Store had the usual rice, grains, condiments, cooking oils, teas, snacks, house made snacks. Menu of food to go in corner had no prices..not too legible. Buys: curry lamb(10.99) -didn't taste curry per se. Liquid tasted like a chili. Burning localized in mouth. Mix of tender & semi tender lamb pieces bone-in. A piece had bone marrow. Bongo baked cheese puffs (3.99) -made in Fiji. Baked puffs were melt in mouth. Cheese just a sprinkling of cheese powder, neglible taste. Lots of artificial chemicals Fried green peas (2.50) -made in house of peas, vegetable oil, salt, spices, chili. Slight burning sensation. 4.5 stars: small space. Doesn't look organized. read more

I ordered some aloo maater and chicken curry from here. I live an hour away since there's no Fijian Indian food near we live. I picked this food up by 3:30, by the time I get home, around 4:30. I left the food in the containers it came in and left it on the counters. Get done with my shower and whatever I needed to do before dinner. It's around 7, I'm getting ready for dinner, I open the aloo maater container it smelled so bad, I got my mom to smell it she said throw it away it's spoiled. They gave me some old food. The chicken also tasted like it was made days ago. Customers pay for fresh food not days old. Not coming here any more. read more

Unexpected place to get amazing Indo-Fijian style Curry. This is different than Japanese or Indian curry, it is more watery and has big chunks of cut protein with bone that can be in little pieces so its definitely not for everyone. A family member of mine is obsessed with making this kind of curry and they aren't even close to what Fiji Sweets and Snacks makes. Will definitely be bringing them for a visit next time they are in town. We got the Chicken and Lamb curry, we did note a layer of oil on the chicken curry that we spooned off at home. Both curries have different flavors and were super delicious paired with their fluffy rice. On a cold, gray day it's that proper savory dish that just makes you feel good. The Roti was OK, a little chewy. Samosa was also very good, not a huge massive western size one but nicely proportioned with crispy shell and yummy potato filling. The store is an interesting combo sweets stores and Fiji-goods convenience store. We tried their Jucy soda in un-natural bright pineapple yellow and tropical blue and they were good. I forgot what the dessert was that we uploaded but it wasn't Barfi, I would try some specific Fiji sweets next time but my thoughts were they are very close to Indian sweets which use a lot more sugar than we personally like. read more

I like going here to get nakai, fresh kathar from Fiii and sweets and cookies. I wish they made jalebi more because it's light and so crispy. The bhuja with the corn flakes is really delicious and spicy. The lady that owns the place is such a joy and her kids are so sweet especially the boy, he's such a treasure. read more

Review is for takeout food and none of the s desserts or convenience store items. The layout of the shop is different now with the counter on the left instead of in the back. It seems there are even more Fiji snacks and products than before. Online they have a large menu of stuff they can make for catering but you have to call in to see what they have that day. Most times they will always have the chicken and lamb curry. The curry is milder than Indian curry and I like it though sometimes it's perfect and other times it's under seasoned. Definitely the place to get your Fijian curry an Palau!!! All kinds!! Having it with some puri & roti...omg & I'm set!! No need to be embarrassed of stuffing your face, because it is so worth and I am on cloud 9 each and every time I eat here. Those samosas are so crunchy. So good too. I was very satisfied with ordering some food from here for my wedding too. My family & friends loved the food too, especially since a lot of them were Islanders from Fiji. LOL If you don't know how to make Fijian curry and/or lazy to cook, this is definitely worth the place to spend your money for some good food! We ordered food for our wedding and couldn't serve this to our guests; super embarrassing! Please look at the pictures. The roti was burnt and nearly raw and the puri was full of grease and charred. We also order aloo mutter that was also undercooked and under seasoned. We had to add spice and cook it for a while before serving it. I'll be completely honest, whenever I come here to get bardo, samosa, Bhuja and other items on their shelves I always get priced differently. There is no consistency to their products price even when I get the same things all the time. I've also seen some customers going straight to their kitchen which got me thinking that is not sanitary and plus no hair net. I've also found hair in my bhuja and saw the girls who work in the front touch their hair a couple of times before packing my bhuja from behind the counter. Whenever I come, one of the girls have a very bad attitude. If you choose to shop here please keep in eye out for what your purchasing and how much they are charging you. read more

I am so disappointed! Have to agree with other reviewers, the pricing here is arbitrary & shamefully unfair. I faithfully purchase large quantities of bhujja ( several hundred dollars worth) several times a year for out-of-state family, but will now find a different merchant. I recently purchased an obscene quantity of bhujja & multiple boxes of canned goods. Several days later, my cousin sauntered in & was charged significantly less (for her two measly boxes). Small little convenience store on Mission Blvd near the Old Holiday bowl and in the same shopping center as Burger king and the hoagy steak place. Not a ton of selection compared to another Indian sweets store that I recently visited but nevertheless I went with some small white sweet cubes and a glazed small item that looked like a mini donut. The taste simply was not the appealing to me but to be fair I didn't like about half the sweets I tried at the other store either so maybe I just didn't select the right items. I wouldn't even give this place a star due to rude attitude of the FAKE daughters that work here! I phone ordered a total of $50 plus of things including Bara being one of them. I show up to pick up my order, while standing in line. An older Indian man who seemed like they were related to the owners cuts me off in line and asks for Bara. The younger girl, takes out the Bara from my order while I'm watching and gives it to him. As I get up to the front to get my order, I ask if my Bara is in there, she says no they didn't make it today. So I reminded her that she gave Bara out of my bag to the man. She went back to get her mom, and they gave me Bara from someone else's order. This is the kind of customer service they have. We then received a call from them, saying that we have to order 12 pieces of BARA. MIND YOU THIS WASN'T JUST AN ORDER OF BARA, IT WAS WITH PALAU AND OTHER THINGS. They're super friendly here and have a great selection of specialty items! My Dad loves this place and I'm so happy he shared it with me! They have curry plates and a drink for under 10$. The store selection is great if you are planning to cook an island dish at home. They offered to make my curry to order because I wanted it a little spicier. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. We are long time customers. Used Fiji Sweets for every occasion, funerals, poojas and wedding catering. The owner Jitesh has horrible service for his customers. We had planned to place an order for my 2023 wedding and even met with him to discuss logistics. Unexpected he just "changed his mind" and didn't want to cater anymore and decided to charge $2,000 more than what was mentioned for catering. Very unprofessional and rude. This business does not deserve a single star. I found them to be very unprofessional. I called to inquire about a catering order for about 25 people and completed their online form. With no response after a week, I called. Lady who answered asked me to text the menu items which I did and she responded promptly saying she will get back with a quote next week. By end of following week I texted asking if she could respond within a day or two so I could finalize the order. I have received no response to date. Perhaps the order was too small for their liking but common courtesy dictates a response. There is no shortage of Indian food catering in the bay area but I wanted to give Fiji folks a chance and my money. I was ridiculously excited when I saw that there was a store reminiscent of my childhood. Ice blocks, small snacks, fiji indian sweets. The vibe was light-hearted and hole in the wall-ish. One doesn't go there for customer service but for nostalgia. Salty snacks, peanut ruffs, twisties, bongo etc. the prices were a little too much for my taste and the sweets lacked all flavor. There was burfi, Gulab jamun, boondi laddoo, coconut burfi which was too far into the hard candy stage so it hurt to eat. Fortunately my teeth are secure.
