I went here with a box of family passed down fine jewelry, asking for appraisals, with no intentions to sell all of the pieces. The owner in here dumped everything out, shuffled through wedding bands, platinum diamond bands, expensive jewelry sets of David Yurman and John Hardy, and tennis necklace, and grossly scammed me of thousands of dollars by extreme pressure. I didn't even realize he had taken two wedding bands until I left the store and my husband went back and demanded he give them back immediately- of which he did but made me pay him back $1000 by convincing me he overpaid me. He did get away with a particular tennis necklace that had 27 diamonds on it and told me it was worth $1000 when I later found out it was worth a minimum of $4500!! At all costs, do not go here. They stole a ring from a gentleman who was just looking to see what it was made of. when he called about the misplaced ring, they demanded they didn't have it, but when mention of police involved- it magically reappears with 2 of the stones pried out and replaced with a cheap diamond than what was brought in. police will be investigating.. go at your own risk . read more

When I looked up the GIA inscription on the paper the diamond had been wrapped in, I discovered the stone was lab‑created, not natural as she was told and thought it was. Max reiterated that the diamond was real, stated it had belonged to his wife, and encouraged me to obtain another appraisal--offering to cover the cost. I obtained an independent appraisal, which confirmed that the stone was lab‑created (GIA certification engraved on the diamond) and valued between $3,500 and $5,000 on the open market. When we attempted to discuss this with Max, he declined to buy back the ring for the original purchase price--despite past verbal assurances that any item sold could be bought back for the amount paid. He stated he would only offer $5,000, although my mother paid $12,000. I am not making any legal conclusions, but I want potential customers to be aware of our experience. I debated about leaving a review or not but after reading through the comments, I felt it was important to inform all that Fine Jewelers is a complete rip off. I have a custom ring from a jeweler is South Florida. I don't go down there often enough, so I started taking my ring to him for basic repairs and cleaning. The more I took it the more issues I had. Fast forward to last summer. I took it in for a lost stone In my wedding band. He said that this will be the last time that he'll fix my ring but the prongs are worn down and with my diamond it's like driving a Mercedes with Toyota parts. I politely said thank you and I'll talk to my husband. Well in January I lost another diamond (well the same that I was always losing) and I took my ring back. He started to work on it and then called me and told me that he refuses to fix my ring and that I need to purchase a "jacket" for my center stone and he'll give me a great deal. Told him I needed to speak with my husband and let him know. We decided against spending $1600 for a new jacket when in fact my rings just needed some TLC. I got my ring back and contacted the original jeweler in South Florida. Last weekend I drove over 5 hrs one way to get my ring to the original jeweler. Not only did Max royally screw up my ring, he soldered my diamonds with yellow gold, he didn't replace another stone but soldered the prongs together and then even cut the channel stones! It had 3 stones missing and 7 prongs that were manipulated to cause stones to fall out! My jeweler in South Florida had it fixed and shiny in less than 3 hours and it looks as good as the day I received it! read more

AVOID THIS STORE I came to fix a very expensive Tissot watch. I paid $350 and the watch was never fixed properly. I was told there was a one year warranty on all work and went back before the warranty ended. I was told that the watch would be fixed for no charge because it was within the warranty period. I had to keep calling to see when my watch would be ready and was told lie after lie after lie because the owner told me he wanted to be sure the watch was fixed properly. They finally called to say the watch was ready. I went in the same day and was fold that the watch could not be fixed. After it was repaired, I could reset the chronograph but it only went to the 9 and not the 12. Now it doesn't work at all! The owner told me to go where I bought the watch and ask for a refund but he never said anything about the money we paid him for nothing because the watch is still broken. Do not trust this jeweler or entrust your sentimental jewelry items with this business. They will take your money and you will get NOTHING in return. I gave 1 star because i can't give 0. read more

I would not recommend this place if you want something done to your watch. It was my first time there last Wednesday, 1/8 to drop off 2 watches, one to take remove some links because it was big, and another one to replace the battery. I was told that they would be ready the following day. It wasn't ready the following day. Fine Jewelry and Diamonds called me Friday, 1/10 stating that the watches were ready to be picked up. I could not pick them up until today, Monday, 1/13. When I picked it up I tried the watch and realized that nothing was done to it. It was still the same size and no links were removed. The only thing that was done was the battery replacement of my other watch. I had to wait to get the links removed. I was mad and so disappointed that I had to wait again. I ended up leaving so quick that I didn't even bother to tell them that 3 links should have been removed instead of 2. If I told them to remove another link, then I would have to wait longer.
