Ashlee S. works miracles- her coloring is always gorgeous and looks great between sessions. She loves listening to my hair ideas and gives great suggestions. She is a pro at blending old coloring with new and truly transforms my hair. Ashlee does a great hair cut too! She is open to long or short cuts of all styles (I have tried them all!) I love that she will give me her professional opinion on what style would work best with my hair type and skin color. Each appointment with Ashlee is just like a day at the spa- from the personal consultation and neck massage, to the highest quality coloring/cut and AMAZING hair wash/scalp massage... each minute of that appointment is heavenly and I am always a little bummed when it's over. I am always excited to go to my next appointment because I can walk into the salon and know I'll walk out with a new pep in my step. She brings life back into my hair whenever I sit in her chair! Okay so let me start off by saying that prior to coming here a year ago, I hadn't gotten my hair cut in OVER 6 years. I know I know, that sounds absolutely insane, but I have very naturally curly hair and had been traumatized ever since "just a trim" turned into 6 inches.... ASK FOR SARA O'CONNOR!!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars because she is absolutely amazing. I used to associate getting my hair cut with fear/anxiety but now I count down the days until I get to go back. From cut to color to the keratin treatment this girl does it all! I absolutely have loved everything she has done to my hair. I've been going to Fifth & Mae since 2017! Christina and her team are incredible. I would not trust anyone more with my hair. She won't let you rush into any decisions and listens carefully to what you ask for! Several of my friends made the switch to Fifth and Mae and will literally show pictures of my hair, specifically the color, to the stylists - that's how AMAZING the team is at Fifth and Mae. I was eager to get back to the salon during COVID-19 and was really comfortable with going back once they opened. The salon is always extremely clean but I was impressed with the extra safety measures they took. Masks are non-negotiable. Temperatures are always checked. I even processed highlights in my car my first appointment back -that's how serious they were about my health and everyone else's. I never write reviews, but I had had such an amazing experience at Fifth & Mae that I couldn't not sing their praises! I had a cocktail party to attend for work and I wanted to add some volume to my hair for the event. Scheduling with Sara at F&M was so easy and she was so friendly. When I got there, the salon was so trendy and clean. One of my favorites I've been to in the ATL area. Sara shampooed and conditioned my hair (best part, tbh. so relaxing!) and then gave me the most thorough and incredible blow out of my life. I also love the Aveda product used at F&M! Adds texture without any of the gross product feeling and made my hair feel the best it has in a while. Sara curled my hair and helped style it to best compliment the jumpsuit I was wearing. Ashlee is AMAZING! After moving to Atlanta, I struggled to find a great Aveda stylist/colorist. That ended when I met Ashlee. I fell in love with her and her talent at our first appointment. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about Aveda products but she listened to me, provided suggestions and then delivered perfect results. The shoulder, head and hand massage also made me feel truly pampered. I have now been going to her for several years. Every appointment is like hanging out with an old friend and I trust her 100%. I give her the freedom to be creative and have never been disappointed! My 2 young daughters also get their hair cut by Ashlee. She is so sweet with them and always makes them feel special. This was my first time here at this salon -- because I followed Ashlee as she transitioned from another salon to here! Yes - she's THAT good a stylist and human being :) She's very easy to talk to, is always in a great mood and has quickly learned what I like and don't like style and hair color-wise... and she *remembers* it! She takes the time to really listen to what you want and doesn't rush you at all. She follows up with you after your appointment to make sure you still love your new hair -- or if you'd like to come in and tweak something. Highly recommend Ashlee S! I have been a client for about a year now, and each appointment has resulted in perfectly blended balayage & cuts that leave my ends looking healthy without ever trimming off too much length. Aside from her skill, she is also super personable. She listens to what i'm looking for and walks me through how she plans to achieve that result. This week, Ashlee fit me in for a cut & color on short notice, and when I wrote down the wrong date and missed my apt, she STILL made time for me the very next day (and on a Friday evening). Fifth & Mae is also such a cute space, and the staff was very friendly. Due to covid, they took my temp upon arrival, all wore masks, and made me feel safe & at ease. Erin is simply the best! I am so thankful I found her! Erin takes extreme pride in everything she does & has high expectations for her team. It has been so much fun watching her outgrow her space in Roswell & build a brand new space adjacent to where she took a leap of faith a and starters her first business a few years ago. It is gorgeous! She also has a location in Buford. The sky is the limit for this business woman who values her relationships with her staff & clientele above everything else. 1- Ashlee is THE BEST! It's like catching up with an old friend every time I'm with her. She always talks through what you're looking for in a style, offers professional suggestions, and checks in throughout the appointment. She is top-notch and I love referring her to anyone that will listen to me rave about her and her work! 2- this studio is SO CUTE! The studio itself feels like a living room with a big table you sit at while processing where you can work/read/talk to the people around you (it encourages community) and a beverage station. I've been to some of the very best color experts in Manhattan and Atlanta. Major disappointments in the ones in Atlanta and quite frankly just had low to "ok" expectations of the coloring expertise at Fifth & Mae. WOW much do I LOVE being over-impressed on expectation and results. I cannot cannot say enough about how gorgeous my multi level coloring, light reflective hair looks. I actually drove to a friends place of business on my way home to say "can you believe this??" Erin and her staff are fabulous and treat you like you are the best client they have. Ask for Sara O'Connor!!! She is hands down the most wonderful hairstylist I've ever come across. I've been going to Sara for years now and even used to travel from South Carolina just to get my hair done. Why? Because it's an experience. No, it's a GREAT experience. I had Christina arranging my hair and makeup for my wedding in December. I was extremely pleased and surprised to find her after months of trials and a bunch of people experimenting on my hair and face. I was becoming really stressed not finding anyone to understand my requirements but once I found her she worked on my hair and makeup until I was sure that I found the right look. Very patient, fun, understanding and extremely helpful, she is one of those people that you want to go back to no matter how far she is. I went in to this hair appointment not super hopeful because I had a pretty bad and over priced experience back in November at another salon. My hair was so bad off that I was not sure if it had much hope, but wow was I wrong! Kali Carrington was able to not only fix the mistakes from my previous disaster, but she turned my hair in a complete 180! I could not have been happier with what I left with! Christina is AMAZING! She always does an incredible job on my balayage and the color looks fresh for so long. The salon is so cute and all the girls that work there are super friendly. Once I started going to see her, I refuse to go anywhere else. I dont even tell her what I want anymore, I just let her do what she wants because I know it will turn out amazing. My hair never feels dry or damaged after lightening it because they do a deep condition with the color. The whole process is quick and efficient but I still feel like I'm getting amazing treatment. Christina Robbins at Fifth & Mae is WONDERFUL. The whole staff is so sweet and will help in any way they can. Fifth & Mae fixed an extreme color correction where my hair had been over processed by another salon & neglected at the same time. It was a complete mess. I love over an hour away and I made the drive just so I can leave a salon and be HAPPY. Healthy hair people! I would recommend this salon to anyone. Especially for color corrections.
