Lunch specials galore! What a great spot for it! Give yourself some time as service can be on the slower side. When I was here there was 1 staff member attending to ALL tables + the bar. We came in at a great time, 12:30pm. At that point there were maybe 10 other people. By 1pm though there was at least 30-40 guests. The ambiance is similar to a taqueria. You definitely get taken out of Streamwood and placed into Mexico. Music is very loud which can be an issue to some. For food I had the taco duo which came with 2 tacos (I picked Al pastor), as well as refried beans and rice. The tacos were DELICIOUS. Flavorful, good portion, and juicy. The rice and beans were meh. Kind of bland but I've had worse. I did hear others complain about some of the proteins not being available (ground beef). This wasn't an issue for me but could be if someone was coming here strictly for that. For $7.99 I thought this was a great and fair lunch special offered Monday - Friday. It was storming out and we wanted to eat close to home and I am always craving some good Menudo and was so happy they made some today! Good food but they started adding a 20% automatic tip to their bills a while back. I had forgotten about this and went back last night and was sorely reminded. My friend recommended this restaurant for our meet up tonight. Best decision, they had a Taco Tuesday special buy one taco dinner and take one home free. I had two barbacoa and one steak taco, All with cilantro and onion. These were the best barbacoa tacos I've had, and I've had a lot of good "legit" tacos. The meat was juicy, filled with flavor. Every time I visit there, food is always spot on. And if you have any mishap, ask them, they are there to serve you and make you happy! They have served me, my friends, my significant other, and family. The food is absolutely fantastic, their signature drinks on top of the world. You have to wait over half an hour sometimes for this dish. We were patient and excited to devour the sizzling meat and seafood. Lo behold, the "parrillada" arrived in a silver family style plate. WHAT. I was shocked. But at this point we were starving and ate it. Third visit was taco Tuesday. Waited about a half hour for 6 little tacos. There was only four small group tables who were already eating. We also ordered a Diet Coke so we can refill. We got a Diet Coke can. Hm, okay. We asked the waitress for a refill. She said we got a can and it doesn't come with refills. She didn't give us the option in the first place. After discussing this, she said the soda machine is broken.
