    Clam chowder
    Annemarie D.

I wasn't sure what to expect. The bars and restaurants around the airport haven't really impressed me. In Plane View is a bar that also serves food. So if you want quiet conversation this is not the place for you. They have numerous televisions around the bar so you can follow whatever game is on. I went on a Friday so I had to try the clam chowder. It was full of flavor and I would definitely order it again. They offer beer battered or breaded cod. This isn't something I have seen often. I like both variations but decided to try the breaded. It was very good and was even great leftover the next day. The tartar was perhaps a dill mix. I prefer tartar made with relish but this wasn't bad. The coleslaw had a great flavor and was finely cut. I will definitely be back to try the beer battered fish fry. I will also put this on my rotation to watch football games. If you like food challenges they have a Mile High burger challenge. It's $75 and is 3 pounds of beef, one pound of cheese, half a pound of bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion. It comes with two pounds of fries and a 22 oz beer or soda. If you down all of that in 30 minutes it's free. The employees were very welcoming and seem to enjoy working there.

I've been to In Plane View a few times over the past year and a half with my favorite thing to get being the grilled cheeseburger (grilled cheese sandwiches for the top and bottom buns with a 1/2 pound burger patty and bacon between them). As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the best burgers I've had in the Milwaukee area. My family came with me on my most recent visit and liked the cheeseburgers they got too. Definitely a place I look forward to stopping at again and again.

My parents were on their way out of town and they asked me to find someplace close to the airport so we could just eat and get to the airport in time. In Plane View had good reviews here on Yelp, so that is where we went. The menu is not overwhelming, and Kim the bartender was super friendly and helpful. My mom got the Reuben and my dad and son got cheeseburgers. I decided to go a little off the beaten path and I got the Reuben rolls. Oh my goodness! They had the texture of regular eggrolls with the deliciousness of a Reuben inside. They were amazing and I would definitely recommend them and have them again. In Plane View definitely gives you the opportunity to watch the planes as the front faces the airport. There were lots of screens with sports and it had a usual lounge-y feel.

First off Skyler did an absolutely fantastic job at being the face for the business, she does her job very well and the passion shows. I was off today while everyone was working so I took my self out for a beer and burger bar lunch like I like to do. This place is the old Brass Monkey with I think new owners but same staff and a new menu with new beers. It's right across from the airport with a patio view of the airport. The place is a nice looking bar/restaurant with bar seting, tables and a few booths. I ordered the krombacker pilsner which was server in a frosted glass which I appreciate that I was told is from Germany which was good. The menu isn't bad and just right for a bar with apps, salads, pizza, wings, sandwiches, wraps and burgers with a Friday fish fry menu. I was told that I can get a rare burger so I ordered the B52 bomber which is a 1/2 pound patty with blue cheese and bacon and I added raw onion. My B52 was cooked perfect and tasty on a fresh bun. The patty was juicy and it had a nice grill flavor with plenty of bacon but the blue cheese flavor was lost a bit because it needed more to stand up to the bacon and beef. The frys were hot and cooked to order and seasoned nicely. You get a meal and drink card and after so many you get free food and drink which is cool if your a regular. Overall it was a great lunch with good beer and a good burger with great friendly service so I would definitely go back for more of the menu.

I had someone recently suggest I check out In Plane View over by General Mitchell International Airport. They didn't have a ton of options for vegetarians, but that's probably not their target audience. It looks like they put an emphasis on the local bar feel and the dining after that (but for those that aren't vegetarian - there are a lot of options for you to pick from!). I think the big appeal is their outdoor seating that puts you ...In Plane View - as their name suggests. On my way out I saw a plane taking off. Could be a great spot to grab an affordable meal and a few drinks before flying off somewhere.

Bri(anna), Skylar and Danny are part of an awesome crew at In Plane View which is yes, in plane view of MKE airport! Great location, plenty of parking and food and service was wonderful for me and my two boys. We came for the burgers and IPV did not disappoint! Make this your go to place near the airport for classic grub hub food. And don't forget their homemade chips!

The food here is always delicious. We also got their mozzarella sticks which are amazing top 5 in MKE, or at least I think so. I'm a bit of a food connoisseur and I think their homemade ranch and mozzarella sticks are one of the best. Their fish fry is also delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxed and they have a large bar. Lots of seating.

Location It's in the busy Third Ward, parking can be a struggle during peak times. There's angled meter parking out front but sometimes it's hard to get a spot. 2. Service and Cleanliness The restaurant was clean and this included the self serve utensil area. The staff weren't smiley and enthusiastic. They meant business but they weren't rude and did greet me when I approached the counter. They provided fast service and got me in and out. 3. Quality of the Food The food quality is always fresh and the portions are so big you can easily get two meals out of one bowl. My only mistake this time was getting the dressing. Hard to save leftover salad with dressing already on it. Don't make my mistake unless you're sharing or can eat a huge salad. First glance at the menu, I admit I was a little unsure. Lots of unique offerings, with the Grain Bowls, Plates, Greens & Grains being made with black rice or quinoa. The latter of which I am not a fan. Still, on my first visit, I decided to try the Thai Bowl. I ended up really enjoying the black rice. The roasted veggies were tender, and the thai basil pesto had a bit of spice to it, which paired wonderfully with the subtle sweetness of the curry. The portion size was perfect, satisfying me but not leaving me full. I also tried the Ginger Tepache, which was extremely refreshing and delicious. A wonderful alternative to Kombucha if that's not exactly your thing. The restaurant is bright and airy with bar, high top and table seating. They had a wide variety of gain bowls, salads and wraps to choose from and they all looked good. I ended up choosing the Asian BBQ grain bowl and a hibiscus tepache to drink. Let me start by saying, I did not realize how big the grain bowls were. They are big enough for either two people to share or for one very hungry person. I could not eat it all because the portion size we just huge. The bowl had so much flavor and a little kick of spice--just enough from the poblanos to make it a tad spicy but not so much your mouth was burning. The BBQ sauce melded with the grain well too and added a little bit of sweetness to the bowl. Overall, the bowl was great and I would definitely order another one or try some of their other options as well. The tepache tasted similar to kombucha if you have never had once. This was my first time trying it so that was the only thing I could relate it too. The hibiscus flavor was nice and light but overall I would just get a water next time--I just do not think I am a kombucha or tepache person.

We initially declined but within a minute changed our mind. Our server was understanding and quickly brought over an extra flight (which I saw her bring from the heating lamps). This plate was also the same temperature. I really don't like to leave neutral or negative reviews, but it's unfortunate to spend money and have a less than par experience on the food we were looking forward to eating. We did take a small box to go and the crab cake heated up later was very delicious, but just not the same as if we had been given a hot meal to start at the restaurant. I've eaten here for dinner and was super impressed with the serving size, but I don't think I'd come back for brunch.
