Alberto is super fantastic and I need to give credit to his crew. They do professional quality work. I took my dad's car to Alberto to see if he would be able to fix a major problem. My dad was spray painting an object 6 feet away from his car on a windy day. Long story short, the overspray got all over his brand-new car. To make things worse he took acetone to the car to remove it (per the advice of a store associate). Alberto looked at the car and said no problem. I left the car with him and 5 days later, I swear my dad's car was brand-new. It looked better than when we picked up the car from the dealer. If you're doing research to find the best place for both (a) mechanical maintenance/repair (b) detailing/cosmetic work.... Congratulations, there's no need to look further. I spent at least a week searching through Google and yelp to try and find the best place to take my car. I drive a 2007 Mustang GT California Special coupe with manual transmission. My car is one of the few things I am truly passionate about, so I spent a lot of time and effort on making the most cautious and best decision possible. After reading the overall great reviews for Final Inspection Auto, I decided to give them a shot.... I am so happy that I decided to give Final Inspection a chance. They have EARNED my business for LIFE. I went into the shop knowing that my 10 year old car needed work. Robbie, a true master of his craft, quickly found everything that needed work on my car. Instead of trying to sell me on a whole bunch of crap that I didn't need, Robbie gave me a concise list of what he recommended in order of how important it was. He then explained what each item would fix and the result it would give. Everything was very clearly explained and he did not suggest anything that was unnecessary. I wound up giving him the green light on all of his suggestions, because I wanted my car to run at peak performance. The prices he gave me were totally fair and well below what a dealership would try and rip me off for. My 10 year old car also needed a new set of tires because they had begun to rot. Alberto, the owner, was able to give me the best options for my car and needs at the best price available (as corroborated by my own research online). Final Inspection Auto has an affiliation with tirerack.com, so they are able to get wholesale prices for their customers! He got the new tires on the SAME DAY that I brought my car in for the mechanical maintenance... Boy is that fast... Finally, for $40 They cleaned my car inside and out almost as well as any other place would call a "detail"... I can't wait to bring my car back to actually get detailed when spring comes around. Long story short, I dropped my car off in the morning, it was sad... it had old oil, the fluids were all old and chalky, the tires were rotting, it was filthy from the weather.... When I picked it up, the car was sparkling inside and out, it had new beautiful tires that hug the road like a dream, the engine was purring and the gears were shifting like the car was brand new.... excuse me, BETTER THAN BRAND NEW. Alberto, Robbie, and the rest of the crew are hard working, stand up guys, who carry out their business with a lot of passion and integrity. As someone who cares a LOT about their car and who also cares a LOT about getting good service while not getting ripped off... I am satisfied beyond all expectations. Final Inspection sets the bar quite high. Look no further, this is the crew you want to work on your car. In my opinion, Final Inspection is the best shop on the island for all of your auto needs, mechanical OR cosmetic. read more

Probably one of the best car detail shops on Long Island. These boys really know how to get into every nook and cranny of your car. But if you want a fantastic mechanic, ask about Robbie. My friend bought his wife a pre-owned certified BMW that went back to the dealer six times for a problem they could not diagnose nor fix. Not only are they good friends of mine (Linda & Bert) but they also do some great work! I bring my car there for everything. Literally, EV-ERY-THING. They always give their honest opinions and will always work with my busy schedule. I have no problem with leaving my car there over night and leaving the keys in the drop box. I have gotten my windows tinted, my roof wrapped, my calipers painted, my tires powder coated, and my old car had the ball bearing and power steering fixed by them.
