I've been here twice and Irvin the last 6 months. The ladies serving at the bar are always fast, nice, and have wonderful personalities. Beyond that the Mexican food served is remarkably delicious. I had street tacos the first visit and a couple of weeks ago, I had the chicken burrito bowl. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was super tender and cilantro lime rice was on point. Both times, I was at tables that had been reserved. Makes it nice so you don't have to go through the headache of hoping to find a place to sit. The servers are also really good about coming around and picking up empty glasses. Keeping the place clean and organized! read more

December 4, 2025 I stopped in for a refreshment a bite to eat, but ABVE the basics just closed. So I went next door to Ristotante de Maria and ordered meatballs to go. Had a fun time with friends watching people ride the mechanical bull! Service at the bar was great and the smash burgers were a big hit! So tasty! Small-ish bar on the border of Campbell/San Jose. It's a great space with AMAZING food in the back corner. I came on a Friday after 6 so I was not able to enjoy happy hour offers, but that does look like it's available 3-6 M-F. Despite being pretty full, the bartender quickly poured us a couple of beers and we were ere able to find a good spot. I envision this being the perfect place to watch a major sporting event or to plan a happy hour event. read more

I love Stevie's bar and grill! Such a cute spot with pool tables and darts. DJ on Friday and Saturday, and karaoke on Sunday. Great food from a take out window inside. Easy parking. It gets really popular, but the bartenders go as quick as they can. I've gone back many times and always have a great time. read more

Woah. This is a spot So much going on for a Thursday night. Was pretty crowded when we came in around 6:30 ish. Ordered carne asada cali tacos and had a cosmic cider ( my favorite drink) there was so much going on. A singles night happening in one corner, karaoke in the other, people playing pool. Just super lively Took around 15-20 minutes for the food which makes sense because it was crowded. My cosmic cider was on point as usual. But the star of the show my friends, was the taco. Who knew this random bar features one of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. Carne asada tacos with homemade tortillas that have fried cheese melted to the tortilla. Comes with guac, cotija cheese, side of guac and chips. And holy **** it's so good. Like stupidly good. And I eat a far amount of Mexican food I'm not gonna be all "I know ball" over here. But it's f'in good. Go get urself a drink, get urself a taco, park at the pool table and have a sick time 10/10 read more

Kind bartenders, relaxing ambiance, dive bar with a good crowd, billiards, darts and good selection of beers and spirits. Monthly events, several televisions for sports. We really enjoy when Chip DeVille is dj'ing here. The restrooms are unisex, usually decently clean and there is a small patio as well as an area to stand out front. I haven't tried the food myself but hear nothing but great things based on the reviews and photos. read more

Stevies is a hidden gem for those looking for a neighborhood bar minus the typical Chad's & Tiffany's. Good low key vibe, the bartenders are skilled and the atmosphere is good for chilling with friends. If you are looking to play 8-ball, they have a few nice tables. Wanna watch the game? They have multiple TV's where you can watch your favorite local team...go Sharks! Plus they have a channel of people doing rad extreme sports either well or Jackass level Wipeout! Found this place on Google when visiting from out of town. Wanted a place to get some food and watch the morning NFL games and this place exceeded our expectations. Great food, great atmosphere and very clean. The service here was very friendly. They look like they have a great lineup of events here, just wish we lived closer so we could come more often. Chill dive. Despite the IPA crafty stuff they have bottles of Blue Moon in the back somewhere. Kudos to Shai for serving me the watery domestics without treating me like a guy who asked for ketchup at a sushi restaurant. By the way, I came in after a dress-up day from work wearing a Hawaiian shirt, swim trunks, Birkenstocks, and pineapple socks and nobody batted an eye. read more

Local yocal!! Let's have a beer on a hot day in the strip where my parents owned a deli in the 70's. Don't get too cocky in here as the bar tender may pull out a bat and tenderize your head! wanted to share an unfortunate experience my friends and I had at Stevie's on Halloween. While waiting in line for the restroom. We were second in line and a woman approached and asked to cut ahead, stating that she was the manager. I politely explained that we had been waiting for a while, but she insisted, saying, "I work here, I'm the manager," and proceeded to cut in front of everyone. When I stood my ground, she responded with, "I'm the manager, so I have the authority to kick you out," which I found both surprising and unprofessional. Despite this, she still cut the line. Several guests nearby even approached me afterward to say they found her behavior rude and not reflective of what they'd expect from a manager. One of her friends, who was sitting near by over heard these conversations and, also told me, "She's the manager, she can do whatever she wants." I explained that I manage a hotel myself and would never treat guests that way or use my position to assert authority over anyone. I'm sharing this because I believe managers should set the tone for professionalism and I truly hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests. I also want to state that she gave a sense of urgency to cut the line to use the restroom so she could get back to work but the rest of the night I saw her socializing with her friends on and off. read more

I felt the need to give an update after many years! There is a decent wine selection and the vibe is neighborhood friendly. The jukebox is fun, and there are plenty of pool tables and seating. The best addition is amazing food from "Gigis Kitchen," located inside Stevie's. We had a burger and chicken fingers, and they were beyond the usual bar kitchen food. read more

Came here because we wanted to it at the restaurant that's inside "ABVE the basics" Since my hair appointment got pushed back, I had more time to kill, so my partner and I decided to grab a couple beers to have with our food. I don't remember the names of our drinks, I just remember mine was a guava fruit sour (which I recommend btw) and my partner got a watermelon sour that came in a can. That beer was light on the flavor but still good. Tbh what really sold me on the place was the music that was playing because it felt like they were playing straight off my spotify....and the fact that they played Taylor Swift was a win LOL read more

Long time client, went in last wk for a cold beer on Friday. I ordered beer at the Bar, and paid with card. I got charged an extra $1.50 service fee for using my debit card. Cmon, this is ridiculous and the bartender never asked me to use Cash nor told me that its extra fee to use a card. After all your long time loyal customers supported you during the Covid shutdown, and this is how you re-pay us? Its a cash world now at Stevies' so leave your card at home. read more

I was visiting my friend for their birthday and this was my first time in town. We were having a great time at stevie's until the manager, named Lala, cut us in line for the bathroom in an extremely rude way. If she told us "hey i'm super busy I need to use the bathroom can I please cut you?" I 100% would've had no problem. She tried to assert power by saying she was going to kick us out if we didn't let her cut us, which I thought was super immature and childish. We got nasty looks the rest of the night and our whole party was very uncomfortable, especially because her friends kept approaching us. We just wanted to have a nice night to celebrate our friend (who by the way celebrated her last birthday at stevie's and had an amazing time) but we ended up leaving because the environment was so tense and uncomfortable. The vibe was very mean girl high school bully. I was shocked that a manager would ever treat customers this way, and I hope action is taken so my friends and I can comfortably come back. read more

Stevie's is the quintessential neighborhood bar. Great people, great drinks and great service. Nick and the team do a great job behind the bar. They have a great selection of craft beers both in cans and on tap. Full inquire selection as well. Lots of TVs all around so you don't miss any of the games. The grill is closed until Feb 10th but I am excited to see the new kitchen menu. Always enjoyed the food before and now it going to better. Cant wait!!!! Check it out. Stevie's has been around for 24 years, originally owned by Stevie (Stephanie) for the first 9 years. It was then taken over by her daughter (Tracy) 15 years ago ,who started remolding and updating the bar to include 30 Taps for Beers/Local Craft Beers & Ciders and a larger selection of Whiskeys. There are 11 flat screen TV's. We have 2 Pool Tables, 2 Online Dart Boards and a Internet Jukebox.

Every time we come here we get a pompous, wanna-be-hipster bartender who gives the impression we're "bothering" him. I've sat at the bar with an empty glass while the bartender laughs around with his friends sitting at the other end of the bar. I've also sat at the bar with an empty glass while the bartender heads outside to have a smoke. What happened to customer service?? What happened to friendly banter?? Does the cheeseburger justify its cost? Indeed. The sauce has a strong, tantalizing bite that will have you daydreaming about this two-handed dish. I adore the onion and cheese topping on this hearty sandwich, and the pretzel bread is the ideal vehicle. I can understand why this is among San Jose's best burgers. We ate there on a Saturday evening with our kids and a good friend of mine and expected the crowd to get a little unruly after 9 pm like most sports bars. We planned on staying till 9; we left at 8. The food was average at best and it was hard to get service. A huge, unruly group was sucking up all the staff's time and the ruckus they were causing gave me a headache! I went on a Sunday afternoon post-church, and it was pretty slammed lots of kids and football fans. I actually had to ask someone to wipe down a table for us, so definitely a "help yourself" kind of vibe. My friend and I had a bit of a communication breakdown. I was thinking a light salad; he was thinking beer and pizza. Since they don't do wine by the glass, I ended up with a $17 mini bottle. It was okay, but $17 for a single-serve is a stretch, not exactly a wine lover's paradise. The food was a mixed bag. The pizza was definitely the star; you can tell it's made with love and not some big-box chain stuff. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was pretty bland. I didn't mind it, but my friend was not impressed. Between the wine and the lack of listening on his part, even with my coupon, the bill hit $71 for a pizza, a salad, and a tiny bottle of wine. I miss the days when a casual lunch didn't hurt the wallet so much! Still, the decor is cool and it's a solid spot for a group hangout.

A handsome building with three distinct areas to settle in, it's easy to find comfort here. The choice mix-tape music with ample offerings from the 80s and 90s especially, help set the mood. And though this is an English pub, the music is not confined to the U.K. The beer selection is great - and international, as well. The Guiness menu on the wall is helpful, but there's even more to explore. Tumer Pils, Stella, et al. And there is a good whiskey menu, too. Trials is also great for food. I recently enjoyed their Pub Burger, which is a hearty plate of 1/2 lb. burger, with bacon, cheese, and the usual veggie accompaniment. The 'chips' are good and plentiful, but I have now tried their beer-battered onion rings -- and those are wonderful. Perfectly crunchy, not greasy, and just salty enough. If you do opt for the salad with any of your dishes, it's deep green and crafted with care. The side salad here is no afterthought. The Shepard's Pie looks great, and apparently is (though my dining companion failed to offer me a bite). Previously, I had enjoyed the falafel plate because sometimes, you just want falafel. Also previously, I tasted the chicken curry dish (hearty and delicious). The Mac n Cheese bites got high marks at our table, though I did not partake. The sausage rolls - classic pub fare - were very good on my first trip here. The cold water is refreshing and welcome. And the Tumer Pils hit the spot. It's all good here. Special mention for Thomas, one of the gents here. Super-likable, with a sly sense of humor, Thomas is a major asset at Trials Pub. Parking is easy -- or just ride-share -- just in case.
