My dad was spray painting an object 6 feet away from his car on a windy day. Long story short, the overspray got all over his brand-new car. To make things worse he took acetone to the car to remove it (per the advice of a store associate). Alberto looked at the car and said no problem. I left the car with him and 5 days later, I swear my dad's car was brand-new. It looked better than when we picked up the car from the dealer. Like fixing your car and taking your money but not giving your car the inspection you agreed on. Then when you ask what happened to the inspection, they say you need to pump another $xxx.xx into fixing miscellaneous items before they will give you an inspection. (Mind you, you then take your car down the street to the gas station where it passes the inspection in 5 mins ...) For some reason, in all the years I've lived in the Glen Cove/Oyster Bay area I was unaware that the same family had an auto repair business here. I had driven past it a thousand times and it just never registered. I was fortunate to rediscover them after all these years, because not only is the price and quality of their service still every bit as excellent as I'd remembered, but they are as friendly and affable as I recalled. When I parked it, the man appeared to be annoyed that it was not in the parking lot. I asked if I should wait for him to inspect it to see if I would be charged extra miles and he said no. When I said the guy from the first shop I picked the uhaul from told me prices were $.79 per extra mile, the man reported it was $1.79 on weekends and $.99 during the week day (I rented on a Sunday). When I looked at the bill that was emailed, he charged me $25 cleaning fee. There was nothing to clean! When I called customer service, they called the company where the man reported there was popcorn he had to clean up. That was a lie, no one was eating in the car! So shady to try to scam people for extra money.
