I've had this Indian restaurant bookmarked for a while, so when the craving hit, I finally ordered delivery through DoorDash--and wow, worth the wait. First off, everything arrived piping hot and packaged really well (major bonus points). I was pleasantly surprised to see branded containers, which already felt like a sign they take pride in what they do. The garlic naan tasted fresh, soft, and packed with flavor--no sad, dry naan here. I ordered two different chicken curries. I was in the mood for something along the lines of butter chicken, and while they didn't have it listed exactly, they did have chicken makhni... and let me tell you, it absolutely delivered. Rich, flavorful, and simply delicious. The second curry had more heat, and I loved it just as much--spicy without sacrificing flavor (a rare and beautiful balance). They have recently gotten remodeled and the inside looks amazing. The lighting and the bakery in the front shouts quality and the seats look modern while the leather cushions were firm. Lunch buffet - 5 / 5 They have your typical Indian favorites like tandoori chicken and chicken masala. Did I mention that they've also got lamb in the mix too? I got to say that the lamb, boy they were so good! They were definitely a crowd favorite as people were definitely digging into them whenever new batches are being brought out. Besides a salad bar, they've got some fruits and small Indian treats on top of your household Indian milk tea, boy it's a feast I tell ya! Yummy quality Indian buffet with a great selection of options for a reasonable price. I came to dine by myself on a Thursday during lunchtime. When I arrived the place was completely empty but quickly filled up as I was finishing up my meal. The options are plentiful (a salad bar, sauce bar, at least 3-4 curry options both meat and vegetarian, a bunch of fried dishes, and lots of dessert options). I appreciated the quality of all of the dishes. The buffet also comes with plain naan or specialty naan options for an extra cost. I tried the garlic naan which was fresh and flaky. I also ordered samosas on the side which didn't disappoint. It's not the best Indian buffet I've been to but definitely hits the spot when I'm craving Indian food. The consensus on most of the reviews you'll read on this page is that while the food can be good, the service leaves plenty to be desired. I had the same experience, and unfortunately, the latter outweighed the former. We placed a phone order for 25 samosas at about 2:30PM, specifying pickup at 5:00PM. We intentionally gave an earlier pickup time than we needed, and arrived at 5:45PM. The cashier had us pay, went to the kitchen, and came back looking panicked, telling us it would be 10 minutes. We were taking these for an event that we had to be on time for, so we just asked for a refund, but they argued with us and tried to convince us to wait (it definitely would have been longer than 10 minutes for that quantity). I understand that mistakes happen, but the appropriate response should be to inform us before taking our money, and definitely not argue when we request a refund. Best indian resturant ever! Been going here since I was a kid with my parents and its been about 15 years since I've been back and It's safe to say they've kept the same great quality of food! Amazing food and at such a great price point as well! Also, not to mention they don't accept tip!!! From there I understood that this workers are racist towards none Indian. The portions were huge and Dal Makhni had a medium thickness to it and has a good flavor but could use a bit more spice as it tasted a bit off by itself. Used to come here a lot. Used to be really good. The food rarely tasted old. Now it doesn't ever seem fresh. Came today to spend time with the family. The table they sat me at was dirty. I waited a while before they took my order, about 10 minutes. I waited for 30 minutes watching others after me get their food first before I asked the waitress what's taking so long for mine specifically. She said don't worry it's coming its coming. My lamb biryani and goat karahi tasted different than I remember it. Both were less spicy, which is actually good for me as I have weak tolerance for spicy food. This review is for the lunch buffet. We've been in search of a new Indian buffet ever since we had a poor experience at Favorite Indian and Kabila is right down the street from us. We were pleasantly surprised at this little hole in the wall. Rating Breakdown: 1.5/2 Stars for Taste -- The buffet comes with the classics -- butter chicken, goat curry, vegetable curries (chana masala, malai kofta, paneer masala, etc.), saag, tandoori chicken, and pakoras. The flavor profile tends toward more mild and sweet, less spicy. My husband wasn't a huge fan of their butter chicken but we both agreed that for the price, we weren't complaining. I was impressed with the fish pakora, it was lightly battered and kept coming out in piping hot batches. My husband thought the fish was a bit salty, but I didn't mind it. The tandoori chicken was surprisingly juicy and I appreciated that they cut it into smaller pieces so it's less of a stomach space commitment. There's plain naan but for $1 more, you can upgrade to garlic naan. It's hard to resist these fluffy white pillows when they're brought fresh to your table, don't burn your fingers! The chai was on the blander side but typical for a buffet. I loved the gulab jamun, but I would pass on the kheer next time because it was a bit more on the mushy side. My company caters from here from time to time and I'm a big fan of their long grain rice. The Asian in me loves the chew of the individual kernels. I prefer their chicken tikka masala to their butter chicken. Their samosas are also on point. 1/1 Stars for Value -- It was $17.99 for the lunch buffet without any add ons. That price is pretty hard to beat these days. There were plenty of people there for the buffet but also many people were ordering a la carte. The place was too cold and upon mentioning about the place was too cold the owner said that hearing system is not working and they have called the maintenance guy to fix it. 2. Their main door was open and some construction work was going on making loud noises from the heavy duty machines which was very annoying. 3. About their lunch buffet the food was cold in the chaffers and also there was not much dishes choices. There was no palak paneer and no fried vegetables like bhindi or gobhi or mixed vegetables. There was only chhole and daal. Naan was not made properly and was readymade heated naan which didn't taste like a naan Overall the entire lunch experience was awful. We ate at the much improved Kabila restaurant yesterday. They have recently gone through a beautiful major remodel. The restaurant interior is elegant and welcoming. We went for dinner and tried Bhinidi masala, chicken Karhai and kadi pakora for entrees. Also got plain naan and rice pulao. Everything was spot on, fresh, piping hot and delicious. Our server was very attentive and polite. Overall, a great experience! We will be returning soon to try more items on their menu! Oh..their Samosas and chutney are too good! Started as a 1-star experience, but they made an effort to make it right. I placed an order at 1:00 PM and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived at 1:30 PM for pickup, only to find that my food hadn't even been started. I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes and didn't receive my order until 2:00 PM. This was frustrating and unprofessional, as they did not uphold their estimated time or communicate any delays. However, after expressing my concerns to the front receptionist, he took accountability, sincerely apologized, and attempted to make it right by offering a complimentary item, which I appreciated. I've eaten here a few times a year for several years now. I started coming here way before the pandemic when the buffet was $8.95 per person. They used to have self serve mango ice cream with ice cream cones or bowls to put it in. It was usually very clean with paper table covers over white table cloths. They used to give you white cloth napkins too. Today it is $19.88 per person. Today is the first time I've ever seen a roach crawling on the buffet near the forks.
