This is my second time coming here and the sandwiches are great. I ordered a Reuben on Rye the first time and had coleslaw and a pickle with it, very tasty. Then I ordered a Turkey and Cheese the second because they said the kitchen was closed at 2pm. Fine by me but both times I noticed the staff isn't friendly and a bit impatient which sucks because this was a convenient spot to grab lunch on my break. read more

LOVE that this deli is so close to home. I stopped here for the first time the day I viewed the house I now live in, and remember thinking "it would be great if we can eat from this deli a lot." Their paninis are great and LARGE. They're essentially pressed heroes. I love the buffalo chicken panini. It uses buffalo chicken cold cuts, so it's not fried. They also have a decent drink selection and snacks, too. Their pasta salads are solid, and they're always kind. Good with custom sandwich orders. My main negative would be their hours. I'm sure that given their proximity to the train station that their clientele tends to be commuters. Because of this they are open early mornings until just the mid-afternoon on weekdays, early morning until just after noon on Saturdays, and are fully closed on Sundays. read more

Really wanted to like this place.... Grubhub order for pickup: Ordered an egg white turkey on wheat toast. Asked for addition of provolone, salt, pepper, hot sauce toasted. Sandwich was on time, bread was toasted, hot sauce was added. That's where the positive portion of this review ends. Immediately noticed there was no salt and pepper. Once I got to the second half of the sandwich, I found an egg yolk (not the end of the world, but how do you miss that??). And last but not least, eggshells! Really disappointed. read more

Excellent sandwiches. Got the chicken in a pocket. Bacon was crispy and veggies were fresh.

Nicest employees! No skimpy sandwiches and they are pretty good with remembering to remove/add ingredients if requested. Not overpriced like other local delis. Their panini's are huge because they are on a hero that is then pressed. My food is always ready when I get there if I order ahead first. They also deliver! read more

VERY CLEAN- Class "A" Rating from Nassau County Dept. of Health ! Nice large Menu ! Some new items that you've never tried before keeps it exciting to eat here, you read the menu while waiting for your sandwich and think "I'm gonna try that next time I'm here". The daily hot plates are not standard, so there's always a special surprise for lunch ! The staff is very nice, polite, attentive, and will bend over backwards for you ! You can taste the freshness in every meal here. Very Fresh bread and rolls makes the difference on a sandwich. "ONE" stop here for chow and you'll be back for sure ! The coffee is delicious (they keep the coffee machine scrupulously clean), and you wouldn't think that's important until you finish your cup and think "Man, what a great cup of coffee ! This place is awful. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with complimentary fries and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich just to meet the delivery minimum. My order came an hour later, no fries and cold ass cheese. I wouldn't mind if the sandwiches were cold, maybe the guy had to make a lot of deliveries. However the cheese wasn't melted in the first place. So I called and the dude is like, it doesn't come with fries. And I'm all like "first of all, sir" and literally ranted about this cold ass cheese sandwich and bacon egg and cheese. And he still has the nerve to be like "it doesn't come with fries" boy bye. The customer service has really deterred my office and I from ordering from this establishment. There is a woman who runs the deli who is nasty and regardless of when I go in there, she's rude. Mostly when it comes to catering orders which they've raised the rates on. It's a shame bc the food so good, but the lack of customer service outweighs that. read more

3.89 - They make a mean sandwich This is what you expect from a decent long island deli. There's always a good selection of meats and salads, and they often have the best price around on a pound of boars head ovengold. It's not huge or awesome by any means. This deli is pretty nondescript but the cold cuts are Boar's Head (in my opinion, the primary determinant of deli quality) and they usually pile them on, so for under $7.00 you can get a pretty good hero. This is usually my "last resort" when I can't think of anything else to eat, or it's raining and I don't want to walk too far, and it never fails me. read more

Speaking for breakfast only, this place is absolutely disgusting. First off, even when you tell the cook to make the eggs well done, it still super runny and you see the yolk dripping off your sandwich. My boss went in today to get eggs and he was so grossed out when he got into the office. I had to calm him down because he wanted to go back there and demand his money back. Also, they do not use American cheese when you order a bacon egg and cheese, they use velvetta. I hate this place and I will NEVER go back, I know other spots around the block that make great sandwiches for lunch even if the previous reviews thought there cold cuts were good which I cannot imagine. Anyways, I rather go to the Spanish own bodega or the Arab own deli up the block than this poor excuse of a deli for my breakfast. JUST GROSS! read more

This Deli just opened to replace the former Deli that went out of business in same spot. I fear the same for this place. Food is ok just ok service is not friendly or fast and prices change every time I go in. I ordered a tuna sandwich on toast no lettuce no tomato add pickle the tell me 30 cents extra for pickle. I go in today ask for chicken salad on a roll no lettuce or tomato and it is now 75 cents for a slice of pickle. Rockville Centre has so many great places to eat with really great food, I am willing to pay extra for good service friendly atmosphere but dont nickle and dime local business that order out almost every day. read more

Not sure what Christina's been eating, but the Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich (which I eat several times a month) is NOT made with Velveeta...it is made with Boar's head American Cheese. I've been going to this deli for over 20 years. All their Meats and Cheeses are Boar's Head. read more
