A great banquet hall. Out of the 3 banquet halls that my workplace has hosted our holiday parties at the past few years, Fiesta is by far my most favorite one. The valet dropoff lobby looks very nice, in fact almost looks like a spa place, with all the natural cut stones. The hall that we were at perfectly fit 50ish of us and still enough room for dance floors and photobooth. The foods were delicious! Chicken francaise was definitely my favorite. Had a babyshower in this place!!!Everything was great until we were approached by the gentleman ( apparently the owner) about the tip for the captain?! The 22% gratuity was included and as a person that has worked in this industry I am familiar with the catering and restaurant rules, tip for the captain is OPTIONAL and definitely should NOT be demanded when included ( of course, unless you skip on their hourly rate or keep their included gratuity which is not a guest concern)!!! If it is demanded then let's start with clean linens on the tables!!! Yes, the exterior needs updating. Yes, the Caribbean Room screams 1977. And yes, most people have never experienced the Casa de Rosa. But what's also true about the Fiesta is that their service and execution are value-priced. Full bars are located at the entrance of every room. The waitstaff are always professional and always get your order right. There are 4 rooms to choose from, with the Fiesta Room being the smallest and the Casa de Rosa being the largest. I would say that I am a Fiesta expert. I have attended well over 3 dozen events at this venue. And each time I've enjoyed my experience. From Sweet 16's to Christenings, I've been here enough to know what's good and what to bypass. Always go for the steak or the fish. Whether it's Filet Mignon, New York Strip or Prime Rib...you won't be disappointed. The salmon and mahi-mahi are always prepared well. You do have to realize that this is a catering facility, so the fare can resemble what you would find at a higher-end cafeteria. Is that an oxy-moron? I came here for my friends birthday party and i like this place. it is a nice catering/banquet hall and the staff was very nice here! everything was setup very nice for his birthday the whole atmosphere was done right for his party i do not thing anything went wrong here. the food was very delicious i might add :) the fish the chicken slamming i loved it. the bar seemed a bit outdated like it was from the 80's or something i guess? but it didn't matter to me really though. overall whoever cooks the food yummm! nice place! read more

The amount of times I have been to the Fiesta is ridiculous. I went 12 times alone just for my HS Varsity Award dinners. Keeping the tradition alive, the school where I work now has their Senior Fashion Show/Tricky tray here, and it's always a good time. In the past several years they have made some renovations. I actually really liked the old set-up too, but this new layout is more open and provides more space (I'm always on the smaller of the two sides for private events, so I can't speak on behalf of all of the renovations). Food is very predictable. I have been getting the chicken francaise for over 12 years now. They also provide a beef or salmon option. Not too sure what other types of food packages they have since I've never sampled them, but if you're looking for consistency, this is the way to go: Bread, house salad (small and plain but good house dressing), pasta with red sauce, main entree, and vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and whip cream..Lent, you won again! (I gave up chocolate haha). The food is not over-the-top in terms of presentation, but for a group as large as ours, the service is always quick, efficient, pleasant, and accommodating. They were also able to time the food well, especially with the hundreds of baskets that needed to be won and distributed during the tricky tray. I'm on board with the tradition, and I hope they have many more successful years to come! It tasted like typical catered hall food, but what can you expect from a venue that's been there for decades. Yesterday was my first time at Fiesta Catering hall. I was there for a circle of Cyrene event that I found out is usually hosted there year after year. Pulling up to the place, it looked like a typical catering hall to me. HUGE. We pulled in and I noticed that the valets were scrambling to make sure all the cars were getting parked and there wasn't any traffic or back up. That was nice because its still winter time. Upon entering, I expected to be greeted by who I don't know but by some body. It was a bit chaotic when we entered, there were probably other events going on. Still I would of liked for there to be some direction, a sign even announcing where to go for certain parties. We happened to see a bar and moved in that direction which so happened to be the direction of our party. It was the only way we found them. The room right in front of the bar is where the event was held. We entered and it was a bit dated. It had floral wall paper and stars on the ceiling. It had a juliette style balcony on one end and stairs leading up to a second floor on the other. When we first sat down, our table server came over immediately introduced herself and asked us our order for the evening. I thought since she came right over and acknowledged us that she would be this attentive and proactive all night...she was not. Now if there is one thing that ruffles my feathers, its bad service. She was polite, was not rude just was not that attentive. I saw other table servers going over more and being more attentive. Perhaps she was new though. Next lets talk about the dinner. It started with a fruit bowl. Good pieces of cantaloupe and pineapple. Next was the salad plate. I will say that it did seem like a good chunk of time between dishes. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be staggered that way or if the kitchen got backed up. Either way it made a hungry girl starving. After salad the broccoli soup and bread basket came out. The soup was delish! I ate my date's bowl it was so good. The bread was cool, cold but cool. After soup was the entree plates. I had the filet of sole stuffed with crabmeat, a twice baked potato and veggies. My boyfriend had the chicken franchaise with double veggies. Both were very very good. With the food, they really did not disappoint. AOverall the event itself was nice. I do think that the room we were in at least needed a little updating. Even the microphone kept going in and out. That was a little annoying. I'm not sure if I would book a party here but seeing how this group books here regularly, I expect to go back. I hope my reviews will improve with each visit. Oh I will shout out Tammy as one of the servers who was on point and friendly. She is a fav there and really was attentive and adamant about serving her guests. The changes that they made are just beautiful to the interior of the facility! We were in the banquet hall to the left (over the little bridge). I loved the bar area and the chandeliers that were added. Bathrooms were very clean - but very cold, not sure if there was heat over there or because it was so close to the doors where everyone smokes. My major complaint was the food. I was at a sports dinner so the tickets were not super expensive so I know you get what you pay for...but the foods were just under par. Soda was flat, salad was tossed greens with nothing added to it - no croutons, olives, onions. The pasta was ok - just pasta with sauce thrown on it. The bread was cold - which is such a bummer when you are coming right from work looking to eat! I was let down by their vegetarian option. It was just all the sides on a plate, in most other catering halls there is always some dinner option for vegetarians, penne vodka, eggplant parm, risotto, etc. - nope just got some potatoes and vegetables! Have been trying to get my deposit back for a party we were Going to hold here but due to Covid we could not. Was told I could have a credit of what my deposit was to hold a function at a future date at the establishment. I told them I have nothing planned to have a party and would like my deposit refunded said I should be happy they are giving me a credit being that not a lot of companies are doing this and I will not be getting my money back. How do you take my money not have the party and not give me the money back is it cause you used my money to buy stuff for other parties you were holding and don't have my funds anymore. I'm currently attending my son's awards dinner that is serving a buffet of food full of non vegan options. My son and I are both vegan. Prior to this dinner I worked with the coordinator for our league's dinner and spoke to the point of contact for the Fiesta. The Fiesta assured me that there would be options available for my son and I. I spoke to a few workers overseeing the buffet to ask them where the vegan options are? They offered me salmon?! I then spoke to another person who works at the Fiesta (the owner), who again offered me salmon and complained about how he had to make separate dishes on demand for me and also worry about the 600 attendees. We had our reception here in 2014 but we still rave about it any chance we get. The staff, food, location, everything is five stars. They refused to refund my deposit during COVID-19. If the venue cannot meet its contractual obligations for whatever reason and if I, the client, do not want to wait or reschedule for personal reasons then it's not fair that I can't don't receive a refund of my deposit. The CRAZY thing is they know they can't honor the agreement but they won't call you to cancel they will wait for you to cancel so they can hit you with "but you canceled, it says in the contract". How unethical is that?. I understand in normal circumstances a deposit is non-refundable but in this circumstance, during a pandemic, an exception should be made. read more

If you're planning an event, I highly recommend The Fiesta. I live in Florida (but grew up in North Jersey) and I was planning a 50th Anniversary Party for my parents. They had been married at this venue in 1966, so naturally I looked at them first. Once I talked to Denise and staff, I was sold and told the other potential venues "thanks but no thanks". They made it very easy in the 18 months leading up to the event. On the night of the party, Joe was our maitre d', he was welcoming and very helpful. From the bartender to the wait staff, everyone at the Fiesta made this event a huge success. The food was also excellent from the chicken to the salmon to the filet mignon, not to mention the appetizers and desserts. We recently had a sweet 15 party at fiesta, and were a bit disappointed with the service provided and the way situations were handled by fiesta. The reason we chose fiesta was because the birthday girl had always wanted her party here, but throughout the night we wondered if we had made the correct decision. First of all, the night before we went in to give the final count and payments, and met with Denise who agreed that we could put in a $300 limit for alcohol. We made the payment, and did not notice that the tab payment had not been included- only the payment for the last minute added guests. The night of the party, while everyone was partying we were summoned down to make a payment for the tab, we felt this was a bit unnecessary and could've waited until the party ended. Our maitre'd Hector, was wonderful and very accommodating unfortunately he could not be at all places at once, but he worked well to make sure the party ran as smoothly as possible. The party was scheduled to being at 7:00 pm, but guests arrived a bit before 7. unfortunately they were not allowed into the room nor were they offered hor devours until exactly 7:00 pm. These were a bunch of kids who were hungry, and could've been allowed a few pigs in a blanket. Once the guests were inside, they began setting up for the toast, we had asked for something to be included in the champagne glasses and they unfortunately forgot so we had to begin adding them ourselves until the wait staff realized it and began walking around serving it. This caused a delay in the toast, and the dj had to put on filler music while the serving staff finished. Not a big deal, but a bit disorganized. My husband complained a few times that the bar was watering down the drinks, even though he was paying $8 for each ginger ale and johnny walker drink. The bartender did not seem to think that there was an issue with filling more than half of the glass with ice, before filling it with ginger ale and a small amount of whiskey. I did hear from another guest that he was very vigilant of the underage teens trying to get a drink from him, luckily they were unsuccessful. My BIGGEST complaint was with a waitress named ISABEL, I am not one to complain to superiors but I could not leave that night without making sure that she was told how RUDELY she spoke to a customer. While taking her orders, I asked her TWICE for a high chair, both times she brushed me off and said she could not hear me over the music. I had to go look for Hector to bring me a high chair for my 1 year old. Then, as she was taking orders I gave her my order and began to give her my husband's, as he was out of his seat. I explained that he would be sitting to my left, as my sister was already sitting to my right. Well she had written down my sister as sitting to my left and refused to take my husband's order. I explained that we were all family and the seating order didn't matter as one of us would switch seats to accommodate the other. She then turns around and tells me with the NASTIEST attitude in SPANISH that I needed to "calm" myself and not give HER an attitude! I looked at her, and as an adult, refused to feed into her attitude so I turned my back. She then stormed off into the kitchen. I waited for Hector to come back and explained that as 1 of the people paying for this party, I refused to accept her attitude at my table.If she was willing to treat me like that, I can't imagine how she would treat my guests. He immediately removed her from our services and replaced her with a young lady named Nora. Nora was very sweet and attentive, even bringing me milk for my daughter. I could not believe the attitude Isabel demonstrated and I am extremely disappointed that someone like that represents FIESTA. I understand we all have bad days, but as someone who works with the public she needs to learn how to deal with clients and their requests, and control her attitude or get a new job. The valet was very accommodating, even providing a wheelchair for one of the boys who came in crutches. They not only brought the wheel chair but also took him up to the room. These are the types of people needed to represent a company. Although Fiesta has been around for many years and have recently made updates to their venue I do not think I will be celebrating another event at this venue. Although the food was delicious and very varied, the lack of organization and rude staff stand out more. read more

Its been a long-standing go-to party place in north jersey that over the years has declined in their food & outdated decor. I'm so happy to say the Fiesta is on an upswing! Just had my wedding there on 7/27/2013. I must say, the service was awesome! I did not have to worry about anything. I was a little concerned about missing minor details, but ending up enriched with the gathering of staff and their inviting demeanor. All went well and everything was really on point. Was a guest at a wedding held there last month and WOW! We were part of the bridal party so we had a special room usptairs with drinks and food brought to us during cocktail hour. The food and bar service during cocktail hour was amazing and there was plenty of room for over 200 guests. Then the main ballroom doors open and it was uplighted in a beautiful purple with these huge chandeliers. It was stunning! So much space, great food, well poured cocktails. My fillet Mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was delicious, and the maitre di and his partner treated us as guests. Service and hospitality was outstanding, but this place does look and feel like it is from the early 70's. Logo, black ceilings, and a few other signs this place has a few years on it. Wish I could give zero stars because my experience was horrific. I am vegan and have gone to events there in the past and the vegan food had been so-so. However, my dinner this past weekend was a nightmare. I had to request each course otherwise my plate was left empty. When everyone got a salad, after I asked, I was offered a Cesear salad, which I declined. I was finally given a salad with just balsamic vinegar on the side. No oil. I didn't want to make a fuss since I figured the pasta would be coming soon. Again, I didn't receive anything until after requesting, I was given a pasta that I believed was oil and garlic. I started eating it and immediately realized that it was cheese not garlic. When the waitress checked with the kitchen, it was indeed cheese. Finally, I got pasta with tomato sauce. When my dinner arrived, I foolishly believed that it was safe. It was a vegetable platter with a stuffed potato. I believed since it was prepared for me that it would be safe to eat. When I asked for herbal tea, I was first told to go to the bar! Finally I was able to get hot water with lemon. No offer of dessert at all. The attitude of the maitre d' was extremely rude. Needless to say, I paid for the meal twice. The first time was in cash and the second time was when I was sick later that night after eating foods that were definitely not vegan. The Fiesta was notified repeatedly in advance that I would need a vegan menu. So there was no excuse for them not being able to accommodate my dietary needs. The Fiesta saved money by not having to serve me meat or fish. The least they could have done was provided a decent vegan meal that was safe to eat. They've always served a large portion of Salmon, whenever I go here, I always ask for it. Since there's usually a few events a year for the Lodge and friends, I end up going here at least 2-3 times a year. They've got valet parking which is a good thing when you're wearing a suit and have a date. I attended a Tricky Tray event last night and it was my very 1st time at the Fiesta. The food was ok, salad was bland and gross especially with soggy lettuce. The other 3 courses were good but I felt the proportion could have been a little more. My niece's Sweet Sixteen was here Saturday evening. The food was displayed and served nicely( although they could have portioned out more per guest) The salad table was nicely done and the salads tasted fresh and delicious. The food choices were more geared toward my niece and her friends/classmates. The soda on the table was flat. Coffee service was unorganized but, I eventually got my coffee. My only issues are The tray of cocktail hour food was just put on a stack of chairs( why no table?) also, why was there not beverages taken up to then? OH I didn't catch that there were baby blue ribbons still hanging on the railing where my niece and her court came down the stairs from a previous party until I saw my pictures. Overall, it was a nice affair and I would recommend Fiesta to friends for small events like a birthday or something. read more
