My first time ever coming to this farmers market and it unexpectedly was so fun! We came searching for boba in the area and despite the traffic, the crazy parking lot space and pricing, it was worth the adventure. I got the seasonal mango boba drink and my sibling got the yuzu milk tea. Both were great and refreshing with cute tops! Don't forget to validate parking!

We were really craving fruit tea but are always skeptical of boba/tea shops away from the main hub of 626 valley and decided to try this spot out despite little reviews. Ordered the passionfruit tea with lychee jelly at half sugar. We were told that regular sugar here starts at half sugar but it was still kinda sweet for me so definitely go for 25% if that is what you usually get. The drink was actually pretty good, nothing too crazy but it tasted fresh and healthy. Service was friendly and I would come by again if I was in the area.

Located inside the farmer's market is this super cute boba tea shop that's definitely worth a stop. We ordered the classic milk tea with boba and the strawberry cream with boba, and both were fantastic. The boba was amazing--perfectly cooked with just the right amount of chewiness and sweetness. The strawberry in the strawberry cream drink tasted fresh and natural, not artificial at all, which was a huge plus. The classic milk tea really hit the spot and was smooth and well balanced. Even though they were really busy, our drinks came out quickly and the service was very friendly. If you're visiting the farmer's market, make sure to stop by and grab a drink--you won't regret it!

Super friendly service, drinks are made pretty quickly-- even when it's busy! The black matcha was perfection. Boba had the perfect chew. Will definitely be back!

Inside the Farmer's Market, I tried their matcha latte and it was solid! I do recommend it. Service was nice and quick. Ambiance is nice since it's right in the market. There are plenty of seats all around and in the 2nd floor seating area as well.

Figure 8 was a great treat! I have been to The Grove farmers market countless times and never noticed a boba spot here. Nonetheless, I was SO excited that there was a tea vendor. I loved the menu options! We tried and ordered the iced passion fruit green tea and the summer mango oolong tea. The service was fast, the barista was open to answering all of our questions prior to ordering and was also accommodating enough to adjust the sweetness of one of the teas after tasting. I also loved that they had an actual punch card - not many businesses do this anymore as most rewards systems are online so it felt kind of nostalgic to be offered one.

The Farmer's Market at The Grove was BUSY!! We almost missed Figure 8 Tea Project while walking through the crowd. They have a small, but flavorful menu. Drinks are customized, so it seems that people ordering ahead of you are taking a while, but in reality, the staff member is asking at least two questions for every drink order. They take their time to make sure each one is just as you want it. Then when our order came out, a staff member went over each drink and told us that they are happy to make adjustments if we need it. Wonderful service! The boba was fresh and the flavors were perfect. The quality of the ingredients is apparent. We'll be back!

They're located in the farmers market area of The Grove so you definitely have to look for them but the drink was really good. I had the sparkling lemonade I think it was called and added mango jellies to it. Would definitely go back for it. I feel like it was a little pricey but the drink size was fairly large. I appreciated the server letting me know I could add different things to my drink and showed me the options as well. Since it's in the market it's not really its own space but there's plenty of seating in that area for all the restaurants and the drink packaging was cute.

Very cute and yummy boba counter at the grove in the food court area. It can be hard to find but it's near a staircase to upstairs seating. It was super crowded but the line and order moved quickly. Servers were friendly and they seemed well staffed. Boba was great texture and flavor. I think my Thai tea could have been a stronger flavor but it was still good. The faces on the boba lids was super cute too. The main downside is they use bamboo straws which are super delicate and crack easily. They said to be careful when handing over the straws, but didn't explain why the extra caution was needed. Good place to get your boba fix at the grove.

Located in the Original Farmers Market. There wasn't much of a crowd on the weekdays so great for walking around. Ordered the Banana Foster Latte w/ almond molk which was very flavorful and tasted like the famed New Orleans dessert. The banana puree was subtle and not overly sweet, and complimented the brown sugar. I liked that it didn't have an overwhelming cinnamon smell or taste. Would definitely come back and try another drink!

I really wanted to give this place a lower score, but I suppose that they hit the marks for what is deemed as a suitable boba drink. As I have been able to try different drinks at different places all across Southern California, I think that the tea falls flat and has a loss of quality since its operating in a food market/ the grove area. The boba was definitely a 2/5 or lower because it was a bit old but the overall drink I had was the brown sugar milk tea, which was an okay experience.

Finally some authentic boba at the farmers market! The tea was well crafted and wasn't full of sugar like most places. 10/10!

Ask the Community - Figure 8 Tea Project

Do the milk teas use non dairy creamer? Asking because I'm allergic to milk and milk alternatives (oat, soy, almond, cashew, macadamia, lentil)?

We use organic fresh milk, organic oat milk, and organic almond milk. Thank you for asking :)

It's a petit venue with comfy couch seating, chairs and cute table that you can connect. We did that since there were about 7 of us. You order from the two kiosks or off of your phone so remember that they do not take cash as payment. There's so many fun options on the menus from scrumptious desserts, hot and cold beverages like teas and coffees. I had to have an iced boba beverage. So yummy. Our server who may also be the owner was very nice. Quick service, like we received text messages that your order has been placed and it was brought to our table within minutes. Incredible and he was very cheerful. While conversations were happening I noticed a cool shelf and on the shelf were games! Fun board and card games that continued the our mini party! This place was open until 11pm so it cool to have a coffee shop that stays open late. I took public transportation but there is underground parking at the venue, there are tons of parking meters and parking in the residential area. This place is YUMMY!

Located at…read morethe busy intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax in West Hollywood; you won't be disappointed. It's a small space with a few tables inside with multiple large sliding glass doors that open onto the intersection on one side and a courtyard on the other side. It gives the place a nice urban feel with plenty of foot traffic outside and people watching. You order from one of the two kiosks outside of the kitchen. You select from the menu, make your payment, and assigned a number to notify you when your order is ready. They send messages to you via text. I was with a friend mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There was just a couple of people inside when we arrived. The evenings are usually busier with several people inside and on the outdoor courtyard which has a few tables. We both ordered cheesecake and we loved them. Very fresh, flavorful, and creamy in texture. I had the Oreo Cheesecake and my friend had the Mocha Cheesecake. My friend also had a Fusion Mocha Shake which he said tasted great with the right amount of mocha flavoring for his taste. We spoke to the owner/baker after we ate to compliment his desserts. I asked how business was and he said unfortunately slow. He mentioned how restaurants in general were having a hard time in the current uncertain economy. It has nothing to do with his products. The desserts and treats are great. If you can, give this spot a try. And the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the desserts. There's a promotion for new customers. Whatever amount you spend on your first visit, you earn that amount in credits towards your next purchase. It's all automated through your phone number. Open everyday until midnight. There are complimentary board games to play while dining. Limited parking in the plaza or street parking. It's great to have a quality dessert café in my neighborhood.

Traditional Oolong Milk Tea: Simple, but really enjoyable. I got it at 70% sweetness, and it was perfect. The boba was chewy and delicious. Peach Fruit Tea: This was tasty, and I liked the balance between the peach flavor and the tea. It also came with peach chunks, which were a nice touch. The only downside was that I got it at 70% sweetness, and it was still a little bitter. Overall, I would definitely come back!

Luckily, Yi Fang is one of those spots where parking is rarely an issue. They have their own parking lot, plenty of nearby street parking, and even additional parking near a church close by, which makes visiting much more convenient compared to many other boba shops in LA. The store itself is on the smaller side, with only a few chairs and seating options available. They offer both a self-serve kiosk for quick ordering and a front register if you have questions or prefer ordering with staff assistance. Yi Fang is best known for their fruit teas, which are considered their specialty. Personally, I tend to prefer milk teas, and while the drinks are still good, I found the quality of the grass jelly and boba to feel somewhat inconsistent compared to other boba places I've visited.
