Probably one of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. From the very beginning this place was crap. The chips were awful and kind of stale. Our waitress was extremely rude and made it obvious she was in more of a hurry to get away from her tables than actually serve them. The food was DISGUSTING! I think this place needs to learn what flavor is and what seasonings are because they don't have any of that. read more

This restaurant is soo good! I order the three taco combo plate with beans and rice. The rice is so delicious. I asked for a tweak in the tacos since I enjoy more authentic mexican tacos without cheese ( i get the shredded chicken tacos with onion and cilantro and lime wedges) and ask for the spicy salsa on the side. Their horchata is so delicious as well! Get one to go too. My husband enjoyed the shredded chicken salad as well. We will always stop here on our way through Lansing here on out. Was very pleased with this spot. Conveniently located near major cross roads. But more importantly - the food was excellent, the service was prompt and very good. We got there early and tried the lunch specials. They were very well prepared and arrived at our table very quickly. The interior is nice, very clean and has the right ambiance as well. Noticed it is popular with folks of all ages and the lunch crowd started trickling in (we got there early). I had the 'Speedy Gonzalez' (Taco, enchilada and some beans) and my friend had the Burrito Roqueta (which was served with tomatillos, pico de gallo and a bit of rice). They have a very extensive menu and tons of hot condiments (Cholula brand). As soon as we were seated, a nice bowl of tortilla chips appeared along with some ranch and salsa dipping sauce. I've been here 4 times now and mostly, it's been great. The last time I went was on Mother's Day -- not so great, but not the worst either. They seemed to be short staffed -- we started out with a waiter, then after our orders were taken, he disappeared - we never saw him again! Fortunately, the owner/manager (???) and another woman, maybe his wife or a relative took over. It was a little confusing. Just long waiting times for our food. We even went early because we knew it would be busy later on. They seemed to have more waitstaff at 5:30, as we were about to leave, so that's good for the others I hope. Each of us had rice with our dishes -- but there were chunks of potato in them. It was fine, but kind of odd. Sort of like they used either the same pan to cook rice and potatoes or the same serving utensil. I wasn't terribly bothered by the experience -- we'll continue to go here. My husband and daughter seemed more upset by it, for some reason. read more

My wife saw this place recently when she had to take a detour. We visited on a Friday night and we both agree that we will come back. Not real busy so we were seated right away by a really nice waitress. For drinks I ordered a frozen Margherita, my wife had a Diet Coke. The Margherita was excellent. At the suggestion of our waitress, we both ordered fajitas. My wife had the Texas fajitas (shrimp, steak and veggies). I ordered fajitas Del Mar (crab, shrimp, scallops & tilapia plus veggies). Choice of corn or flour tortillas and the usual guacamole, rice, beans, etc. One word: SPECTACULAR! Best fajitas I've ever had. Super portions, hot from the kitchen, very flavorful. And cooked perfectly. So easy to over cook seafood. Not here. Perfectly prepared. We were both extremely pleased with our meals. Big positive recommendation. The only thing I'd like them to do is clean the front windows. They weren't awful but they were a distraction (for me). read more

This place well known to all folks as they literally serve shit to their customers and proud of it . They refry their meat just like beans week b4 and then serve it . If you complain about the food they tell to go somewhere else if you don't like it . They do not deserve any stars at all but unfortunately they call them selfs a restaurant... hahaha . Good Mexican atmosphere with authentic music and decorations. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The restaurant was well-kept, modern, and clean. The endless, maze-like corridors can feel a little disorienting at first but it opens up to more intimate booths. I really enjoyed my chicken fajitas that arrived on a sizzling cast iron skillet. My partner ordered the seafood tacos trio that comes with battered fish, grilled shrimp, and shredded crab meat. The grilled shrimp was on the spot. For the fish tacos, I've tasted better. The crab meat tacos didn't actually come with crab meat. They used imitation crab! read more

Service was good and fast. Everyone was friendly. The zombie drink was so strong.. which imo is always good. Our food was great too. The burrito with pineapple, shrimp, chicken and beef was incredible.... it was called preferido. I just had the worst taco salad ever and it was at the Fiesta Charra in East Lansing near the new Cosco. I had the lunch menu taco salad. The shredded chicken was EXTREMELY salty. It had very little (if any) lettuce in it and very little tomato and I saw no cheese in it. And to top it all, I just discovered after I got home that I was overcharged. My order #0451 dated 1/14/19at 2:05:34pm charged me $8.79+.53tx=$9.32 and this is what the menu says---- Taco Salad 7.25 "...A crispy flour tortilla shell filled with your choice of seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream..." I also thought taco salads were to include beans ...at least most mexican places include them..even fast food places like taco bell. So what do I do about being overcharged for my terrible food??? read more

Food taste good, but this has happened more than once that the service was very slow and the waitress gave more than one person at our table the wrong food. Management really needs to improve there service and this place would be great. We have gone here multiple times here with large groups but are considering going some place else next time. read more

If I could rate this negative stars, I would. The cheese is a gross slimy substance. The steak was charred and tasteless, almost crunchy. The nachos were just gross. On the plus side the chips and salsa were ok. We did not have drinks. read more

One of my favorite Mexican places in the Lansing area. Portions are generous and the prices for those portions are quite reasonable. The food is definitely good, but certainly not gourmet. Went there with a group that bragged about it in the past. Too much build-up. What a let down. Most of the group must have had limited experience eating out, especially Mexican food. I would not recommend at all. Went there for lunch on Saturday and my sister found a hair in her food. She sent it back to the kitchen and they made her a new one. She ate some of it and then found ANOTHER hair. We AGAIN sent it back and the waitress AND manager accused us of planting the hair there. I understand it's unlikely to find a hair twice, but to blatantly accuse us of planting the hair is not only horrific to experience as a customer but awful from a management position. Quanity not quality. Not authentic or fresh Mexican food. I have a severe food allergy (Anaphylaxis) to avocados. The entree I ordered came with guacamole. I told the server of my severe allergy & ordered it without the guacamole. When he brought my meal it had guacamole. I asked for a "new" entree & please do not just scrape it off the top.
