I live downtown Milwaukee and love supper clubs, but had no idea we had one right next to the airport until yesterday! This place is great -- from Doug, the extremely friendly and helpful bartender, to the kitschy decor, to the excellent menu. It was Saturday night so, like a true supper club, they had a prime rib special. I got the king cut for 30 bucks, including salad and fries. The blue cheese dressing on the salad was cold, chunky and delicious. And the prime rib came out perfectly tender and rare like I ordered it. I will be offering friends and family free rides to the airport so I have an excuse to stop by this place as often as I can. read more

Awesome quaint place by the airport. It has a great assortment of libations. The bloody Mary's are tasty and the old-fashions are too tasty. The French onion soup was excellent as well as a soup that was called Philly cheesesteak. I cannot describe it except yum! I had the walleye. It was broiled and probably not a huge portion, but it was good and along with the veggies quite satisfying. The coconut shrimp was the rave though. The mango sauce is what makes the tasty bite. For 22$all you can eat- just omg. We had a new waitress. She was not only attentive and super endearing, but also warming and a very special person. Just a great experience. Typical of Milwaukee "dive bar" restaurants, they never fail to deliver good food and good drinks. The chicken parm is my favorite.

Food has always been delicious, especially the Fish fry. Have also tried the french dip sandwich and many other menu items, never disappointed! This is also one of the few restaurants that I can say have great service. The wait staff treats you right and many of the waitresses that I gave had will joke around with us or enjoy a pleasant conversation. Decided to give this place a try on a Saturday night with some friends. They have live music every Saturday night. So when we arrived around 7 o'clock the music was about to start. We made a reservation and we're sat within minutes of arriving. We were sat in a room off of the main dining room reminiscent to a porch. Our waitress was pleasant but she didn't seem to be too familiar with the drink or food menu. We started with an appetizer and ordered the fried green beans which was delicious and came out very fast. However the drinks from the bar seem to take a long time to arrive at the table. I decided to order the baked French onion soup which was very tasty but I've had better. I believe that the price point for the French onion soup is way too expensive at seven dollars. For dinner I got a steak tenderloin sandwich which was pretty basic. They did a great job cooking it the way I wanted (medium rare). My sandwich came with a side of french fries and they were nice and hot and crispy. My friends ordered the prime rib and the chicken Parmesan entrées. My friend wasn't very impressed with the prime rib, he stated he's had much better. My other friend did enjoy her chicken Parmesan. When it came time to order our second round of drinks I decided to order a Milwaukee Collins which unfortunately came back in the form of a Milwaukee mule. Both of these drinks are on their specialty drink menu. It is their version of a Moskal mule and a Tom Collins. Now I am not a fan of ginger beer so the moment I took a sip of my cocktail I instantly knew it it was the wrong one. So when I asked the waitress if she could please bring back the correct drink within moments the same drink showed back up at the table with a different garnish. Weird right ?!?! When I took a sip of the drink I realized it was still the ginger beer drink. I flagged my waitress down once again and said I was given the same exact drink just with a different garnish on it. Sooooooooo I don't know what kind of wool and the bartender was trying to pull over my eyes but I was definitely not having it. I decided to not get a second drink after all that because I was very disappointed in the whole situation. Now I know it's not the waitresses fault by any means but if a bartender doesn't know the difference between a Moscow mule and a Tom Collins then they really shouldn't be working behind the bar. I would definitely like to give this restaurant a try again in the future. They offer a lot of musical guests on Saturday nights and I think I would be really fun to go back and stay to listen to the music. I really have to give these folks credit I was out at Menards Called in two fish fries was ready by 12 pm central And normally they're tartar sauce is $.50 a piece so I gave them a 5 dollar tip the pieces were big fries were fresh and quite honestly this is I believe the best fish fry you can have here in Milwaukee and I've tasted a few thank you final approach for being in my life your food is heavenly god bless your food delicious!!! read more

Final Approach is just ok, IMO. They've been around for a good long time and remain very popular with locals - expect a wait at peak times for sure. They have some interesting airport themed decor, including a few rows of airline seats in the waiting area. It's got a sports bar + family restaurant thing happening with patrons of all ages. Food wise, it's pretty much classics - burgers, sandwiches, a few entrees. Don't expect anything really creative. We've mostly stuck to apps and they're just fine. Drink prices are pretty reasonable and the Mister says they make a really good old fashioned. Everyone here (staff and patrons) has been really friendly. They do need to staff up the bar in a big way as it was a big challenge to get a drink refill (no fault to the lone bartender who was hustling, she just needed help). I do appreciate that on live music nights they keep the volume reasonable - you can still have a conversation. I'd go back if someone wanted to go but I definitely wouldn't make a trip. read more

I can't help but rate this 5 stars. Everything was great. As the name would suggest, they're located directly across the main road to the Milwaukee Mitchell Airport. And while you would assume most of the patrons were travelers, our waitress Bette acted and treated my colleague and I as if we lived around the corner. When we arrived, the roadwork forced us to navigate a bit differently in order to get to the parking lot. I'm sure this is a slight deterrent for business. We arrived around 6:30 pm and were immediately seated in the dining area. There's also an option to dine in the bar area. They appear to serve a wide variety of craft beers on draft, but we weren't in the mood after an exhausting day. They have daily specials and on that Thursday, they featured Prime Rib. My colleague opted for the Queen Cut while I decided on Salmon Picata. The queen cut was exactly that and prepared perfectly served with potato. My salmon was bigger than I'd expected and also served with nice veggie sides. Bette mentioned something about the promotions they were having next week as if we were local. We told her our flight was tomorrow, but would definitely come back when we're in the area. read more

I wanted to like this one. Nice staff. Buddy took care of us at bar. Very slow but friendly. The onion rings weren't great. The cheese curds were good. Capt said the French dip was good. I went back for the AUCE shrimp on Sunday for lunch. It's available all day. You can choose from Boiled Shrimp (peel n eat), Fried Shrimp or Coconut Shrimp, or you can request any combination of the above. The boiled shrimp is served chilled, so don't expect it to be hot, like I did. I usually don't order peel n eat shrimp because it makes my fingers messy and sticky, but I wanted to try their's, and it was good, especially dipped in the cocktail sauce, but nothing special. The coconut shrimp is the star of this trio. They're the largest of the three and also the most succulant and crazy good. They're served with a sweet mango dipping sauce which is awesome! The fried shrimp were also good and tasted great with the cocktail sauce or the mango dipping sauce, so be sure to request it if you don't start with the coconut shrimp. The meal includes a basket of rolls and crackers, as well as choice of potato and soup or salad. I selected a tasty chicken vegetable soup and crinkle cut fries for my potato. Steak fries (potato wedges) or baked potato were the other options. The price is $14.95 and is a nice value for the coconut shrimp alone. Everything else is a bonus. I would do this again. read more

In an effort to support local businesses and still keep our family safe we decided to try the take out fish fry of several local restaurants. This place had a drive through and was right on my way home from work. I liked the fact that they had a bucket of fish which was nice. They have a great drive through system and I got my order in no time. Now one of the biggest issues with take out fish and fries is keeping it from getting soggy by the time you get home. I am not sure how they package their fish but it wasn't really a problem and everything was good when we got home. We really liked their fish fry and we would get it again. Portion size was good and they have breaded fish which is our favorite. We had left overs for the next day and it crisped up great in our air fryer (game changer)! read more

This is an underrated gem of Oak Creek!! We went on a Friday night with no reservations, and we hardly had to wait and we got a drink right away at the bar while we did. From the outside and the first glimpse of the place, we weren't sure what to expect. Holy cow, we were NOT disappointed! The food was phenomenal. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had in my life. We got the potato skin appetizer, and those were delicious. They have a huge Bloody Mary, and it is a must try!! Got lucky popping into Final Approach on a Friday for the Fish Fry after a flight to Milwaukee. The walleye pike was down home comfort food. Tender, flaky, crispy, and cooked perfectly, I was so glad to have be able to sample what they are known for. They do it so well. Good fried cheese curds. In fact most of their food is fried, but there are other options liked blackened and broiled available. The servers are friendly, helpful and efficient. For as much as people recommend it, I was not impressed. It's much larger inside than I was expecting but that was really the only positive part. My Grilled Cod was bland and not crispied up enough for me so I started eating my husband's breaded cod and though it tasted so much better, it was soggy. We have been before. Fine establishment, expectations really cannot be set high. This time was unable to even meet the low expectations from prior experiences. My boyfriend ordered a soda to have with his dinner. We were forced to go to the bar to get our own soda. The meal was lukewarm at best. After bussing our own table our waitress told us she forgot about us. She apologized saying she would give us $5 off the bill. We received our bill and were not only charged for the sodas we didn't receive but did not get the "forgot you existed" discount. I wish we had the server that liked my sweater. read more

This was my second time here and my experience was just as pleasant as the first time! Our server was kind and attentive and gave me a great recommendation for a salad. The salad ingredients were fresh and the shrimp and dressing on top had lots of flavor. My friend and I also got Bloody Mary's, which were tasty and had all the fixings. I will say that the cucumber and celery on top were a little frozen, but I will overlook this for good prices, warm atmosphere, and fast service. The restaurant experience depends not only on the food but the service. We arrived at 3:43 pm on a Friday. We were seated in 5 minutes. Our waitress Veibe was terribly slow. We saw her rarely and she wasn't nice. We have waited for over FORTY minutes for our food while three tables that came 10-15 minutes after we' were seated got their food before we did. We didn't order anything difficult, a burger, fish fry, and two orders of shrimp. We are still waiting. And the waitress for those tables around us kept coming around asking how they are doing, filling their water glasses and getting more drinks. Our waitress is MIA. We had to ask another waitress for our food and when it arrived, it was lukewarm at best. It was clear to us that our food had been sitting around for a while.- Even getting our check was a painful experience.
