Queso... Or at least there was supposed to be.

Nice job with the takeout queso, Fiesta Time. Guess I better check at the restaurant before bringing a half-empty container home to the family...

Fiesta Time Amigos is a solid place. I went for lunch with coworkers and no one left disappointed. The service was great. Very attentive staff, able to answer my questions about gluten free items. My fajitas lunch portion was perfectly sized. Their chips and salsa were pretty good, too. Thor chips are gluten free, and their corn tortillas look home made! Typical Mexican restaurant vibes for lunch time. I would certainly go back.

Prompt greet at the door with immediate seating, great start! We had a large party so they sat us in a room that provided a little privacy from the main dining area. Our server was outstanding, he was not frazzled by the large party giving us ample time to to order. There was a lot of alcohol ordered..he brought beverages and water chips and salsa and promptly returned with the bar orders. He took food orders ( I had the Chili Rojo) and when the food arrived to the tables....not one dish was incorrect! How's that for service? The food was outstanding. It's a laid back atmosphere, families, people on dates and the regular Saturday night dinners. It was a great experience, I highly recommend you give them a night out!

Bar area is a great hangout place!

Always a hit! Great good, cold beer and super fast service! I always opt for outside, weather permitting.

    Worst quesadilla ever!!!!

Worst steak quesadilla ever!!!. Literally meat thrown in a tortilla. They didn't even out Pico or sour cream on it as advertise.

This was the first Mexican restaurant I tried after moving to Louisville because it's in a really convenient location in Middletown. It's nestled in the inner corner of a strip mall. They have a large outdoor patio that I love. I've tried the grilled shrimp which comes with a hefty 12 skewered shrimp over rice covered in queso and a couple of their combos. I've always enjoyed everything I've tried. Their margaritas are pretty dang good too!

Fiesta Time is one of my favorite places to go when Mexican is on the brain and I feel a lot of people must agree as they are always busy; however, we rarely have a wait but last night (on a Thursday) we had a :20 wait. Everything is always so delicious and service is always good. They have a nice patio if it's a nice day. This location is a large location and can hold big parties... I've reserved space for 30+ people and was accommodated in their back room with great service. Another friend even rented out their patio for a large gathering one time and did more of a catering service rather than ordering from a menu. There's a few dishes I typically choose between... the Juan's special, a naked fajita taco salad, or burrito al carbon. Always tasty. Last night, I decided to order something different, the Pollo Asado. Nothing crazy, just a grilled chicken breast with peppers, onions, served with rice, pico, and tortillas so you basically could make your own fajita tacos. It was a great meal and I couldn't even finish it. A friend tried something new too... the seafood burrito that was recommended by our waiter. She loved it. Although I didn't have it last night and don't have a picture of it, I highly recommend the Guacamole Mario... it's basically a guacamole salad and soooo good!

I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

When we arrived we had a brief wait before we checked in, and were seated on the second level. Our server was excellent, our service was quick and he was always around without hovering. It was bitter cold outside so instead of my usual margarita ($14+) I opted for a beer ($6). We started with the salsa trio, one of my favorites with handmade assorted chips. It includes three salsas, somewhat spicy, sweet tomato and tomatillo - the spicy and sweet were my favorites. Next we ordered the tacos el carbon and carbon burrito - pricing is expensive! We both ordered our steaks medium rare. My tacos had a beautiful presentation, the meat came out on a skewer and smoking from the hot coals. All toppings were repeated on the plate. The steak was overcooked and tough though. Had a nice smoke to it, but very chewy. My husband enjoyed his burrito but wasn't the best he's ever had. They also had a mariachi band walk around but they had "tips" all over their instruments and clothes. Overall we had a nice meal but the price point doesn't equal the food quality.

The chips and salsa were good and seemed really fresh. I loved my lunch chimichanga ($13), the best I have had in a while. The vegetarian tacos ($15) were okay, they were definitely messy to eat and needed more salt but the salsa verde helped. The refried beans were good, more flavorful than the normal beans you seem to get everywhere else. Aside from the lunch specials their prices look a little higher than your typical Mexican place but if ingredients are fresh and a step up in quality, I don't mind too much. Street tacos also looked good and things you cant get everywhere (Suadero anyone?) so I will probably be heading back to try those and a margarita flight.

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!
