Looks like it's about time for our annual review of Fiesta. And, happily for all, it's still delightful. The food is very good, the servers right on top of things, and the atmosphere remains delightfully downscale funky. What more, you ask, could I ask for? Here's what gets us going: consistency. Every time we come by here our meal is as good as the last time, and we leave already eager for a return visit sooner rather than later. As ever, the chicken tortilla soup is heavenly, the tangy broth complemented by the cilantro, chicken strips and fresh, crunchy tortillas. Ah..... They offer up some good drinks -- think margarita, mojito, etc. -- and also a tasty mango limeade and a soft, chocolatey, sumptuous Mexican hot chocolate, perfect on a chilly afternoon. We're fans, obviously. And we think you'll find much to enjoy if you drop by. It's right off downtown Main Street, not always easy to spot, however, and there's plenty of parking in the rear. read more

I'm visiting family and my first time here. Kinda have to know it's there. Aka Hidden gem. We had the birria rolls. Absolutely delicious. Love the music and vibe of this spot. Delicious variety of margaritas and solid beer selection! The mango habanero wings were tasty and crispy, not greasy. Shrimp tacos were very good as was the chicken tortilla soup. The fiesta combo was huge and did not disappoint. The server was exceptional- this place is amazing! read more

I was very disappointed with my meal last night. I ordered takeout and when I got home, I found the Tres compadre tacos had absolutely no condiments on the tacos. The meat was extremely dried out, and though I asked for the shells to be crispy, they look like they were burnt. it looks like someone in the kitchen was not paying attention and the food was never checked before it went out the door. I've always had a good experience visiting this restaurant and the food has always been good. I was very very disappointed with the food I received last night. I hope they upped their game in the future and someone's double checking that food before it goes out the door specially takeout. read more

My wife loves quesadillas. Whenever we go out for Mexican food, it's an even money bet that she'll order one, as she did on Saturday at the Fiesta Bar and Grille. So it was significant that just a few minutes into her meal she said something very interesting about her food ---"this may be the best quesadilla I've ever had". We had an excellent lunch at the Fiesta Bar and Grille, starting with the complimentary bowl of warm chips and very flavorful (but not spicy) salsa. A salsa refill was $1, and trust me . ..you won't mind paying that one bit. The chicken quesadilla ($17.95) was an impossibly huge portion of cheese and super tender chicken between two  grilled flour tortillas and served with sour cream, rice and beans. I went for a Burrito Bowl ($14.95) without meat and was happy with a big plate full of rice, beans, pico de gallo, cheese, guacamole, and lettuce. Great flavors, great color, great presentation, great value. Our young sever was professional and attentive, and we both took home half of our meals for another use. Mixed reviews from our group of 4. We all loved the fresh guacamole. The Mercian Flag enchiladas with steak were also a hit. The Black bean soup was disappointing. It was more of a spicy tomato soup used for tortilla soup with a few black beans in it and raw peppers. The Fiesta wrap was just ok. Cold chicken in a wrap. Bottom line, stick with enchiladas and the guacamole. read more

Wow! Haven't had Mexican food this fresh and delicious since I was in Arizona in February! Tostada with ground beef was so good I overstuffed my stomach. Could not stop eating. Fresh salsa and perfect corn tortilla chips could've been a soup. I almost just ate the salsa with a spoon like gazpacho. Friendliest server, our food was delivered to the table within 15 minutes of ordering. Cutest little place. Worth the hour drive to get here! read more

This place is fire! We had the Molcajete - different meats served in a lava-bowl - delicious, fresh. Service was fast. The place was not too crowded, the music is not too loud - perfect for a Saturday lunch. Highly recommend! read more

This is one of our go to spots for Mexican! The people who work here are always so kind and helpful. They are really attentive and the cocktails are always fresh and worth the money. The colorful and fun artwork on the walls really creates a great atmosphere and is one of my favorite parts of the restaurant. The food is always a hit with us and anyone we bring along to enjoy. There was an issue once with our stuffed peppers not being cooked all the way and instead of getting frustrated with us, they took care of the issue and took it off our bill which we appreciated so much. The only downside is that they charge $12 for fresh guacamole which they used to make in a large molcajete which was well worth the price for the portion, but now it comes in something about the same size as the plastic containers for the free salsa and chips and it just isn't worth the $12 for the small amount they give now. read more

We went out on a Monday night to catch up with a friend. The atmosphere was wonderful and the waitress was very attentive and brought us our drinks right away. The beer was good, the first margarita was water downed, but the second was strong! We ended up just ordering chips and queso with our drinks. The queso was spot on dropped out of a Chef-Boyardee can. The beer was good though. We thoroughly enjoyed our night out! read more

Fun spot, conveniently located to shops and parking. Delicious gluten free options, friendly prompt service, in a nice ambience.

I was lured in here by the overall Yelp rating, however I found the food and service here just ok. The menu did have a nice selection of Mexican options, but in some cases flavor and taste were lacking. We are big on Mexican food and have had some of the best Mexican in Colorado, Arizona and California, so that's the basis of this rating. Service was friendly, albeit extremely slow. It took us at least 20 minutes to get our bill, even though the place was not that crowded. There are a few other Mexican restaurants in the area to choose from. read more

The service at this establishment was unfortunately subpar. It took over 40 minutes for a server to take our order. Following this, it was an additional 20 minutes before my drink was served. Despite requesting ice with my soda, the server returned with two empty cups. After an extensive wait of more than an hour and a half, our food finally arrived. Food slapped tho. This is one of our dates night favorites! Food and margaritas are always great. Chips and salsa are always fresh and come out at the same time you sit down. The Fiesta Bar is in a great location, it's always nice to take little walk after dinner. One of our favorite items on the menu is their fried ice cream, which we always look forward to. Unfortunately the last time we were here we were handed the dessert menu, when we ordered the ice cream we were told they did not have it so we were a little let down that we were not told while being handed the dessert menu, but there is always next time so it isn't a deal breaker for another visit! read more

My wife & I ordered taco dinners and proceeded to wait forever. We flagged down our waitress and she needed to be reminded as to what we ordered. She then promised that our meals would arrive shortly. They didn't. We flagged down another waitress and she said our waitress was "new". We were going to walk out when they promised that our meal would come soon. My wife thought that they had forgotten our meal. After a really long time, our meals arrived, but my wife's was not exactly what she had ordered. It came with a spicy sauce that wasn't specified on the menu. Great! We come here from Pittsfield for date night. Their team is always nice and the food is awesome and great quality. Margaritas too. Boyfriend gets a combo plate and I love their tacos. We lived in San Diego for the past 5 years and have struggled to find Mexican food in Massachusetts that compares. We make the drive for this place. Definitely recommend! Returned and enjoyed the lively outdoor space (converted parking lot) that features live jazz on the weekend! Sipped margaritas one evening and sangria another weekend, complimentary warm fresh chips with salsa sealed the deal. Oh, and Mr Big (Chris Noth) was at the next table -- he's a local. Excellent food and service. My wife ordered the cheese enchilada with mole sauce. The mole sauce was very tasty. I had the cheese stuffed pablaono pepper, that plus the rice and black beans were the best. Pains me to do this, as almost all of my reviews are of the 4 - 5 star variety. I especially do not want to hurt a small (likely family) business. But, ate here yesterday w my wife and youngest child - and it was abysmal. This is some bogus conception of "americanized Mexican cuisine" - lazy, not passionate, not authentic and just plain not good. The guac tasted pretty good - but arrived at the table almost minutes after ordering - led me to believe it was not fresh made. Chips and salsa were serviceable at very best - but the salsa had no balls - none whatsoever. Bland and whitebread. We ordered the shrimp fajitas, a vegetable burrito, and a cheeseburger and fries from the kids menu. All subpar. The shrimp fajitas @ $22 was a fail - about 5 nice size and decent quality shrimps - but no sear on them - interestingly, the veg that came w them was the best thing i ate at this meal - peppers and onions that were cooked well - tasted really good. But the accompaniments to the dish (shredded lettuce, that same pre made guac, rice and beans) - were all just eh - really not very good. My wife had the veg burrito - laughably bad - no passion - really nothing worth talking about.. The kids cheeseburger @ $10 ? Let's just say - NO. awfully lousy meat - on a decent bun + frozen fries. Man - make FRESH FRIES. The fam that runs this place is running on fumes. They need to close the restaurant for a few days and have a heart to heart with each other. There must be someone in the fam (or somewhere near great barrington) that can cook with passion. Someone that will take the time to do things right. that will use fresher and better ingredients to make their customers want to come back. Again, I'm sorry for this harsh critique, and the last thing I want to do is hurt a small biz. - but until these above issues are addressed, this place is an absolute no-go. Finally, to add insult to injury - my (beautiful) wife ordered an iced tea - then she asked for a refill - the waiter brought her a new iced tea and charged us an additional $3 for that refill tea. We hit this little Mexican cafe every time we're in Great Barrington. We were back recently and were so happy to see that they're doing well through the pandemic. They offer outdoor seating, but we opted for inside and had the bar area to ourselves. The food here is always fresh, delicious and authentic. The margaritas are delicious. Get the strawberry mojito! Salsa was mediocre. And Guacamole was wayyyy too expensive for how much you get - but it was good. Apparently it can be made table side if you so desire but we were not offered that option. My meal was arroz con pollo and it was delicious. And the fish tacos were way better than I was expecting. They aren't Afraid of flavor or spice in their entrees which I appreciate. After all, you want a little kick when you eat Mexican don't you?! My boyfriend and I stopped in before our meal for a quick drink. We were greeted by a sharp, funny & amiable bartender, Juice, who recommended that night's special - a Horchata Martini (which she knew to be good, as she had made the whole fresh batch). We ordered one of those & a Poma Margarita, both of which were tremendous. We enjoyed the beverages and the sort of divey (in a good way) bar area so much that we ended up coming back for a few more Horchata Martinis after dinner. Service was excellent. I had ground beef enchiladas with mole. I found the beef to be ok. Not overly flavorful. Same for the mole. Nothing remarkable about the enchiladas or the sides of beans and rice. It wasn't terrible by any means. Just average I'd say. What did strike me was the temperature of all the food on the plate. Our meals came quickly but the food was only warm, not hot at all. I prefer my plate to be hot. The food cooled quickly and the mole and enchiladas were actually cool by the time I finished them. read more
