If I could give Phleos Mobile Blood Collection zero stars, I absolutely would.
I paid their extremely high fee because my three-year-old autistic son needed bloodwork, and I expected them to send an experienced pediatric technician. Instead, the person they sent did not appear to have the proper training or experience necessary to draw blood from a young child. She arrived without gloves, without a proper collection bag, and without other necessary supplies. She later left blood-collection tubes behind in our home instead of properly disposing of them.
When she arrived, she also claimed that she did not have my son's lab orders, even though I had faxed everything two days before the appointment. She was only able to collect approximately one to one-and-a-half tubes, and the specimens were delivered late to the laboratory. Because of how the collection and delivery were handled, the required testing could not be completed, and now all of my son's bloodwork must be redrawn.
My son is autistic, and blood draws are extremely traumatic for him. He should not have to experience the entire procedure again because this company sent an unprepared technician who was not experienced in pediatric blood collection.
Their manager, Lacey Hood, handled this situation terribly and was extremely rude and disrespectful toward me. Another manager, Nida, later promised that the complete redraw would be provided free of charge. However, now that I am trying to schedule it, nobody is answering my calls. I am only receiving emails saying that Nida is out of the office and that I must restart the entire process, obtain new requisitions, and pay again.
This is completely unacceptable. I should not have to repeat all the paperwork or pay twice when the redraw is necessary because the original appointment was mishandled. More importantly, my autistic son should not have to suffer through this trauma again while the company refuses to take responsibility or honor its manager's promise.
Based on my experience, I would never recommend Phleos Mobile Blood Collection, especially to parents of young children or children with special needs. The lack of pediatric expertise, missing supplies, improper handling of collection materials, delayed specimen delivery, poor communication, rude management, and refusal to correct their mistake were completely unacceptable. read more
