Recently I was gathering my tax documents ready for my CPA but could not locate my 1099-INT from CPB. I was able to obtain a digital copy via their chat message on their mobile app but noticed the document's font was on the small side. I forwarded the digital copy to my CPA and was concerned about possibly misreading the 1099-INT so I decided to stop by CPB's Kaneohe branch. Located on the far end corner of Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center that's near Donut King and across the street from Leonard's Malasada Mobile at the corner of Windward Mall, this branch is one of CPB's 27 locations statewide. They are conveniently located in Kaneohe with ample parking and also operates 6 days a week. Plus, they are near my part time job. I walked up to the teller on a State holiday afternoon with no line and requested for a duplicate 1099-INT but it was tricky as I had changed account registration after opening my account in September 2025. The teller had to reach out to another employee for assistance. It was perhaps a matter of less than 10mins for the teller to obtain a more visible 1099-INT. I then hand delivered this to my CPA's office a few days later as the receptionist at the CPA's appreciated a more legible copy. Mission accomplished. I'm very pleased with the service so far extended to me at CPB, especially the willingness to resolve my issue and attend to my banking needs. 2026 #45

While sitting in the waiting area while he was with his client before me, I found a property online and texted it to my realtor asking about it. We toured the property that same evening, and made an offer the next day. All done within 24 hours, and all thanks to Matt, Rowena and Jay. With their guidance, we submitted an offer and even beat out a higher offer. Our offer got accepted in the following week. Some call it crazy, but I say it's all in God's perfect timing. Matt, Rowena and Jay made it happen for us. I mean it when I say we couldn't have done it without them. They went above and beyond to make sure our first home buying process went quickly (really really quickly) and smoothly. Matt sure we had all our sh*t together, and our transaction was perfect! I was super nervous that it wouldn't happen, but he reassured me that we would get through the transaction without a hitch. One of my favorite things is that he is easy to talk to and relatable. He even gave me some financial advice to alleviate my debts which made a big difference in my monthly bills. I also appreciated Matt staying late hours to meet with us after we were done with work, and not minding bringing our baby to the office. If you asked me a year ago, I would not have think it would be possible to own our own home in 2019, but yet, here we are! They were rude and condescending instead of being helpful and understanding when I had a misunderstanding of what numbers were needed for a shared branch account. I simply provided what was listed on my statement. Ive listed the same numbers before with other tellers and they have never told me I dont need the last 5 digits of the shared branch number. So how would I know? They found my account pretty quick (cant be more then 5 minutes), so not sure why their fuse was so short. I hope this is NOT how they usually treat customers, especially if they're elderly where extra help is needed.

So much for shared branching at this credit union. While my Credit union allows for other credit…read moreunion members who are with outside credit unions that participates in "Shared Branching" to do banking there, the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union only does shared branching if you have an account with this bank. How is that shared branching? I needed to just cash a payroll check or deposit it into my credit union, only to be told that I can't because I'm not a member here, but they do participate in Shared Branching with other credit unions. Doesn't make sense!

There were 4 people who needed to use the ATM in the 15 minutes that I waited.
