Very seldom especially as of late do I say this. Everything was really good. From the service to the food. My wife and mother in law loved the French onion soup. I'm basing this on exactly no meals consumed -- not that we didn't try. I'm using two stars because one seems overly punitive, but two might at least catch someone's attention. Six of us were staying across the street at the Beau Rivage. We made a reservation as we walked to the restaurant, well before closing. Business was slow; there were only a few occupied tables downstairs. Nevertheless, we were led to an upstairs alcove, tucked away in a corner -- and there we sat, completely ignored. We were visible from the staircase, and a few servers noticed us heading up or down. A few staffers peaked around the corner, then ducked away. No one said hi, offered menus, offered water, made an empty promise of having someone with us soon ... Nada. Irate customers routinely exaggerate the time they were waiting. It's human nature. I'm lowballing instead. It was 15 minutes, minimum, though probably more than 20. Finally, we just shrugged and left via a door to the upstairs deck. I suppose if we'd been patient we could have waited until the restaurant closed and then helped ourselves to the kitchen to cook our own dinner. Instead, as we walked away, the same gent who'd made the reservation called the restaurant to cancel it and explain why we had disappeared. He wound up leaving a message, which of course was never returned. As for our party of six, we wound up spending $300-plus at the Half Shell. It was terrific, and I'd recommend it. read more

We had a reservation for 6:30 atmosphere is great service was horrible we got our food after 8:30 pm it was cold and very salty. I believe our waitress forgot about us. Even after paying the bill, we had to get the busser help to retrieve my credit card the waitress failed to return it. We have dined at the Fields in Bay St Louis many times the food and service in Bay St Louis are always constant. Never had a problem in Bay St Louis. Would not recommend Fields in Biloxi. Sadly, it's a beautiful place but unfortunately with poor service and a lack of quality control with the food that is served, and poor service from the wait staff. read more

We were looking forward to dining here after great recommendations. We made a reservation for brunch on Open Table and noted that we would need a high chair for our 1 year old. We were promptly called to inform us that they do not offer high chairs or booster seats to customers. We asked if we could bring a booster seat and were told "their chairs are slanted and a booster seat probably won't work." We then asked if we could bring a clip on high chair to attach to the table and were told no because the "table is too small." They then told us we could bring our own "regular high chair" if we wanted. Because lugging along a full size high chair that we use in our home is a realistic, practical option. Basically, they don't want children at their restaurant. Would be nice if that was noted somewhere on their website. The food looks great, but don't plan on trying to eat here with kids. read more

Unfortunately, we can't even comment on the dining experience because we never got a table, despite having a reservation and arriving on time. We were offered seats at the second floor bar where we waited nearly twenty minutes with little more than a "be right there" from the bartender. By the time the bartender came to take our drink orders, we noticed that more than one of the parties that arrived after we did had already been seated. We held off on ordering drinks, and asked a manager for an explanation for the delay. His response was less than satisfactory, as he told us "There is no explanation. We ate at the bar upstairs, just because we like bars. Well done, but there crowded a lot of tables in there from what I remember. It's been a month or so. We started with an oyster sampler that they were offering. They were all great but I especially loved the Bayou Blue. I had the ribeye and she had the lobster Mac. The mains were perfect. The specialty cocktails were great. My only grievance was that each side we tried sucked. I didn't let that influence my score because we didn't go there for the sides. Just thought I'd mention. I believe we had the truffle fries (worst) and asparagus. I don't even know how you screw up truffle fries. Oh well. Still a solid choice. read more

Great food in an upscale setting. Great mixed drinks; the key lime martini was amazing and all the drinks we had were great. Make sure you have about 1.75-2 hours to spend if you're going to have dinner, because the food is pretty slow coming out. If you've got the time though, it's a good experience. We visited Field's for the first time Saturday evening. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and knew the menu. The timeliness of receiving our drinks and food was on point. We ordered the blue crab au gratin for our appetizer. It was absolutely spectacular. Only downside was the toasted baguettes were very, very crisp. For our main meal we split the surf & turf. This entree included a 16 oz filet, crab cake, 3 stuffed shrimp and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly to order but lacked in flavor, the crab cake was okay and the stuffed shrimp were overcooked. We also ordered the potatoes romanoff. They were average. We did not try any desserts. We may give them one more try but will not rush back quickly. read more
