Nerds in a Flash arrived late on a day that I was tightly scheduled and asked for considerably more than they had originally estimated (exactly the same job/problem I had described to them)... but redeemed themselves by cheerfully solving my problem and agreeing to the original estimate. Would I hire them again? You bet, but I recommend that you have them come in on a day that you have a flexible schedule, because your own time pressures are demonstrably unimportant to them.

I called on Monday and let Michelle know that though my computer wouldn't start, I understood that the hard drive was still good and I needed to transfer the data to the new one. She was very nice and set me up with an appointment for Thursday with a 1 hour arrival window. As a business owner, I understand that because some problems take longer than expected, scheduling service calls isn't an exact science. The most important thing is communication. James ended up running a little late but he handled it perfectly. He called me with 10 minutes left in the window to apologize and let me know he would be a few minutes late, which he was (3 minutes). In my experience, if someone is 3 minutes late they consider that on time and they certainly wouldn't call and give a heads up. As far as the service call goes, not only did he get my new computer set up, he figured out what was wrong with the old one and got it running again. Ending up with 2 working computers never entered my mind as an option. James made sure that he took care of everything I needed and helped me with a few things I didn't know that I needed. It's been a while since I've had a set IT resource so it was very helpful to talk with James about the other services he could help me with in the future. I will definitely call Nerds and James the next time I need IT help.

My repair has always been done within one hour which is amazing. My phone looks and works like new over and over. I have driven over it with my wheelchair many, many times and the phone's screen is quickly replaced and for way less than replacing the phone for sure! When I lost my phone and had to get a new one I took it there to get a new glass screen protector and they even helped this ole lady find an easier way to unlock it! John Cloud diagnosed a failed memory stick (oh no! they cost so much now!). I supplied an "extra" memory stick from one of the other computers at our church and John continued the repair diagnosing and fixing some particularly nasty software errors that had resulted from the initial hardware failure. All of our installed software now works reliably again! Great job! The machine was back in service on March 5 for a very reasonable repair cost! I'd become very familiar with the Blue Screen of Death a few days prior to giving him a call and tried to fix things myself (poorly), but Shane resolved the issue within a matter of hours, on my time, at my location. He even had the required parts on hand that were an upgrade to what I currently had installed. I even learned a lot just from discussing the issues with him, and I consider myself relatively tech savvy. Oh, and the computer runs better than I remember it running in years. I can't say enough nice things about Secret Simple, and I highly advise you give them the chance if you're wanting something fixed and fixed right.

Nice guy but immediately I new I was wasting money and time. He'd was basically running through a list on his phone identical to what i had dug up on the internet and tried myself. Not even close and I called it after a wasted hour and $160 I called Shane back. He came as promised right on time next day. Immediately diagnosed the problem. ( confirmed my worst fears ). He then proceeded to recover and preserve my data ( most important to me ) replaced the drives, reloaded windows with all the of specialized settings of this specialized system and got me going.
