A chill bar where the locals hang out. I went on a Tuesday night but there was a decent crowd there, some playing darts and others playing pool. Each of those machine are dollar and coin operated. There is one pool table and like 3 to 4 electronic dart boards that'll probably need $2 for a game for two players. There are multiple dart games you can select from the machine. You just have to ask for the darts from the bartender. Would recommend if you want a chill hangout spots. read more

The final score is 40 love. Because if you're 40, you'll love this place during the day. At night I'm sure it's a different story, but it's a chill, no-nonsense dive to get a stiff drink. Natasha has a great pour. Only complaint is the music is pretty loud (jukebox, get off my lawn!). The bartender let me pay for my $4.50 bar tab on my credit card. Yay! I was surprised she didn't make me use their ATM, or tell me that they had a minimum for credit cards. That automatically gives this place 4 stars for convenience. I saw their Guinness machine and thought they had Guinness on tap, but unfortunately they only had it in a can. It never tastes the same out of a can. Overall, this seemed like a pretty safe and low-key place to have a few drinks with friends. read more

This is one of those places that's been around a while. Always a consistent watering hole. A good bunch of regulars and every tender I've seen there over the years has been pretty strong. The guy who runs it really helped me out. I was having some "trouble" of the woman type. And after I had a couple drinks, I suddenly needed to leave right away. I knew the owner from around the way. And I was ok to hang and drink a bit. I get so excited. Sometimes. Because I haven't been hangin out much the last ten years. But suddenly the S hit the fan. I needed to get across town pronto and couldn't figure out how to call an Uber or Lyft. I was planning on driving later. So I had my car. But I needed to ditch my car, not get a DUI and needed a safe ride so fast. The bartender tried to get me a cab. And some of the people around couldn't understand that I kinda have a disability, and I started to panic. And I couldn't add my debit card to the Uber app. I just couldn't do it. Like enter the card on the phone. Joe leapt up and handled it. Got me home. Someone got a Lyft for me. And it was nice to be taken care of even though I made a fool of myself as some overly excitable panicky invalid. This place has always been good. read more

This is a nice little neighborhood bar that is in a good location with great parking availability and awesome bartenders. I frequent this bar when in town and never have a dull time. The bartenders are friendly and look out for the patrons of this establishment. Went here on a slow afternoon & had a decent time. Your basic dive/sports bar, but they have darts! The real kind, with metal tips & math you have to do yourself. Prices & pours are decent. I had a bad experience with one drunken, slurring, & offensive idiot who found it appropriate to grab my skirt, pull it up, & try to stick his head down for a look-see. UGH. He would NOT leave me alone, but luckily I had my very tall, very sturdy, works-in-security male friend with me who rushed outside @ my call & handled the situation. Little man picks up a chair when my friend asks him to back off & "apologize to the lady" & thinks he stands a chance? He didn't. Afterwards we returned to our seats at the bar. When the female bartender heard about the situation, she offered me a free drink, apologized, kicked that loser out & told me to tell her if I experienced anymore trouble. If you were a frequent visitor to The Huddle, you'll recognize Joe and Carl, the proud owners of this establishment. I won't go into detail about The H, it's part of San Jose's underbelly and I'd like to keep it that way. But let's just say that this bar does a nice job of picking up where The Huddle left off. pretty much like any other dive bar with interesting characters and drunken adventures waiting to happen. the crowd here is usually older, at least when i have gone (which is only twice). They are well stocked with all of the requisite liquor and beer you'd expect so you'll never have to ponder over some dreary list of house cocktails. some of the interesting characters include one female bartender with a jarringly deep voice, one young guy (really tall and bald) who always orders a pitcher of what looks like bud light, and a small gaggle of middle aged men scoping out the meat market. i've even seen a mullet or two... it really is good times and unpretentious as the other reviews say. read more

Great place for NFL Sunday's , they have free BBQ for anyone who enters and buys soda or alcohol. They have ribs, bergers, hotdogs all free, if you buy drinks. Older guys cooks with charcohol pit and food is ready from 11am-3pm. Food is only on NFL Sundays. Bring extra paper towls, their napkins run out. Beer is about $3.5 for bottle and soda is $2.50 , no refills. Bar has about 12 tvs showing all NFL games. You can sit at table with bar stools are drink at counter. You must be 21 to enter bar, no kids allowed. Free parking. Bad- I have seen cops parked watching people leave, so make sure you are good to drive. The bar does have pool table and darts too, not sure of cost. The crown for NFL games is about 20 people at any one time, plenty of places to sit. Bathroom is small and old, poor plumbing, poor lighting. I hold my breath when I enter bathroom. Nice dive bar, no troublemakers, no gangs, just an older crowd of 45+. Have fun.... read more

Went here last night with a bunch of friends. We stood out because we definitely not part of the regular crowd. The regular crowd was friendly enough, the bartender was nice, and the drinks were really cheap. And thats why this place gets 3 stars. I have been visiting this bar for several months now. I can't remember a time when I didn't enjoy myself. The place is full of regulars, but everyone is friendly. It's a great, (very) casual place to grab a drink. I'm a big people watcher and there is NEVER a lack of things to see. I have been here by myself [showed up early waiting for friends on numerous occasions (which is weird because I'm always late)] and I've never been uncomfortable or left out. I stopped to have a drink after work. The bartender that was there when i got there was great. Her name was kerry, i believe. She was so nice and her service was awesome ! Once her shift was over the next bartender came in. She was cold from tbe get go. She treated me and my friends like crap. I have never felt so un welcome at a bar as i felt when i was there. I believe she goes by alexa. She was so rude.to my friends and i. I was watching a pre season warrior game and maybe not much people care about that, bur since there was less then ten people there to begin with, i asked if they could play the warrior game on the screen that was directly in front of me.she said ok. She said, " you know its not a real warrior game, right? I replied yes. She put the game on for me.shortly after, someone walked in and asked for college football on all the tv screens. She said ok and changed the channels. I confronted her, and said i already requested to watch the warrior game. Her response was so rude. She told me to quit talking and behave until she was ready to change the channeI. I was floored, and couldnt believe that she was fine treating me like dirt. I am not a regular there, but i will never go back as long as alexa is there. She is a freakin jerk. If you ever go there and are treated like shit, she was probably bartending that day or night. Absolutely LOVE this place!!! Very friendly and well-kept local bar. Recently upgraded interior - nice pool table and a couple or three dart machines. Internet based jukebox and at least 8 large flat-screens. Free WiFi as well! Football package on Sundays showing every game played. Free Hors D' Oeuvres on the weekends and frequent full BBQ's on Sundays for the games. Weekdays and weekends during the day there are a lot of regulars and they are very pleasant. The place gets hoppin at night pretty much all week long for the 20 something crowds. Great place for anyone to meet for drinks and fun anytime. They pour a good drink at a fair price. read more
