I've been going to Figarelly's deli for almost 2 years, and every time I go, the food is amazing and I never have complaints. But, today, I didn't have a good experience! I ordered my usual, the hangover which comes in a roll. It had pieces of the shells from the egg and after about 5-6 bites. I felt I needed to leave a review so the staff is aware! I also wanted a chipotle mayo, but ended up getting another sauce that tasted more like salad dressing. Other than that, this deli has always been my go to, and the prices are worth it based on what they offer. read more

It, goes to show any local business, that good service matters. My friend wanted me to try a local spot he frequents a lot. He told me they renovated the place and it looks great. He has been nailing great eateries, so I know it's okay to trust him. I told him, you can tell a-lot about a business by how they make breakfast. He told me "Figarelly's Deli" is five star. We went in the morning and there is no parking lot. It's street parking, but I found a spot right in front. Looking at the exterior, you can tell it was improved on. The marquee sign looked great. Inside was more of the same. The place was clean and organized. There were a few employees working, but the gentleman at the counter (I wish I got his name), was the real draw. This guy was pleasant and funny. He joked with us the entire time. He kept us interested while our food cooked. He even joked there was fee if we dined in. This guy made us completely feel like we were wanted. When the food came out, I noticed right away I was in for a treat. My tray felt heavy, like real heavy. Upon inspection, I was right, they give a generous portions. But that means nothing if it doesn't taste good, right? Well let me be the first to say, there is no concern about breakfast here! I'm sure lunch and diner items are more of the same. This place was definitely worth every star and more in the future. I will definitely be coming again. I grew up in East Meadow, and Figs is a true East Meadow establishment - one of those places that you associate hand in hand with the community. The Big Guy is the illest egg sandwich, hands down (3 eggs with ham, bacon, and cheese on a hero). It's amazing every time i order it, with salt, pepper, and ketchup. What separates Figs' egg sandwiches from other places is the cohesiveness of the sandwich. The sandwich is always warm and each element blends in with the next. In my experience, this is true whether you order a Big Guy or two eggs on a roll. The only problem is that their prices seemed to have almost doubled over the years since about 2004 when I graduated high school. I got a Big Guy this past Saturday and it was $6. Not bad really, but used to be much cheaper. Still worth it though. Also, it seems like the sandwich is a little smaller than what it used to be. With this said, I think it's still solidly in 4-star territory. read more

I've been going to this place for years. A friend of mine put me onto it and I'm glad he did. I've only gotten breakfast sandwiches from here but oh boy are they good. You wouldn't think a simple bacon and egg could be so different from place to place. I'm not sure what they do here that makes them so special (the bacon isn't overly fatty, cooked just right; eggs are perfect; fresh rolls; coffee is good) but they are a step above the rest. The place is a typical deli layout, not dingy but not updated but I like it. Their prices are very reasonable. I got 5 sandwiches, juice, coffee and it was $20. Friends and coworkers have gotten other foods, lunch sandwiches etc and have told me they're good all around but so far I've only stopped for breakfast. I can't believe I have never written a review for Fig's Deli since it has been a staple for many years as someone who grew up in East Meadow. I get breakfast wraps here often enough and the iced tea is so delicious. The cold cut sandwiches are always on point and the deli is clean. I haven't been in for a while but I notice that they slightly remodeled the deli and it looks good. I stopped in for a hot plate of food and got a small container of chicken Marsala and fettuccini Alfredo for $5 and it was quite good. For the price and convenience, it really can't be beat. The star of this gem of a deli though is the homemade chocolate chip muffins. No words can describe just how great they actually are. read more

Tried to order for delivery but they were short staffed and asked us to pick up. 5 breakfast sandwiches ordered and three of them incorrect or missing parts. Not that hard to put hot sauce when ordered on a sandwich.... One sandwich was untoasted, missing a hasbrown ordered, missing hot sauce, and turkey bacon basically almost uncooked. This is your job guys.... Easy stuff... Breakfast... Lucky we don't live in the area and order from you guys regularly. read more

I recently returned home after spending four months abroad in Europe, and the morning after my flight landed I went to Figarelly's Deli to grab a Big Guy. The breakfast here transcends international borders, and after craving a proper egg sandwich for months it was the only known cure. It's on an entirely different plane of existence when compared to mere mortal breakfast sandwiches. The eggs are consistently have the same, well, consistency. The bacon is grilled in the most fantastic of ways, crispy and greasy in all the right ways. The ham cradles the eggs like a reassuring blanket, adding that extra bit of pork-oomph to my morning without over-salting the rest of the sandwich. The cheese is 100% American Deli Perfection. What towers above all, though, is the bread. I commonly express the love I have for this hero bread by telling friends that it is in fact the loaves that Christ multiplied. Ecstasy aside, this is yet another hometown fixture that has spoiled my understanding of food. It's a local powerhouse, with great involvement in the community with a friendly staff. Fine and fast, but the place is in DESPERATE need of a cleaning and an overhaul. It is dingy, and if you look fast, it looks like the place is closed. Signs in the window are drooping and off -kilter. Walk in, and although the staff is friendly and knows its regulars, it's a little hard to get past the missing veneer on the counter fronts, the dirty floor and the sort of dull lighting. read more

Been going to Fig"s for years and was sorry when it closed. The new iteration must be someone who bought the name. Figs was known for its egg sandwiches, piled high with bacon. On April 21,2021 I ordered two egg sandwiches, eggs over easy with bacon and cheese and scrambled eggs with bacon. Got eggs over easy with bacon, and scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese. Couldn't get a simple order messed up worse than that. But, more importantly, there were two small slices of undercooked bacon on each sandwich. I had to heat the bacon in the microwave. So bad. Inattentive service, lousy bacon portion, high prices, which used to be Fig's strong points. I usually would give a place a second chance, but not this time. When you open up a new business, you should give the customer better than average service and portions. read more

Ok just left this deli. Worse costumer service from the lady who works there in the mourning. I told her I will try the coffee and she dumped extra cream and sugar. I went back in and they were talking about me and my worker. All we ever did was order food because it was good and returned the next day. The owner and her was talking about us saying that we was annoying. I herd her tell the guy to be quit and I said to her who is annoying ?? She say she was not talking about us. We only been there three times. I can't believe she was talking about us. I did question her.but don't think I will return to this place for service. This deli is amazing! I go out of my way to get my breakfast here. The breakfast sandwiches are loaded with meat and the cheese is nice and melted. Place use to be really good, went in there today after a long time. Was really excited and when ordering I knew it was all down hill. The guy took my order and cooked it in the microwave... I have been coming here for 20 years and the place has now gone completely downhill. I had a simple roast beef on rye. The bread was so stale it was inedible. The roast beef was a mass of grey, tasteless over cooked fatty meat. The former owners would have never served such garbage. They should be embarrassed to serve such garbage.
