What a great find on a quick trip through Augusta! We arrived around 6:30 on Tuesday night and it was packed due to a concert nearby. But even though they were slammed everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We sat at the bar for drinks and a cheese plate, which was amazing!! And then moved to a table. I had the kale salad and my husband had the truffle burger. Both of them were amazing. A word of caution. The menu seems to change periodically so don't rely on the selection online or the prices. But we still had a great time and excellently prepared food. Don't miss the cheese platters. We just ordered one cheese for the two of us which was more than enough, beautifully presented, and so good! No wonder this place was packed! read more

I struggle with this review. It's really 3.5 stars 1. We went during brunch. The menu is limited and no real drink specials like I love for brunch. So if you're looking for a good brunch spot with bottomless, this is not it. 2. The food was good. Everything we order was tasty. So no complaints on the food quality just not a lot of options. 3. Service was good, drinks were a little slow at times but I don't know if it was the bartender or the server slow to pick up. I thought the entire staff was super friendly from the time we walked in. 4. Restaurant is very clean, love the atmosphere, seems like it would be a great place for a date, it had an intimate feel about it. I wouldn't say its the best place for large groups or kids. It was extremely loud inside! 5. Price...They have charcuterie ala carte options which is absolutely overpriced! I would say, avoid it. $7 per choice of meat or cheese...five thin slices of salami? Really? , You really don't get enough of anything on the charcuterie orders. Brunch for two was $85 before a tip - yikes! Overall, I would go back, not for brunch but maybe to try the dinner menu. read more

Update! We've been here twice since my first review and got to experience brunch and dinner. I've fallen in love with their cheese plates, we tried the Red Dragon Welsh Cheddar this time. It came with assorted crackers, honey and sliced almond with a beautiful presentation (I'm sad I forgot to take a pic). The food is consistently delicious with fresh ingredients and they offered us coffee to go....you had me at coffee Finch & Fifth This restaurant is another one that has officially met my high standards and has joined the "Master List" of restaurants I will continue to frequent and recommend. Really great place for food in general, but love to go there for Sunday brunch. Food is excellent (try the bacon jam..) service isn't always great. Make sure to make a reservation as with all great restaurants they can be busy, so save your spot. read more

Probably one of the most underrated restaurants in Augusta. Shelly and the crew make sure every visit is the best visit. I love wow experiences and you get it first rate here. Brunch, the best deal in town. They do a spin on the mimosa that will make you want to sing, bloody mary's are a close chase to being top notch as well. So many great options to choose from on the menu, I've stuck to the eggs and steak thus far never disappointed. Happy hour, you can not beat craft made cocktails with top shelf liquor. Jazz and happy hour on Sunday starting at 5pm or so the best wind down to a week in Augusta as you can get. Just go and enjoy...its the only place like it in the CSRA! read more

Showed up for Sunday brunch. Wonderful service, charcuterie of smoked salmon on point. If you go on Sunday don't forget that it's Georgia and you can't have any of their delicious cocktails until 12:30. Had the chicken and waffles (which wasn't on the online menu but I'll call it a happy accident) and the 1792 bourbon drink. Not a bad way to end out the week. While driving through Augusta, we decided to stop and eat at Finch & Fifth......and I am glad we did! The food was fresh, service was excellent, and the ambience was perfect! We ordered a cheese board, and we were impressed! We also ordered the bacon jelly....which was shockingly amazing! For lunch, my wife ordered the lunch special (Huevos Rancheros with hollandaise), I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, and our son ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Everything was PERFECT! Went for Sunday brunch in late February. Exactly what we were looking for - ordering off of a menu with cocktails. This place delivered in terms of the quality of the food. However, the service was a significant challenge. Why did we still give this a 5 star vs 2 star review? The way the manager handled our complaint and how the server empathized with us will ensure a return trip. The kitchen was backed up and our food was significantly delayed. The manager handled the situation and comped some of our meals to alleviate our concerns. Service was great. They really went out of their way to ensure we were happy customers. Somehow I end up visiting Finch & Fifth when I'm in Augusta. It's located in the Surrey Center and has been around for several years. Parking is available in a shared lot. They take reservations, but I love to sit at the bar and can usually find a seat. Service was prompt at the bar and Brooke was friendly. The have a generous happy hour, and I showed up in time to partake. My bourbon-based cocktail was called a tomahawk and set me back $5.50. What a deal! I typically order charcuterie here, but opted to go for a special entree (chicken & rice) on my last visit. The chicken was a well seasoned cut of the breast, served on a skewer with a pesto sauce. So delicious! On the side was a flavorful rice, and grilled veggies. The portion size was plentiful and I really enjoyed having a chicken dish that was prepared differently. If you are in Augusta, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a shot. read more

Came here for a staff holiday party, and what a treat it was! We had a chef's choice cheese board that came with a delightful assortment of meats, cheeses and accoutrements. The duck prosciutto was melt-in-your-mouth delightful to me, but not a favorite to my coworkers. I had the catfish and grits, which was delightful and left me feeling stuffed to the gills! My vegan coworker was delighted to hear they easily substituted for vegan items on the couscous salad. Other orders were jambalaya, short ribs, and airline chicken. Everyone loved what they ordered. The pear mule was exquisite, (definitely get this!) but I got a fresh blackberry margarita that was far too strong and just tasted like mashed lime and tequila. Yuck! Still five stars, still fantastic, but this time, we actually had a meal there. Went by for their brunch a few Sundays ago and holy moley, was it ever good. I got the tomato pie, and my husband says their eggs Benedict was the best he's ever had! Also, mimosas: pretty fantastic. Good ratio of bubbly to juice. We'll be back! First visit there was for brunch. Really nice ambience. It's a pretty small, intimate place, so it seems like reservations might be a wise thing at all times (we had them, thankfully). We had a new server who forgot to put in our appetizer order and then brought us some boiled peanuts we hadn't ordered (we thought they were free and ate them -- oops, got billed for them later) and who forgot to put in an appetizer that we actually did order. But she was so sweet and caring otherwise that honestly we didn't care. A manager (owner?) came over and chatted with us, and when we told her about the forgotten app she sincerely apologized, said the app would be free of charge and brought it out to us anyway, which was really nice. Seemed like a lot of great people on staff there. Watched an employee making the cheese plates with such great care and love -- made me want one of those (will have to get one next time). We enjoyed our food and liked the bloody marys, too. It seems like a place you don't go to in a hurry -- it's more of a laid-back experience place where you engage in fun conversation. No TVs at bar, which I actually appreciate these days. Will definitely return. read more

We have eaten lunch with here several times and it is one of Augusta's hidden jewels! Great social ambiance and service. Kyndall was our server on this trip and she was really great and friendly! The service has been great every time we've gone too. We had the vidalia onion dip with wontons and amazing doesn't even begin to express how delicious it was!!! I could eaten a whole big bowl of it all by myself!! It was SOOOOO GOOD!!! The tomato pie is not exactly tomato pie but, is yummy none the less. Their salads are good and so are their fish tacos. The special today was their Mac and cheese and my husband could not stop talking about how phenomenal it was! If you just want something different and very tasty, then definitely make your way to Surrey Center and give this place a try! read more

My tacos had great flavor eapecially with the slaw but the fish was a tad under cooked. Also asked for brussel sprouts as side that were not great. This place has been on my list for a few months now, since it opened. So upset I waited this long! The restaurant is located in the space a coffee shop used to be in, and it is great. I have a dislike for all things related to chain restaurants, and this was as far as you could get. The decor is obviously something that someone sat down, thought about, and picked. I love it! Tables and chairs made by local craftsmen, it feels like there was someone picking everything from the chairs to the wine glasses. The food was good. Not great, but good. The shrimp and grits were good. It's a bit strange though--they are technically a tapas restaurant, but the items were sort of in-between. I feel like my experience with tapas restaurants is that they have these tiny plates that are priced cheaply, and only have a few bites of food on them, so you order a whole bunch of plates and everyone shares. And you order a first 'wave' of plates, then maybe try some other stuff or order more of the same stuff or whatever. This was different. Their entrees are not tiny but they weren't the standard huge american restaurant size portion either. In fact, they are just right. They are the perfect portion I am looking for when I eat dinner. I don't think I would change anything if I were them, but I don't consider this a tapas restaurant. It's just a restaurant. A good restaurant, as a matter of fact. The charcuterie board is wonderful. They have a huge selection of stuff and all of it is good. The staff are excellent. The manager comes to each table and is very friendly. Our waitress was wonderful. The best part though, was the drinks. Whoever made the drinks list is a genius. The drinks are all unique, tasty, and really are phenomenal. Overall this place is awesome, and I really hope it sticks around for a long time. I hope they keep doing everything that they are doing right. read more
