    LAMB BURGER
    Justin P.

Overall Experience: 6.4/10 The restaurant is in the back separated from the Westgate mall. The restaurant has a modern interior and has many TV's for what ever sport or event is happening. The tables are spaced out very nicely and is very comfy to be seated. The service was amazing, as they constantly check in and makes sure you're doing alright. The Food: I have been here a couple of times, and have taken out once but the food has always been somewhat of a let down each of the times. I've had the lamb burger, but the burger itself was cooked a too much compared to what was ordered, and it was missing a lot of seasoning. It lacked the salt, and was not super juicy. The toppings on the burger complements it nicely but wasn't anything special. The lamb burger just tasted too gamey. With it, I got a side of potato salad which I thought had great flavor and good texture. I have also taken out their breakfast burrito, but the burrito was not flavorful again. The burrito was also a lot smaller than expected, and the eggs did not have the necessary salt or seasonings, as well as the potatoes. I have also came here for breakfast and tried their omelet, which was decent, but nothing special. It had the fixings and decent in size, so I would recommend those breakfast items the most. Overall: I really like the space and where it is located, but the food has been a miss most the times I have been there which is disappointing. But if you're looking for somewhere that is comfy to sit and watch the games I would tell you this is an option to go to.

I have had breakfast and lunch here previously, and it was so good. I decided to hold my dad's family birthday dinner here. I was so disappointed in the way our steaks cane out. My son and I ordered ours "medium" and they cane out with one end cooked rare and the other skinnier end waaaaay beyond well done. The server did offer to have our steaks recooked, but everyone else was finishing up their fish(which I heard was great), so we declined. There other large parties in the restaurant tonight so it was VERY loud and difficult to hold a conversation, but that was ok. I have to say our server was amazing! Very attentive, polite and friendly. Should we try to go back and try ordering a steak a second time?

Very nice spot. I've been to the one in Newark, but don't remember it being this good. This place hits the spot in terms of comfort food. Drinks are actually really good and staff is really attentive. I had the tuna melt and it was great. Everyone in the party enjoyed the experience. Overall, if you want a good meal, for a fair price then this is a perfect spot for all of that.

This is one of our favorite sites for breakfast & brunch. The atmosphere is welcoming and seating is comfortable. It's spacious and clean inside. In general, their food is good (speaking from breakfast & brunch only) and service is decent. It sometimes gets busy during the weekend and there may be a wait

Jack of All Trades This locally-owned chain of restaurants now boasts five locations throughout the Bay Area, with this Westgate location being its newest. Jack's is a classic American diner, but with a substantial bar program, and its menu features a big nod to the family's Greek heritage. The Good: * Reservations via the Yelp app or their website * Dog-friendly outdoor dining * Happy Hour Mon - Fri 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. * Full bar with sixteen beers on tap * Great service * Prices are very reasonable * My Lamb Burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the flavor was terrific and not gamey at all. Also, their garlic fry upgrade ($1.75) is 100% worth it if you're a vampire hunter, like myself. Just don't expect any kisses from the misses afterwards. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Meh: * Zucchini Cakes were just OK. They needed a little more zing to them to make the flavor pop, but I mean, I get it. It's zucchini. How much can you really do with it in the first place? The Ugly: * I'd prefer to see fewer macro and more locally-made microbrews. We have so many great breweries in the Bay that it's a shame for a great local spot like this not to highlight them. Conclusion: We don't always have a hankering for diners, but when we do, this will be our go-to.

This review is for their breakfast. Had the Eggs Benedict and the Corned Beef Hash Breakfast plate. The Benedict has good hollandaise sauce; it's the lemony kind. Perfectly poached eggs with the jelly yolk. Asked for sourdough toast instead of hashbrown. The corned beef hash was a bit dry; it's the corned beef meat that's chopped into bits smaller than ground beef. The hashbrown was good, crispy outside. Food came out pretty quickly.

Came in on a Saturday and the wait wasn't too bad. The service could use some improvement but the food here was solid though! The Mediterranean sampler (4/5) was really great! The pita was warm and soft and the tzatziki and hummus were especially good. Personally am not a fan of lamb but I got the lamb burger (3.5/5) to try and it was fine. It's definitely not hitting the burger craving but it was cooked well. The sweet potatoes fries (5/5) were soooo good and I'd definitely get those again! The Italian Mac (4/5) was delicious too! Cheesy and the Italian sausage was flavorful. I would want to try out their other Macs in the future. I tried my bf's chicken gyro and I thought it was good. Chicken was seasoned pretty well and the sauce was tasty. Only feedback is the service could be better. They didn't provide enough utensils and napkins so we had to keep waiting for the server to get to us. The starter also took a while to arrive, and our meals did not arrive at the same time so one person had to wait way longer than the rest of the people. Everything just felt disorganized. I'd come back on a slower day and hopefully service is better then.

I wanted to update my review so I could include some photos of the food. Jacks still remains one of my favorite restaurants in San Jose because the service and food are always amazing. I am here every few weeks and the food NEVER disappoints. Choosing my meal is the worst part of my experience here because everything is so good. I also wanted to shout out Ezekiel again. He makes dining here so memorable because he is so kind and friendly. I truly cannot recommend this place enough! Not included in this review are drinks. We didn't order any tonight, but they are also great. My favorite is the pomegranate in a pear tree!

I've been to Jack's a few times with some friends. As always, the food is lovely and the customer service is great. It was busy when we came around this time, which is good to see. When I got there, my friends were already seated and were just about to order some appetizers, so it was great timing. We ended up trying the garlic fries and housemade chips. Both were wonderful. I got the sole with veggies and mashed potatoes - it was great, but did need a little more seasoning. It was enough for dinner and lunch the next day! My friends got various dishes. We also tried a couple of desserts - the berry cheesecake and tuxedo cake with a scoop of ice cream. Delicious. Jack's is a great place to catch up with some friends, family or go on a date. Everything is lively, but you can still talk to your group without yelling. While the food was great - the drinks could be improved upon. Two of our drinks (we got the same thing) tasted mostly like carbonated water (which I don't like, but my friend does) while another drink had a salt rim instead of the sugar rim advertised. Overall, I'd come back, but will probably avoid getting any of the drinks.

Amazing food ... very friendly staff . Such a nice and cozy ambience to sit and enjoy with friends and family . They also make customisations as per your request .

    ITALIAN PASTA
    Rox R.

My pasta was good. Sausage and noodles tasted homemade. Loved the spice kick. Last time we came we had the meatloaf sandwich, Italian Mac n cheese, and classic Mac n cheese. Good place , lots of choices. A crowd pleaser. Burgers were just ok but the Mac n cheese is the bomb.

    GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH
    Lisa M.

We had an excellent meal, (check out the spread.) My friend and I got the Jack salad and added avocado and grilled chicken. It's a substantial amount. We also got the pita bread with hummus and also a side of sweet potato fries. The fries and the pita bread weren't very hot (pita bread didn't taste like it was fresh out the oven like all the other times I've been here), but everything came out together at the same time, so that was good. They were slammed so we were lucky to get in and I recommend to get a reservation. They have a lot of nice comfy booths, which I love. It's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of overly crowded downtown Campbell or Willow Glen. I need to start venturing out into this direction. Esquivel (sp.?) was our waiter and he was very attentive and very nice. It's refreshing to have a good old-fashioned service. He apologized when he came to refill our waters, which was appreciated. Although we did understand again, they were super busy on a Friday evening.

    French Dip and Fries
    Jeanette K.

After seeing this in the neighborhood for so long, we finally had the chance to try and we're so glad we did. The French dip is amazing. It's such a rare menu item for most restaurants nowadays that we were so glad it was delicious. The shrimp scampi pasta was okay, and it was probably more of a personal preference than the restaurant's fault (I'm a little sensitive to oily food and this dish seemed to have a bit more than I'm used to with shrimp scampi pasta). This definitely doesn't change that we want to come back for the French Dip and to try some other things on the menu. We were also wanting to try some of the happy hour appetizers with some more people in our party. Service was decent! All staff members were quite attentive, and even a manager had willingly checked in with us which we appreciated. Inside was very modern and cozy, though definitely appreciated the casual vibes still. We'll be back :)

There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.

When walking, we missed the restaurant initially because this place is clearly, a hidden gem, especially being hidden along the nightclub strip. We were blown away by the curated vibes. From the thoughtful decor to The Office being projected on the wall. It felt hip, fresh and refined. We decided to craft our own drinks - Arnold Palmers, his favorite. But they only had sparkling lemonade, which actually made it even better. We shared a salad that had some cooked pears and squash alongside the greens, walnuts, cranberries and blue cheese. I do feel like the cooked sweet elements overpowered the salad with their sweetness and textures a bit. Wondering if a refreshing pear for crunch or more dressing could have brightened it up and provided a salty, sweet balance. I ordered the Short Ribs with a parsnip purée and roasted carrots and it did not disappoint. Everything paired beautifully together, perfectly salted and cooked. I finished the entire plate. Dad got the Pork Chop and while it was overcooked, he loved the flavors happening in the dish and was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing treatment of the kale. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Overall a great experience. We would definitely come back!

The bread was soft and fresh, and everything inside tasted balanced rather than heavy or greasy. It's simple food, but done properly, which makes a big difference. Coffee was also better than I expected and worked well with the sandwich. The staff were friendly and easygoing, and even though it was fairly busy, the wait wasn't long. Overall, it's just a nice, low-key place for a casual bite. Nothing overly fancy, but definitely somewhere I'd go back to when I'm in the mood for a good sandwich and a relaxed atmosphere.

This is one of the breakfast places in Downtown San Jose that you do NOT want to miss!…read more I stumbled upon this place after the Yelp app recommended me to try -- so you know I had to give it a try. Upon entering, I loved how spacious the place was, especially with the variety of foods they had: egg sandwiches, matcha lattes, coffee, and lots more. I was fortunate enough to try their egg drop in a jar alongside bacon and cheese, and their matcha latte. Both were very delicious and had a very natural taste to them :) They had self-order kiosks but at the same time, their hospitality and customer service was on par. They were very accommodating with regards to dietary restrictions (especially when it came to the milk selections for lattes, matcha was no different). I will definitely be coming back to this place to try more! (Hint hint: I may also try their other location as well -- that to.be saved for another time)

Hey there party People…read more Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another

When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.
