Amazing grandma slices! No lie, some of the best pizza I've had in a while in New Jersey! Just the right touch of garlic and the tomato sauce is delicious. The crust is the perfect thickness as well and has a nice chew and crisp at the same time. I haven't tried any of the regular cheese pizza slices but their square slices are so good that I don't want to stop getting them or order anything else lol. I was craving pizza and used yelp to find a spot. The other reviews sold me on trying this. They were NOT wrong! I walked in to order to go, ordered a chicken piccata and couple slices of pizza! Said I was waiting in my car w my dog, the person who took my order, made her a pepperoni and cheese pup cup! That melted my heart! Then! I get home and the food is unbelievably delicious! How did I just find this incredibly delicious pizzeria!! First off, once you walk in, you are greeted with amazing staff and vibes of a true authentic pizzeria. There were photos of famous stars that have visited and signed autographs everywhere. We ordered the Penne vodka and Margaritas slice. I love that they were squared and omg, the pizza was one of the best that I have had! You can immediately tell that the sauces and other ingredients were fresh and homemade. Hands down, after nearly 50 years on this earth, ALL of them eating Italian food from every region, from fancy pants to $1slices and nonna's homemade... all across the US...this was the most disgusting, rancid, awful, inedible marinara sauce I've ever tasted. There's cinnamon in it. Or maple syrup? Definitely a ton of sugar, probably to mask the out of date tomato. No garlic, no oregano or basil...but loads of salt and sugar. I found this gem through Yelp as all foodies should ;) Yelpers never steer each other wrong! I had ordered an XL Cheese Pizza via GrubHub and it was delish! I was running late with my folks so though the pizza was kept warm above the oven it wasn't at its optimal temperature. No problem. Proactively, the friendly and kind owner, John, came over to our table and took our box back before we got into it. He warmed up the pizza for us and set it on a riser and we enjoyed! The crust was super thin which was great. For me, it's more about the sauce and cheese. Getting back to the crust, since it's so light, for those who are carb conscious, you can feel less guilty. Score! You can avoid the heavy bread weighing-you-down feeling. Now, let's talk 'bout da sawce! Hehehe. Soooo good -- punchy, flavorful, sweet, tomato-y! John says the tomatoes are crushed and the sauce is prepared in-house. You can tell. The cheese is just right too. Not excessive nor scant. I noticed the pizza wasn't oily. My 1900th review goes to Corleone's Pizzeria! I just moved to the area and one of my first priorities was finding my new pizza spot. I tried one other one and it wasn't it. But then I found Corleone's and am so happy to have this nearby. I've only been living in town for less than 3 months and have probably gotten pick up from here at least 5 times already. All of the specialty slices look good so I still need to try those, and surprisingly, I've had a lot of self restraint so far by not ordering a pre-snack slice each time I go in for pick up. So far I've only had the Italian sammie and the whole pies. They do not disappoint and are very reasonably priced, plus the staff is super nice. Tip - on Mon through Wed, they have a pick-up special - $8 for a large cheese pie. You really can't beat that! read more

There is a reason that this place has been in business for 40 years, and this becomes apparent the second you walk through their door. When the smell of their pizza cooking hits you, you immediately understand. The staff here are simply awesome. The owner is kind, friendly, and strikes up conversation. This is missing nowadays from most places you visit. They make you feel welcome and at-home. We watched as the owner hauled in all kinds of fresh ingredients: meat, peppers, cheeses, etc. This was a great thing to see. The prices are amazing given the quality of their pizza. There are countless amazing pizzas offered. The sauce is simply amazing. It isn't acidic, has an incredible tomato flavor, and is well-seasoned. It just tastes super fresh. The cheese blend is flavorful, has great stretch, and screams that quality cheese is used. Finally, the crust/dough are perfectly done, has an amazing taste, and is near perfection. Needless to say, everything about this pizza says it is well-done and made with high quality ingredients. Trust me, you'll taste the difference. New to the Lodi area and was looking for a good pizza spot to cap a long day. Decided to try Corleones given its good reviews but was left feeling underwhelmed. We ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza with mozz sticks to seal the deal. Although the order came out relatively quick (about 10 min) I feel as though the quality left much to be desired. The pizza was a bit undercooked floppy with no crisp. It was greasier than I expected and overall felt like it was thrown together haphazardly. The mozz sticks were barely warm and cheese wasn't even melted, sauce for pizza and sticks was good though. Well-priced. Giving it 3 stars because it didn't taste bad and service was quick, but no where near a 4.5 star pizza imo. I will admit, we ordered an hour before closing but I think thats plenty of time to put together a good pizza. Would go back at an earlier time and maybe order a different pie! read more

Based on the great reviews, I recently ate lunch at Corleones, and it was fantastic. I had a greek salad a broccoli and sausage stromboli, and some garlic knots. Everything was excellent, and the portions were generous. I asked the waitress, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, to not overcook the broccoli. It came out perfect, cooked, but still a little bit of crunch to it. Upon leaving, we ended up chatting with a guy sitting at a table outside, and it turns out he was the owner. He was extremely friendly and very pleased when we told him how much we enjoyed the food. Next time I'm in White Plains, I will absolutely be returning. If you like small Mom and Pop Italian eateries, I highly recommend this one. read more

Old school is an understatement. I absolutely loved this place. It's small time Pizzeria from back in the day. Few tables inside with the red and white checkered table cloth. Relaxing. Casual atmosphere. Staff is unbelievably helpful and completely on their game. I had a game in Hasbrouck Heights, so went to my handy dandy Yelp app to see what's what in the area and came across Corleone's. They have a little parking area in the back and some off street parking as well. There was four of us, so we started with the Buffalo mozzarella sticks and the boys got the wings. The Buffalo Mozzarella sticks were probably one of the best I've had. Outside was nice and crispy and inside was perfectly gooey. Coated with a mild Buffalo sauce. OMG, it was out of this world. I snuck a wing from the boys because they just looked way too good not to and the were on point. Nice and crispy on the outside and juicy inside. They put the sauce on the side which I liked. This way the boys were able to put on a much as they liked. For dinner, my wife and I shared a chicken parm dinner with Vodka sauce and a side of Ziti. My youngest got the Buffalo Chicken wrap with fries. My middle son wanted Buffalo Chicken pizza, so we got a medium Buffalo Chicken pie and a Drunken Grandma pie. Chicken parm was done very well. It's tender on the inside and just a crunch coating. Do they flash fry it in the deep dryer? I'm not sure. Never ask what the secrets are but it was very good. Plenty of mozzarella cheese on top. The Vodka sauce was addicting. More than enough for a dinner. Consider that my wife and I shared it and we still brought some home. My youngest said the Buffalo Chicken wrap was good. It looked good but I didn't try it. So we're going on good on a 9 year old scale. Buffalo Chicken pie I was able to sneak a slice regardless of being overly stuffed. It was very good. I've had variations now with our without tomato sauce. This has no tomato sauce. Nice pieces of chicken, mozzarella, ranch and hot sauce makes up this pie. The show stopper is the Drunken Grandma Pie. Thin crust, Vodka sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil. I LOVE fresh basil!!! Crust was so nice and crispy. No flop. This just absolutely stops traffic. This is a must all day long. You'll get great food, impeccable service and great conversation. My wife is from Long Island, and an Italian. We live near Charlotte (need I say more about our LACK of proper Italian restaurants???). Just talking about visiting the area makes our mouths water. I don't know what it is, but in spite of her New York pride, our BEST food experiences have been on the Jersey side. We came up for business, had pizza from Corleone's the first night then had them deliver food for our lunch meeting the next day. I over ordered so I'd have food to bring home. The different pizzas, the Vodka sauce, the chicken parm sandwiches, penne with capers, lemon, and chicken were ALL OUTSTANDING. I've been home a week. Stretched the leftovers as long as I could. We ordered delivery and it took a bit but we expected that since they were busy. The ordering process was also a little tough over the phone. Since they were busy they were flustered quite a bit. The food was very underwhelming. We ordered two sandwiches, one Philly cheesesteak and one drunken chicken parm. The cheesesteak was great, we even got extra meat and they did a great job with that. The chicken sandwich was not so great. The vodka sauce was delicious but the chicken itself was super chewy. The garlic knots sliders were good too, the actual garlic knots themselves - Which they threw in for free were great. Their tomato sauce is delicious. The disco fries really fell short. Crinkle cut fries with really really bad gravy. It almost tasted rancid. I would definitely not recommend those. I think the key to this place is sticking with the pizza. Their sauces are great. So far I have tried the Philly cheesesteak, Margherita, drunk grandma as well as penne vodka shrimp pasta and calamari. Im a sucker for vodka sauce so I really liked the drunk grandma pie but they were all really good. It was difficult to stop eating this pizza or penne vodka.
