I debated about leaving a review or not but after reading through the comments, I felt it was important to inform all that Fine Jewelers is a complete rip off. I have a custom ring from a jeweler is South Florida. I don't go down there often enough, so I started taking my ring to him for basic repairs and cleaning. The more I took it the more issues I had. Fast forward to last summer. I took it in for a lost stone In my wedding band. He said that this will be the last time that he'll fix my ring but the prongs are worn down and with my diamond it's like driving a Mercedes with Toyota parts. I politely said thank you and I'll talk to my husband. Well in January I lost another diamond (well the same that I was always losing) and I took my ring back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He started to work on it and then called me and told me that he refuses to fix my ring and that I need to purchase a "jacket" for my center stone and he'll give me a great deal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Told him I needed to speak with my husband and let him know. We decided against spending $1600 for a new jacket when in fact my rings just needed some TLC. I got my ring back and contacted the original jeweler in South Florida. Last weekend I drove over 5 hrs one way to get my ring to the original jeweler. Not only did Max royally screw up my ring, he soldered my diamonds with yellow gold, he didn't replace another stone but soldered the prongs together and then even cut the channel stones! It had 3 stones missing and 7 prongs that were manipulated to cause stones to fall out! My jeweler in South Florida had it fixed and shiny in less than 3 hours and it looks as good as the day I received it! read more

AVOID THIS STORE I came to fix a very expensive Tissot watch. I paid $350 and the watch was never fixed properly. I was told there was a one year warranty on all work and went back before the warranty ended. I was told that the watch would be fixed for no charge because it was within the warranty period. I went in the same day and was fold that the watch could not be fixed. After it was repaired, I could reset the chronograph but it only went to the 9 and not the 12. Now it doesn't work at all! The owner told me to go where I bought the watch and ask for a refund but he never said anything about the money we paid him for nothing because the watch is still broken. Took my watch in to get the band repaired and was not given any quote or estimate as to when it would be ready or what it would cost. I was then called roughly a week later saying that it would cost ~$35 to have the band replaced such I thought was reasonable. Then when I got the call to pick it up I went in and found that nothing has been done to it. I informed them of this and was said it would be fixed in another week. Then I received another call saying it would cost $135 to replace the band. They went ahead and ordered the band without my approval and put the new one on. When I went to pick it up, after informing them that I did not want the new band, they at first said that they could give me the new band at $100 instead of the previous price which they said was at cost. I refused and instead of attaching the old band they gave me the two pieces separate. When asked to put the old band back on he jammed the pin in and, realizing that he could not get it to fit, went to the back of the shop and clipped the pin thus absolutely requiring a change of both pins instead of just one. I had one of the small diamonds on the side of my wedding ring fall out. In the 15 years that I've been married, this is not the first time this has happened. Every other time, the repair has been so immaculate that I haven't even been able to tell which diamond was replaced. But now, being new to the area, I was forced to find a new jeweler to do the repair. Enter Fine Jewelry and Diamonds on County Road 210. My husband took my ring in and when he returned home with it, I could instantly tell that the diamond which had been replaced was a) not the same size, b) set skew!, and c) broken!!! WHAT???!!! I personally took the ring back and was told that it would immediately be corrected at no further cost to me. So you can imagine my disappointment when they finally called me to say it was ready and I arrived to find that although they had set the diamond properly this time, YELLOW gold had been soldered in a blob on the side of my WHITE gold ring! This is the most shoddy workmanship I have ever seen. Now I have been forced to incur further expense to have the yellow gold removed at a different jeweler since I can't stomach the thought of leaving my very expensive wedding ring in the hands of Fine Jewelry and Diamonds again. He knew nothing about the value and had to call a friend who responded with eBay pricing. I then told him I was interested in a pair of diamond earrings for my wife and after negotiating he told me a price for trade of the watch plus cash, after I agreed he said he couldn't do it and to call him tomorrow.
