This is a traditional, full-service hole in the wall type Mexican restaurant offering delicious food at fair prices. You know you're at an authentic Mexican restaurant when they bring you a bowl of pickled carrots and onions along with your chips and salsa while waiting for your food. Everything here is homemade and tastes fresh and delicious!

The food is good here. They have great enchilada Swiss. German is one of the owners and he is a great server too. The ambience is cool and clean on a summer day.

Checked this place out after a hike and wow. Great service and the portions are more than fair. I had the ranchero burrito my friend had the enchiladas and both were amazing on flavor and presentation. My soda cup was never empty for long and everyone there was super nice. The salsa and chips on the house were a nice added touch. Will be coming back for the breakfast menu.

Been driving past this place on my way to the dog park until one day I decided to stop; glad I did. Tastefully decorated in a classic Mexican style, it imparts a comfortable and welcoming feel, complete with just the right kind of music to almost make you feel like you're in Mexico. I noticed the specials board on my way in and the Lobster burrito caught my eye so thought I would try it; $20 included rice and beans. The lobster was tasty and delicate and clearly the star of the show, sharing the spotlight with beans, pico de gallo, and a creamy butter sauce, with a flour tortilla holding it all together. The rice and beans accompanied the dish nicely. I paired the meal with a cold Modelo Especial, clearly authenticating the entire experience. Finally, fast, friendly service casting an exclamation point on a relaxed and enjoyable lunch, so much so that I just might return, but next time with the family!

Great service, delicious mango margarita, the tomatillo salsa is to DIE FOR and the refried beans and chips were flavorful. Don't miss this! You might , because it's tucked away but we stumbled across it by chance and did not regret it!

An average Mexican food place now that could use some better management or attention to important details. Oddly enough, with the fancy name change came a drop in quality. A step back for sure. It was La Casa Blanca before, now known as Finca Casa Blanca. We've never thought it was 5 star level, but it was worthy before after at least 3-4 times. The micheladas have been made well. On our last visit, I ordered the pork chile verde platter. I wanted the corn tortillas, but the waitress had to come back and tell me that the last corn tortillas were being used for my wife's plate of mole enchiladas. So, I was given the flour tortillas instead. It was 630 pm. The restaurant I believe was closing at 900. Why did they run out? Poor planning I would call it. Also, we both felt that most of if not all items on our plates were re-heated in the microwave. The reason we suspected this is because of some items were hotter than others on the plate. I know this because I have the same problem at home sometimes! Just a little tweaking and possibly this place could be up to par again. I will give them some time to improve and see the outcome as I don't plan on giving up on the place entirely. The service has always been very friendly and good, which makes me want to return eventually. Though I might think hard about it first.

Went here before we head to a candlelight concert at Mt Helix park. Servers were friendly. It looks like a family run place. The place looks like they have buffet available. The place is a typical hole-in-a-wall restaurant the packs a punch in flavor. I always like trying places like this because I havent been disappointed yet. I had the flautAs and it was delicious. It came with rice and beans and I inhaled it. My friend ordered the chicken suizas and she loved it as well. Will definitely come back if i am in the area

Do they have real tequila margaritas?

La Casa Blanca--now known as "Finca Casa Blanca"--- has only wine margaritas. However, they are deleicious and the restaurant has much charm. Highly recommended.

Where can I find the brunch menu?

I don't think they have ever had the brunch menu online. It is a typical Mexican brunch with lots of Mexican favorites, including soups and even bacon, sausage, salads and pancakes! They also have a lady that makes fresh corn tortillas

Gelato: believe it was a coffee one Everything has been freaking delicious, fresh, great portions, definitely a spot I visit once a week lol. The crazy calabrese was a little on the salty side but it was still pretty good. Best sandwich so far has been the spicy sicilian. The market is well sorted with lots of interesting items and fair prices. The only thing is their tall cans of craft beer. A lot of them were old or had no date on the bottom of the can and as someone who works in the beer industry let me tell you. Beer does go bad. Not in a you can't drink it kind of way but flavor declines, especially craft beer. Skunky, taste changes, aroma changes, color changes, it's just not great. I picked up a can that was dated May 2025, for craft that is OLD and not good. Not a problem for your average person but I'm just letting y'all know. Nonetheless this place is delicious, the service is great, fast, friendly. The food is overall good, the market is nice and well sorted. What I don't understand are the comments that say I been here so many times but never left a good review, suddenly they have one bad experience over something like not enough lettuce or they ran out of something and leave a bad review. GTFOH! And no I wasn't paid for this review or know anyone from this business, I just hate what yell has become

Everything was cooked well, but I guess although I like pickles, I'm not as big a fan of Mediterranean pickles. I thought maybe I'll get it without the pickles next time. However, after eating I got an unexpected headache that usually comes from ingestion of MSG. The fries were tasty... maybe there was MSG in those? Not sure. I've honestly had much better phenomenal shawarma in San Joes CA. I have yet to find a great Shawarma here in San Diego. At first, she said the order only could be done on 1 bill. And then later she compromised with 2 bills, 5 people per table. That was nice of her! I just had 2 coffees before entering so I decided to skip ordering Thai tea. But they had a large drink menu, of fruit teas and more. My friend had the lychee tea which was very large and looked super refreshing! They also came by often to top off our waters which was nice. To eat, I ordered the $16.99~, Cashew Chicken Stir Fry with White Rice. It came with onion, green onion, carrots, zucchini, bell pepper, and cashews. The carrots were beautifully cut, but a little too crunchy for me to properly enjoy in the stir fry. Everything else was delicious! I think this could definitely be shared between 2-3 people. It was a lot for me, even after a large hike. The sauce was flavorful and not overly salty. I didn't ask for any spice level, but I think I'd choose mild or medium next time. My friends ordered-- - $12.99, Dirty Fried Chicken: This had a blitz coating of lime, mint, and spices. And it was decorated with thinly sliced green onions with a side of sweet chili sauce. The chicken was hot and plump, not dry, and very much mouthwatering! Would recommend. - $14.99, Thai Grilled Chicken Salad: Grilled Chicken Breast on a bed of mixed green salad, carrots, and cucumbers with peanut dressing. It reminded me a little of chicken satay~ it smelled and looked incredible. I think I might order it next time, when I want something light and fulfilling after a hike. - $11.99, Cream Cheese Avocado Wontons (6PC): These came out piping hot and when you took a bite they were oozing. It was very creamy and when you dip into the plum sauce it's a delectable bite. A nice appetizer to share with the table. - $16.99-$19.99 (depends on what protein you get), Pad Thai: This proportion was manageable for one person. The restaurant used thin rice noodles, but it didn't clump excessively compared to other restaurants. The prices are what you'd typically see at a Pan-Asian restaurant, a few dollars more than what you'd want to spend. But these kinds of restaurants, in my opinion, are for enjoying with others. So, if you're sharing food and all that-- the price is worth it (esp with the quantity that is given). Next time, I would probably order one of their noodle dishes rather than rice. Oodles by the Noodbar has such a large and diverse menu so I would highly recommend coming in to try them out.

The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, but more customers began coming in shortly afterward. They have a spacious, garden-style patio that can accommodate larger groups, but we chose to dine indoors in their nicely decorated, modern dining area. For our meals, we ordered the Grilled Shrimp, Beef Bourguignon, Meat Loaf Sandwich, and Classic Burger. Every dish was a solid choice, and I would definitely order any of them again the next time we visit. Normally, we skip dessert when dining out, but our waiter did an excellent job describing the dessert options and convinced us to give them a try. We ordered the Chocolate Molten Cake, which is similar to a chocolate lava cake, as well as the Brown Butter Cake. The Brown Butter Cake was incredibly moist with a rich, buttery flavor and a lightly crisp exterior. Both desserts were excellent, and I'd highly recommend them. Before we left, our waiter mentioned that, as part of the restaurant's anniversary celebration, they're offering 20% off every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday through the end of August. That gives us even more incentive to come back and dine with them again. Overall, Lemon Grove Bistro was an excellent choice, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a great place to eat in the Lemon Grove area.
