This was a great spot for a last minute client dinner when I was visiting a few months ago for the GTC conference. The staff was very friendly and managed to get 15 of us in at the last minute when nowhere else was able. The food was better than anticipated and generally the vibe was casual enough for a laid back dinner that didn't feel overtly stuffy. Let's start with parking: the parking lot was packed, had to drive to the parking garage down the street to park and walk over "honestly it's not a big deal unless it's raining" They have inside and outside seating available. The decor and tables, especially the soft seating is really nice. Kind of reminds me of a pub. The service is fast and efficient, maybe a little to fast "like they are in a hurry" otherwise the server's do a great job. I ordered the Loco moco, comes with rice, a hamburger patty, 2 fried eggs "sunny side up" macaroni, salad, and gravy. The server ask me how I wanted my burger cooked? I said medium rare. It came to me perfectly cooked at medium rare!! This was the first time I've had Loco Moco so I can't really compare it to others ... that being said, I'd order it again in a heart beat, it's so good!! Shocked I haven't written a review for Water Tower Kitchen yet! I used to come all the time before Covid and I can't believe it took me this long to come back! I always really enjoyed the food, drinks, and atmosphere. It's a fun and lively spot with lots of natural light. The menu isn't super expansive, but they have a decent number of items and also offer some healthier bites. We recently came here to watch a college football game, they had three big projector screens, playing different games, as well as more TVs around the walls playing the games as well. It looked like most games were on at least two tvs, which was great so you could see them from whichever side you were sitting on. We opted to sit upstairs so that we could spend more time and have a good view of the screen. To eat we got the Tower Fries, which came with skirt steak that was really good, I was very impressed with the cook on the steak. We got some cocktails then opted for a high noon bucket since we were going to be there for a while. Love the food and the ambience here. This review is about great service. Walked in with a group of 10 people, including 4 young kids without a reservation. They had a table for us and we were seated with minimal wait. We ordered drinks and food for the kids. Told our waiter to bring the kids food out as soon as it was ready. Our waiter provided us with coloring sheets and crayons. That kept the older 3 occupied. The toddler wanted to roam. The staff and guests were very accommodating to our wandering toddler and the various adults in our party that followed them around. The adult food order got behind a large take out order, according to the wait staff and kind of dribbled out to us. The restaurant ended up comping us a drink on the last entree to arrive and gave us 2 free desserts. Our party found this more than far. Great service. Good food. Nice ambience. We got here on a Wed at 12 on the dot and was able to snag the last big table for a party of 5 in the covered outdoor area. Great customer service For American food it wasn't shabby. I wanted my tower fries. Pretty much carne asada fries. My Mac n cheese was basic as well. It was company paid lunch so I'm not complaining. I ordered the lavender drink (so refreshing and not overly sweet), the miso salmon which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, lettuce wraps that were super fresh, and the buffalo cauliflower bites that had the best crispy texture with just the right amount of kick. Been wanting to try out Water Tower Kitchen for a while and finally came here! I've now visited two times within a short span and it's been nothing but great, honestly no big complaints on my end. Service and food both times have been consistent. Parking here is a little tough if you come on a busy weekend but you can park on the street. They have plenty of inside seating with a bar, they also have an upstairs but haven't been up there just yet. For the food its a couple of steps above bar food. I've tried their pretzel which is super large enough to share for 4 people. It was very warm and the dough was soft. As for the entree, both times I've gotten the loco moco. From the patty to gravy to eggs and mac salad, it just hits the spot. It's more Americanized then your classic Hawaiian dish (I know Hawaii is in the U.S but you know what I mean). The smash burgers were hands down the best part of the entire meal! They were packed with flavor, and the fries were just as good. The margaritas were a little mid for my taste, but the appetizers were delicious and definitely worth ordering. We also loved the dessert (because there's always room for dessert!). We went here after helping out a former coworker and I saw this place was in the area. I had the jambalaya with pasta, we also got burgers, loco moco, fries, and others. Drinks seemed good, people liked the mango bliss. The employees were friendly, one of my coworkers liked the sweater but they didn't make it and that seems like a missed opportunity for money and promotion. The spicy marg was light with a good amount of heat. I was driving so this was a good sipping cocktail. I really liked the croissant waffle. It was not too sweet, flaky, and crispy. The tower fries are a good staple. Good amount of toppings to make it substantial. The ceviche was all right. I could have skipped that. I wanted more citrus and freshness. Great place for drinks and food with friends. Service was great, very attentive but not pushy and extremely accommodating. We had a stroller and they were fantastic about making space for it. I ordered the Banana Negroni ($18) and it was perfectly balanced. Appetizers like the Mexican Street Corn ($11), Gilroy Garlic Shrimp ($17), Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($19), and Buffalo Cauliflower ($14) were delicious and great for sharing. For mains, there was something for everyone and every dish landed. Turkey Club ($19), Asian Chicken Salad ($18), Chili and Cornbread ($17), Philly Cheesesteak ($23), Baja Shrimp Salad ($29), and Loco Moco ($23) plates were all enjoyed with zero complaints. Came here for Sunday brunch. They have a farmers market so be ready to look for parking. The place is nice, it has tvs with all the games on. Workers just kept passing by our table. We ordered several items. Some really good, some really bad. We got the garlic noodles with shrimp. Best dish we had. The mac & cheese with bacon and garlic was good also. The Philly cheesesteak was very underwhelming. Do not get. Portions of meat and cheese were little and lacked flavor. My wife got the loco moco. This was the worst. She was served a very undercooked burger patty. Looked raw in some parts. We ended up sharing a desert. The churro waffle. It was really good. The shrimp ceviche had a good few bites but it had an interesting aftertaste that I wasn't able to pinpoint. There are a bunch of TV's here so if you're here to catch a game, it's most likely going to be on. The coffee was good, nice ube flavor, not super strong like regular vietnamese coffee. The loco moco had a huge burger patty, mac salad, eggs cooked how you want and rice. Definitely a filling brunch/breakfast meal so I would come hungry. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The Queso was amazing as well as the chicken and waffle. It is loud and will get chilly inside so if you're here only for the food, i would recommend sitting outside. The staff was all really nice and attentive I was trying to get the guys name but on my receipt, which is normally where I get the names of my waiters it said "AM BAR B" so thanks AM BAR B lol.. He was super nice .. I really enjoyed my drink I got the Butterfly Effect it was pretty looking and very tasty . All the food looked so delicious I had trouble deciding what to get. I did go by myself, so it made it even harder that I couldn't share with anyone . I was craving a salad and they have really good selections of salads. I ended up getting the Cali Cobb it was so delicious! I asked my waiter for different salad dressings, which he gave me a whole bunch after trying the Asian dressing now I have to go back for the Asian Salad next time. I also tried the Ube cheesecake it was so good . When I see anything Ube I have to try it . Overall this place really made an impression on me I had a great time on my solo date lol . We've never heard of this place before, and decided to go because we had a gift card. The place is nice with semi-industrial look. It has two floors and plenty of TVs to watch sports. We ordered the following: (1) spicy Margarita (2) lager beer (by Del Cielo) (3) ceviche appetizer (4) buffalo style cauliflower appetizer (5) mushroom burger with garlic fries (6) blue cheese burger The experience was great and food/drinks were 10/10. My only issue were the obvious crumbs on two of the four velvet chairs - they were probably busy but just a small request to kindly clean off the chairs when wiping the table for next guests. Where do I start aside from I absolutely LOVE Water Tower?! And so do my friends and family. I have visited this restaurant sporadically over the years and they have been great every time. But, they absolutely SURPASSED great when we booked their patio for our baby shower a few weeks ago. Melissa, their Event Coordinator was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. She took on every single one of my questions (at all random hours,) requests, and changes with kindness and patience. She was always responsive and quick, which is super important for a frazzled, pregnant woman. Anthony, our designated bartender for the event was friendly, outgoing, and so amazing dealing with a more than average "rowdy" group. The service staff was on point the whole event, ensuring to pay attention to little details such as keeping the food fresh and replenished. We've received nothing but positive feedback from guests, from service to the tastiness of all the food options! We appreciated this experience so much that we'll be returning later this week to celebrate my son's graduation with our friends and family. The inside of the restaurant is clean and bright, and their patio is quiet and shaded. If I'm coming with one or two other people, I typically like to order a few things off the appetizer menu to share as our meal. Some of my favorites include the Mexican street corn, chicken lettuce wraps, and pretzel sticks. If I'm coming with a larger group, I'll typically order the downtown mac & cheese with bacon. I went to Water Tower Kitchen over the weekend for brunch. I didn't have the best experience with my meal, but I would be open to return and try something new in the future! The ambiance is really nice, the restaurant is spacious and decorated really well. The chairs are comfortable, and the tables are big enough to not feel pinched for space. I ordered the downtown coffee, which is a Vietnamese coffee with ube and coconut milk. It was okay - not as sweet as I hoped! I thought the flavor was unique though, and I liked that. The drink size was also large, so I was able to sip it throughout my meal. For my main, I got the avocado toast with scrambled eggs instead of poached and a side order of hashbrowns. This was very bad. Probably one of the worst I've ever had. The sourdough was incredibly chewy to the point of being tough to cut with a knife and eat. It really put the SOUR in sourdough - not the best taste either. The avocado was fine but bland as there was hardly any everything but the bagel seasoning on it and no salt on the table to correct it. The hashbrowns were good at first but became soggy very quickly. The eggs were fine! Service was great. We were able to be seated before our reservation too, which was nice. I just did not enjoy my meal at all, and for a $15 avocado toast, you would hope it tastes a lot better than this. read more

We ordered it in large part because of the pineapple slaw, but the pineapple flavor was basically nonexistent. Our friends ordered a couple things that they also weren't impressed with. On top of that, we got seated at an odd spot out front of the restaurant, and the waitress came by super infrequently. It took ages to get the menu for dessert and to get our check. I recently visited this restaurant for some lunch with my mom and 1 year old. We brought our dog along too so we were seated outside which was covered and heated. The service was exceptional. Three servers tag teamed the tables and made sure everyone was taken care of at all times. We split a couple of apps and then each ordered a meal. I ordered a plain smash burger, but it came with burger sauce. The server put in a new order for the plain one right away. It was so good! When the check came, both burgers were on the tab. When I brought it to their attention they brought back the revised bill and took off both of the burgers. This is the kind of service that really makes someone want to come back again. We left feeling full and happy. We will definitely be back again soon! read more

Water Tower Kitchen is a cozy place and a sports bar. It also has a second floor but no one goes there probably because either they close off that section or no one wants to dine up there. I really like the atmosphere but it kinda looks confusing because it looks more modern at ground level while the ceilings look more industrial. I really like the taste of the fries and especially when they served them in a small basket. From the Chicken Sando, there's more taste from the bread and the coleslaw than the chicken itself. It seemed that they use chicken breast for it due to its lack of taste, but better seasonings can make the sandwich stand out more. From the menu, they seem to have limited options, but I would try other food to give myself another chance. read more

How I have never updated my review until today?! I will never know. This is our go to brunch spot. The vibes are on point. They always have the best games on. Music is amazing and upbeat- may be sensitive to those who don't like the louder music. Food and drinks are always on point.
