    SUNSET BOULEVARD BURGER
    Diane W.

I had lunch here, with my friend after shopping at the Westgate Shopping Center. The restaurant is in front of the mall and shares a parking lot with it as well. When we walked in, the place was busy. The outdoor seating area was all full on one side and empty on the other. We let them know we wanted to sit inside at a booth. They accommodated us and seated us right away. It's very large very spacious inside with a large amount of seating. There is even a private area for large groups. There is a full bar area with plenty of seating too. We were brought ice water and menus. They offer a variety of American comfort foods and some Greek dishes. The menu we were looking at offered breakfast and lunch. There is a separate menu for dinner as well as a happy hour menu. I ordered the Sunset Boulevard Burger. This burger came with avocado, bacon, Jack & cheddar cheese on sourdough bread. I chose a salad for my side. My friend ordered the Code Bleu Burger. This burger came with bleu cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce and onion rings in it. She chose sweet potato fries for her side. There was an upcharge of $1.95 for the sweet potato fries. For our drinks, my friend got a Diet Pepsi and I ordered an iced tea. Our food came out quickly. The burgers were both delicious. They prepared mine a perfect medium rare and made my friend's burger medium well, as was requested. My burger was so flavorful and juicy. They had all the fixings on the side. My side salad was very good but I didn't care for the dressing. Our kind server brought me a few other dressings for me to try and I ended up using the herbed vinaigrette. My friend loved her burger, especially the bleu cheese. Her sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. The portion sizes were huge. We could only eat half of our meal, because it was so big. Service was excellent. Our sever checked on us several times and refilled our drinks without us having to ask. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try their breakfast, next time.

My wife, oldest son and I have eaten at Jack's twice in the past few weeks with some of my family members. Since Jack's at Westgate is close to their homes, it made sense to go there. Their menu is diverse and offers many options for lunch or breakfast. They don't skimp on their portions and their service is quick and their staff are friendly. Our first visit, my wife and oldest son ordered breakfast. My wife ordered the chili cheese omelette, hash browns and toast. Our son had the Carnivore (all meat) omelette, hash browns and toast. I ordered the Spaghetti and Clams. This most recent visit, my wife and son both ordered a Classic burger, cheddar cheese and fries. I enjoyed the fish-n-chips that came with tartar sauce, Cole slaw and fries. All the food was really good and filling. Everyone enjoyed the burgers and they are good-sized too. My fish-n-chips were delish. The fish was cooked just right, the Cole slaw was tasty and the fries were nice and crispy. The service was very good and the staff were friendly. They came around often to check on us and refilled our beverages, as well. The noise level was low, so we could enjoy our conversations. A solid place to enjoy a meal. Parking is also easy.

Stop by Jacks after finishing up the Nation Night Run at PayPal on a Saturday night and surprisingly wasn't busy at all. We were seated immediately, but there was a bit of wait for a server. After we order our food the starters came out pretty quick. For the starters we ordered hot wings and Asian wings. Hot wings were flavorful and had just the right amount of sauce. Asian wings sauce was on point and not over powering. Our entrees did take a bit of time to come out. Our server Ronnie was great, nice and friendly. He checked up on us consistently and kept refilling our water without asking. The main entrée Shrimp scampi: My daughter ordered this and it was ok. Surprised it didn't come with any side like bread. Dish could used a bit more flavor and the shrimp weren't peeled Double Smah Burger: My son orders this and he loved it. The Mac or smash sauce that came with it was really good Sunset BLVD Burger: Flavorful and stacked. Comes on a toasted sourdough bread with avocado and bacon. The garlic oregano fries were good, but just had too much lol. There's a spacious out door seating and they have a full bar with tvs to watch a game.

I have been coming here since this location opened. Always great food, clean facility, and terrific service!

Wifey and I on our FriDATE. First time at Jack's and definitely won't be our last!

I live 5 minutes away from here but never knew how AMAZING Jack's is. That is, until tonight! Wifey and I randomly came here this Friday night at 7:30PM and were HIGHLY impressed. You see, Yardhouse in Santana Row used to be our go-to spot until we realized that the wait can be overwhelming (especially during Happy Hour). When we went to Jack's, there was no wait and wifey and I were seated immediately. And speaking of Yardhouse, Jack's reminded us of our former favorite go-to spot, which is a great thing! Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious, and ambience was amazing (TV, bar, comfy booths). We opted for the calamari w/ jalapeños, tutto mare, and smash burger with garlic fries. ALL dishes were absolutely SUBLIME. We are excited to explore the rest of the menu in the very near future, including the breakfast and lunch dishes. In addition, sourdough bread was complimentary and super tasty. An easy 5/5 restaurant. Highly recommend. Kudos to Jack's for providing me and my wife an enjoyable Friday dinner experience. Cheers to many more date nights here!

    MEDITERRANEAN SAMPLER
    Kristine S.

Came here for happy hour and we were satisfied. We were seated at a spacious booth despite only being a party of 2. We got the lamb sliders and It was perfectly cooked and juicy. We added the tzatziki from the Mediterranean sampler and it just elevated the slider. My bf enjoyed the Asian wings, I didn't care for it as much as it was too sweet. I did enjoy the hot wings but it is your typical hot wings. The rest of Mediterranean sampler was great. Service was just ok. Originally asked if the sangria was white wine our server said yes and then brought us the drink. Had I known it was red I would not have gotten it as I'm not a fan of red. Happy hour is anywhere in the restaurant which was nice.

TL;DR: Relaxed eatery with accommodating staff and quick service. Food was good - nothing particularly special. Ordered: - Blackened catfish: One of the better dishes our group ordered. A bit underseasoned but the cook was perfect - Sweet potato fries: pro tip - if you ask nicely, they might be willing to add garlic to the fries :) All-in-all, a relaxed vibe where we got to enjoy each other's company. The food was alright - good, not great. Cheers, Jack's!

Very nice spot. I've been to the one in Newark, but don't remember it being this good. This place hits the spot in terms of comfort food. Drinks are actually really good and staff is really attentive. I had the tuna melt and it was great. Everyone in the party enjoyed the experience. Overall, if you want a good meal, for a fair price then this is a perfect spot for all of that.

Jack of All Trades This locally-owned chain of restaurants now boasts five locations throughout the Bay Area, with this Westgate location being its newest. Jack's is a classic American diner, but with a substantial bar program, and its menu features a big nod to the family's Greek heritage. The Good: * Reservations via the Yelp app or their website * Dog-friendly outdoor dining * Happy Hour Mon - Fri 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. * Full bar with sixteen beers on tap * Great service * Prices are very reasonable * My Lamb Burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the flavor was terrific and not gamey at all. Also, their garlic fry upgrade ($1.75) is 100% worth it if you're a vampire hunter, like myself. Just don't expect any kisses from the misses afterwards. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Meh: * Zucchini Cakes were just OK. They needed a little more zing to them to make the flavor pop, but I mean, I get it. It's zucchini. How much can you really do with it in the first place? The Ugly: * I'd prefer to see fewer macro and more locally-made microbrews. We have so many great breweries in the Bay that it's a shame for a great local spot like this not to highlight them. Conclusion: We don't always have a hankering for diners, but when we do, this will be our go-to.

This is one of our favorite sites for breakfast & brunch. The atmosphere is welcoming and seating is comfortable. It's spacious and clean inside. In general, their food is good (speaking from breakfast & brunch only) and service is decent. It sometimes gets busy during the weekend and there may be a wait

    Corned Beef Hash
    Eva L.

This review is for their breakfast. Had the Eggs Benedict and the Corned Beef Hash Breakfast plate. The Benedict has good hollandaise sauce; it's the lemony kind. Perfectly poached eggs with the jelly yolk. Asked for sourdough toast instead of hashbrown. The corned beef hash was a bit dry; it's the corned beef meat that's chopped into bits smaller than ground beef. The hashbrown was good, crispy outside. Food came out pretty quickly.

To anyone else it might look like I'm promoting for this place, but I promise I'm not. This morning I went on a hike with my sister in law and niece and we decided to treat ourself with breakfast. Today I've finally tried their breakfast and I was very happy with that decision. I had county fried steak and eggs with hash browns and their side French toast. My sister in law had some egg and hamburger dish with hash browns and instead of toast she had Swedish pancakes. My niece had their waffles with whipped cream. I was very torn between the French toast and country fried steak so when the server told us that we can sub our toast for the French toast and Swedish pancakes we were very pleased. My listen in law said the hamburger was very flavorful and done just right. My country fried steak was wonderful and savory and omg the banana French toast was to die for. My niece was happy with her waffle and juice as well. I still have yet to be disappointed by this place. It's big and well decorated, they have a beautiful outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. It's also cool that they sell their own coffee. If you're looking for a good lunch or breakfast spot to go to and you're near westgate mall, I'd say this place is a definite go to.

When walking, we missed the restaurant initially because this place is clearly, a hidden gem, especially being hidden along the nightclub strip. We were blown away by the curated vibes. From the thoughtful decor to The Office being projected on the wall. It felt hip, fresh and refined. We decided to craft our own drinks - Arnold Palmers, his favorite. But they only had sparkling lemonade, which actually made it even better. We shared a salad that had some cooked pears and squash alongside the greens, walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese. I do feel like the cooked sweet elements overpowered the salad with their sweetness and textures a bit. Wondering if a refreshing pear for crunch or more dressing could have brightened it up and provided a salty, sweet balance. I ordered the Short Ribs with a parsnip purée and roasted carrots and it did not disappoint. Everything paired beautifully together, perfectly salted and cooked. I finished the entire plate. This is one of the breakfast places in Downtown San Jose that you do NOT want to miss!…read more I stumbled upon this place after the Yelp app recommended me to try -- so you know I had to give it a try. Upon entering, I loved how spacious the place was, especially with the variety of foods they had: egg sandwiches, matcha lattes, coffee, and lots more. I was fortunate enough to try their egg drop in a jar alongside bacon and cheese, and their matcha latte. Both were very delicious and had a very natural taste to them :) They had self-order kiosks but at the same time, their hospitality and customer service was on par. They were very accommodating with regards to dietary restrictions (especially when it came to the milk selections for lattes, matcha was no different). I will definitely be coming back to this place to try more! (Hint hint: I may also try their other location as well -- that to.be saved for another time)

We were seated quickly which was nice, but overall the experience was diminished by the stressed out bartender. Definitely needs to take a deep breath and lock in or find another line of work. His choice of body language when interacting with his own coworkers when trying to communicate was disrespectful in and of itself, rolling his eyes and giving passive aggressive remarks, almost resemblant of teenage angst which you wouldn't expect coming from a grown man. At some point when receiving a ticket he dramatically threw it on the counter to help everyone at the bar side know how frustrated or overwhelmed he was. Seeing this as a customer discourages me to make requests, as it almost feels like our presence is an inconvenience to our bartender/server. The customer service experience here was terrible and my biggest recommendation to this establishment is to hire people who are willing to provide a comfortable experience to customers, as opposed to individuals who will throw man-fits for working at 11 AM.

There weren't that many people side and it was a nice evening so we opted for outside. They are located on a busy corner, so you do hear a lot of the traffic, but it wasn't terrible. The service was on point as well. Very nice servers and hosts. We started with the Ceviche, Crudo, and Watermelon Beet Salad all of which were fresh and deliciously prepared. We washed it down with cocktails: Scarlet Letter (spicy margarita) and their signature Old Fashioned--both refreshing. My wife ordered the Pole Bowl she loved it. I had a bite and realized I should've ordered it as well since she didn't want to share more. I wasn't mad at her. I had the Bucatini. It was light and refreshing. I'm not a fan of anchovies but they were lightly used and it had a solid flavor. We finished with their dark/white chocolate cake which was good even though I'm not a fan of white chocolate. Everything was great. I've bookmarked this for when we visit San Jose again.

When they first opened, the food was amazing and the portions felt generous. More recently, the portions seem to have gotten noticeably smaller while the prices have continued to go up. The food is still fine, but for what you're paying, I expect it to be better. I really want to love The Table because the atmosphere and location are great, but the food and value just aren't what they used to be. Hopefully they can get back to the quality and portions they had when they first opened.
