Saw Fiesta add on Instagram about fresh Menudo daily. Went today after Mass and I tell you it was worth $14.99. Very clean no strong smell, the menudo was cut just right and not too much hominy. It's really red and not Spicy my wife actually liked it because of just the flavor and not all spicy. If you like clean red tasty menudo I recommend Fiesta it was really delicious. We ordered a Family Platter to take to a UFC Party, everything about it was great! The portion was massive, the meat was juicy even the salsa and BBQ sauce were terrific. Very 1st time here and it was well worth it! The employees are nice, hard working, go the extra mile and courteous. The store was very clean and orderly. Very busy but orderly. The main guy, didn't get his name, is super friendly, interactive and communicative. I'd rather wait for FRESH HOT FOOD than get ready made food with regrets and complaints. Food is FANTASTIC! Fiesta Foods is a small market with an excellent meat counter. On some days of the week they do a decent BBQ. You order at the meat counter, you pay at the cashier, and then you wait for your BBQ dinner with salad, beans, and a torta roll. The steak and chicken are good. The beef ribs are tough. Maybe that's a valid style but I like fall-off-the-bone tender ribs. But the beans are delicious and full of jalapenos so they are very spicy! Yum! You can call ahead for the BBQ dinner. Otherwise it's about a ten minute wait for your food. Adjacent to the Food Market is a taqueria run by some very nice ladies. The taqueria is a separate business. Their chile verde is pretty much the best in town. It is tender and flavorful with good heat. The tortas are also great. Meals come with handmade corn or flour tortillas. The spicy shrimp dinner comes in a delicious sauce. The rice and beans they serve have a tasty homemade flavor. The taqueria is well worth a visit. read more

Saw this place on social media. Sent the pos to my friends who went there and said it was amazing so we drove the hour to the store. We started with what we saw on time the $19 plate. 5 kinds of meat beans a roll and salad filled the plate and it had to be close to 3lbs. All the meat was perfect and the guys even cooked us a couple samples of the meat we ordered. Left with 2lbs of Al Pasto (marinated pork), 2.5lbs Carne Asada (marinated flank steak), and fajitas de pollo (marinated chicken with peppers and onions). So far we have cooked all of the meat and will always come back weekly. They also have Steaks and other meats to order. Prices are amazing compared to grocery stores meat was so much more fresh and having the ability to have some cooked while you wait on red oak knocks this place out of the park. The girl wanted menudo, and having seen this place on Facebook and IG claiming they were good, we stopped off to get some menudo and horchata. First, I had to wait over 15 minutes to get the order, and I was the only person there. Then, the horchata (costing $6) literally was the worst horchata we've ever tasted. It tasted weak like rice water, with no creaminess and barely a hint of cinnamon. As for the menudo ($13), charging extra for a Pata is something we've never experienced in town. She said it tasted like the tripe wasn't cleaned and lacked flavor even after all of the side ingredients were added. The corn tortillas tasted fresh made and that was pretty much the only positive experience of the visit. read more

Me and my wife are new to the area and absolutely love this place. We were first attracted to it as a result of the Harris Ranch meats, but have continued to patronize them as a result of the friendly and helpful staff and decent selection of grocery items for such a small store. It does help that we are new to the area, and they are right around the corner, but we would be happy driving further if we were treated badly or never able to find what we need. Purchased a BBQ chicken & rib plate. Meat was dry, hard and inedible. Gusto we service was extremely slow and rude staff. Small portions for overpriced I edible food. Save your money and get fresh food elsewhere. You pay for your purchase inside the store where the food is held in a refrigerator (should have been my first clue). Store is dirty and lacks basic housekeeping tasks. Ceiling fan over meat counter has caked on grime and dirt. Never again. Ended up throwing their food away. Why 5 stars? Because the owner of this place is a super nice guy and they prepare some great meats (tri tip and chili verde to be specific). I was craving some chili verde last week. It was exactly 7:06 on my clock. I called them to see when they closed. The owner told me 7:00, but asked what I needed? I told him I was craving some chili verde, rice, and beans. He asked where I lived and how soon I could get there. Told him about 8-10 mins? He said he would have it packaged up and ready for me. I drove as fast as I could, lights where off and he was closed. I got me stuff and was on my way. Besides the GREAT service, the meats are great. Have never bought anything from the small selection of grocery items. I'm not judging ANYTHING other than the taco shop inside the store. Went there without an appetite and left the place thinking I had just ate the best carne asada burrito in Bakersfield (Huichos and El Taco Loco truck on Panama Lane included). The lady there makes all the tortillas by hands and you can basically get any Mexican plate you can think of as well as BBQ plates.
