golden tomatoes and liberal use of basil. Devine! Christmas enchiladas were inhaled. I had a small taste: delicious, but believe I'll be sleeping much easier with Margarita.

Field Goods Kitchen, located mid-Cerrillos Road, presents farm-to-table dining along with a smart selection of craft beers (wine is also available). Since opening in 2013, the restaurant has been undoubtedly the best on its block, and remains great today. My girlfriend and I came in for dinner before seeing a concert at Meow Wolf. Having recently given up both beer and red meat, we were overjoyed to find many items on the menu which fit both our appetites and dietary preferences. The kale salad was a delight: lightly dressed in olive oil, chock full both of shredded kale and chunks of potato, mushroom, red onion, and other vegetables. This salad is filling, delicious, and nutritious. The fish and chips also impressed. While it didn't quite fit the description/photos, the food was more than adequate. The fish was breaded and fried just right, tasted fresh, and had the perfect texture. The potatoes paired nicely, as did the coleslaw, which carried a charming flavor of dill. Service was on point and very gracious. We closed down the restaurant but the staff made us feel welcome and in no rush at all. Always made sure we had water in our glasses. Had a great time and looking forward to returning. (Also, if you read my previous review, please note that they no longer do breakfast here.)

Santa Fe's food scene has been exceptional. After experiencing Meow Wolf, we stopped at this restaurant located in a strip mall that turned out to be a gem. We split a salad and they actually served it in two portions. The salad was interesting with flavorful beets and sautéed mushrooms. We shared a margarita pizza and their wood fired oven delivered a crust that was crispy yet had a nice chew. The topping tasted fresh and paired well with ten crust. Plus a nearby family has an adorable baby and the parents let me get my baby hugging fix. What more can you ask for!

Black mussels in a pretty amazing sauce...

A must eat at restaurant if you're near Meow Wolf. After exploring the museum we walked here to grab lunch. It hit the spot. Interesting menu, ranging from burgers, wood fire pizza, burritos, steak au poivre, Xmas enchiladas, to Pho!! I mean there is something for everyone! We got 1/2 pound black mussels and wood fired pizza with mushrooms. I have the say the sauce on the mussels was out of this world good. You will find yourself dipping the toasted bread in that sauce and you just can't stop! Our waiter was really attentive to our needs (we had a party of 8, half of which were kids) and gave great recommendations.

Amazing food but ok service. Our waters were never refilled and there was hardly any ice so our drink were kinda warm. Inside it is very cozy small and tight. I wish this venue was bigger to make it a more comfortable setting. Our pizza barely fits the small two seated tables. Our waiter was friendly and recommended us some options since it was our first visit. We had the Oven Roasted Brussel Sprouts which was delicious I loved the bacon bites and cotija cheese. The main dish was the Pizza De Gallo with added pepperoni. The pepperoni was sliced strips which was perfect instead of round slices which make pools of grease. It was also cool to see the guy making the pizza fresh as he tosses the dough in the air and puts it in the oven. Out pizza was cooked to perfection. The bar area even had kids sitting because of lack of dining space it was a little odd to see. Also one of the bar tenders kept dropping glasses and making a scene must have been her first day. Even the cooks looked crammed being right behind the bar area. Prices are also a bit high but for the fresh ingredients I dont mind. I just wish there was more elbow room and better service.

Passing through Santa Fe and found this place off Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Got a flat bread and a bowl of green chili with a bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. Probably the best green chili we've ever had, in fact, had to order a second bowl. We'll be back next time we pass through.

Went here last night when I was in Santa Fe from Albuquerque. My friend said to pick wherever so I opened yelp and chose the first place I found that looked good and had great reviews. We were NOT disappointed! We shared the nacho special. Then I had the el cubano which was a mouthgasm. So delicious! Highly recommend.

The red has that deep, earthy flavor with just the right kick, while the green brings a brighter, roasted heat that balances everything out. Together? That classic "Christmas style" combo that hits on every level. The masa was soft and flavorful (not dry like you get at some places), and the filling was generous and well-seasoned. The sides sealed the deal--fluffy Spanish rice, hearty beans, and a fresh, crisp salad that cut through the richness perfectly. Portion size was solid, presentation was clean, and everything tasted like it was made with care--not rushed, not watered down for tourists. The shrimp and the vegetable appetizers were kind of ehhh. I did love the green chile stew. The enchiladas were good but nothing special. I also got a paloma and it was strong. Definitely tasted mezcal but not much of the other flavors. Also, they corrected their mistake but I did call in a reservation. It took three phone calls on two different days. The person who picked up took my reservation but apparently did NOT record it in their reservation book. When we got there our reservation was no where to be found and even worse, the hostess said this had been happening a few times but they didn't know who was taking these reservations and not writing them down. Now if it was a one off, I'm just unlucky, but if you're telling me it's an issue, I think it's something management should really work harder on solving. The hostess was nice enough to be like you'll be our first priority for seating if any reservations don't show up and we were able to get a table fairly quickly which I really do appreciate. Other than that one staff issue with the reservation, the other staff were all amazing and our waitress came by a few times to check in on us and her and other staff came around to refill water.

Just call it mango juice because that is what it was. The only bright spot of the entire meal was our waiter. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely great. I ordered the barbacoa plate, which came with four incredibly tiny tacos and beans. For $22, I was honestly shocked at how little meat was in each taco. Maybe a tablespoon at most. On top of that, the barbacoa had so many burnt pieces that they completely overpowered the flavor. I could barely taste anything besides char. I only finished it because I was starving. The beans were somehow even worse. They tasted like plain boiled beans with absolutely no seasoning. Not even salt. My girlfriend ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole for $28, and they were just as disappointing. It was basically two tiny rolled tortillas with the chicken sitting next to them instead of inside them. It made no sense. The mole sauce was decent, but it leaned much sweeter than savory. The only thing we left talking about was how disappointed we were. For the prices they charge, the portions and quality were nowhere close to worth it. We actually stopped at the Valero down the street afterward so I could grab a Milky Way ice cream because I was still hungry. That ended up being the best part of the night. Restaurant was beautiful too I guess.
