She folded it twice and pinned it, but altered it to the one fold. Second: the original hem was used and it is placed there so untidily. I have had original hems done on jeans before and the finish is seamless. This is a clunky unfinished look - very bad. Third: This is on me - I went to this place becasue they were the cheapest, but I got what I paid for. And now I have to go to another place to redo this mess. I will not go back again. I hate giving bad reviews especially when it's a small "mom and pop" shop but this one needs a wake up call. This is not a business. They open and close whenever they want. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They answer their phone with just a "hello".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They don't tell you how much their services will cost nor can they tell you when it will be done. Basically, the "gal" at the front desk says "We'll call you when it's ready" and if you as for a date they'll say "one week". One week will come along and it's still not done. So unprofessional! Zero service at this place and the "gal" offers no apology for the lack of service. I would skip it. This is on the second floor. You go through doors that say 615. Three maxi dresses, making it shorter costed $85 works if you really need it done quick. She only pinned one side when I had to ask her to pin the back too as the dress was different lengths in the front and back. Bathroom had a sign but it's the typical "out of order" so I don't have to clean the bathroom sign. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only plus was I forgot my blue ticket but she still got it for me with my last name.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So that was nice. But this can be seen as iffy as well. Oh well! Excellent! Perfected a "cheap" dress for us for prom, and helped us customize it. They added additional hooks and tighten it up. They removed the extra fabric from the front we didn't like and added it to the back for a more full/bustled look. It was exactly what we wanted. Price was reasonable, timing was great. I only wish they had later hours one or two days a week to make it easier to get there before they close. Definitely taking more things back here! read more

Amazing and exactly what I needed! Helped to take in my daughter's prom dress and change up some of the design. She actually removed extra pieces of fabric from the front of the dress to the side and back. The dress came out beautifully and it was done on time and at a reasonable price. I'm so glad to have found this little alterations shop. My normal place couldn't do what I needed done, so I looked on Yelp for another shop and found Final Cut Alterations. They were very accommodating and fit me right in as it was kind of a 'coat emergency'. They're a tiny shop in a strip mall, tucked away upstairs. I had no idea they were here after 6 years of driving by every day on my way to work! They did a great job and were total sweethearts. Came in to alter a hoodie (downsize from XL to M). I also brought in a sample with an ideal fit. In a week, they were able to make the alterations perfectly. The fit is immaculate now. Don't take your tailoring to the dry cleaner - come here instead! I had three jackets that needed the sleeves shortened, and initially took them to our local dry cleaner. The seamstress there quoted me a high price to simply turn up the ends of the sleeves (which would look messy since there is a slit with buttons), and a catastrophically high price to shorten from the shoulder - as in, more than I paid for the jacket. I then took the jackets to Final Cut, who quoted me a price about half of what the dry cleaner wanted, to take the sleeves up from the shoulder. And they did a beautiful job. I would note that you do need to be very clear about agreeing when they will complete the job - like most tailors they have multiple balls in the air at any one time, and are dealing with everyone's tailoring emergencies, so you will want to confirm clearly in writing what day and time you'll be picking up your job. read more

Firstly, this is on the first floor and there is no elevator access. Then I requested a chair for my older mom to sit as we finally made it up.. and while the lady there was sitting she refused to oblige offering her even a stool to rest on never mind a chair. Then there is no real provision to change and show the lady how much needs to be altered and again a place for my mom to sit and wear the pants that need alterations.... it was a complete waste of time. The lady finally said she would alter them based on The inseam and even that measurement was all messed as as now the pants fit my mom ankle length. Unless you are able to climb a flight of stairs, know the exact size and mark your garments prior to going here for alterations or this place is not worth it at all. Won't be back here. Lacks total customer service nether is it ADA compliant. read more

Looked to get some work done on a suit and I had suggestions from the suit maker on how to address some issues. I pointed out that my shoulders felt really tight, but they thought nothing of it and followed the suit maker's recommendation without second thought. I dropped it off and called a week later, got some attitude on the phone saying that its not ready and that she would have called me if it was ready. Another few days go by and nothing. I call to confirm, she says its ready to pick up. When I picked it up, the back seam that they had let out was full of holes and damage, leading me to have to get it re-sewn. I had a beaded dress that needed to be taken in - she and the other seamstress were very clear about was possible to alter without ruining the beading. I've had a few garments taken in, most on a last minute basis, and the ladies at Final Cut have so graciously worked with my timeline and delivered excellent alterations. I was looking for a local seamstress to fix the zipper on my favorite sports bra and I saw that I could easily get a quote from final cut alterations via the yelp app. I explained what I needed done and attached a picture. They responded within the hour quoting a really reasonable price of $8 since I still had the zipper. I dropped off my item and told them to take their time in fixing it. They messaged me on the yelp app within a couple of hours of me dropping my sports bra off, letting me know that I needed a new zipper and they would be happy to repair it. They messaged me within 24 hours letting me know that my zipper had been repaired and was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I expected to be charged a little extra since they had to replace the zipper. They did not. They also remembered me and our conversation via the yelp app without having me to mention my name to them. The zipper repair was flawless and I am so happy that I came here. Overall, I had such a positive experience with them. They had prompt response time and accurate price quotes with great customer service.
