So we were making some regular visits. Then...the pandemic. I've gone in about three times since restaurants reopened. Time #1--Had to ask the person opening my food containers to please pull up her mask. Time #2--They couldn't tell how my order came in (did I order from Door Dash, Grub Hub)...and so it wasn't ready. Person dealing with my order didn't have her mask pulled up to cover her nose. Time #3--Once more, how did I order? Was it through Door Dash? So...order isn't ready. I get asked what rice I want for my Rama Thai. The site won't let you order unless you specify but okay. I tell them I want the jasmine rice. Well, it turns out it didn't matter what I wanted because they forgot to put it in with the rest of the order. And...one person from the kitchen comes out with their mask pulled down. Not sure how this place has 4 stars. Today was my 5th order in the last month and wowwwww so good. I didn't think it was possible that with literally each meal I tried the food would get even more delicious regardless of the day or time I ordered. Usually its up then down or more of the same but the flavors from their food, lets just say their spice rack definitely isn't for decoration. Hands down some of the best thai food I've ever had. And where there impressive food still has me wishing my stomach could hold 3 times more food, their customer service skills has impressed me even more... I called in probably 5 or 6 times before I actually ordered. My first issue was uber eats was showing no courier available so I called to see what they could do. A lovely girl named Beatrice answered. She didn't care if I was calling in with my first world issue, she wasn't annoyed, she was extremely helpful, and so incredibly sweet. She let me know, they use doordash, postmates, uber eats and they deliver. Unfortunately though, I live in Jamul so only uber eats delivers. I asked her about their delivery she typed in my address, but I am 31 min away and they deliver a maximum of 20 min away (side note: they might go slightly further depending on what you order like when you order catering). So of course I was sad I wasn't going to get my food today, but her calmness and care definitely made me feel a lot less disappointed. She urged me to try uber eats in a bit and said hopefully they will accept my order soon. A half hour later I was able to order. I didn't know what I wanted though, so of course me having more first world problems, I called in a few more times to figure it out. But each time her personality and impressive customer service skills never wavered. ...I have to say as an owner of a company and a COO of another even I felt I could learn something from Beatrice today. So where this impressive food definitely is well deserving of 5 stars, I would say Beatrice alone earned them double that. Thank you again for everything because of you, I will certainly be back! Just ordered from finest Thai in El Cajon by the target .... Nasty band aid in the food... when we called to show pics and videos all they cared about was reimbursement... I reminded them we were exposed to hepatitis A&B and that we would be placing the band aid and food in the freezer. They wanted us to call door dash to get a reimbursement... we called door dash so as to Inform them that perhaps they may want to stop orders from this establishment ... door dash responded by saying they wouldn't deliver any more that night ( good job). The finest Thai owner called and said he was sorry and had new chef...I informed him we will save band aid in freezer as well as repairs it ... and that blue band aids are the food service acceptable band aids... got a thank you and hang up. Ordered off of UberEats because I was craving Thai... food came extremely fast & was hot... I got the fried spring rolls, the yellow curry chicken, the spicy noodles & the BBQ fried rice... The spring rolls were just ok. They were kind of small & bland. The sauce was watery but had a good flavor. The curry was not good. It had huge pieces of potatoes & carrots. I don't really like either so I may not be objective... the flavor of the curry was meh... it was missing something. I definitely will not order their curry again & I love curry. The spicy noodles were good. They may have been better if I added spice, but since my son acts like I'm trying to kill him if I add any flake of pepper to his food, I opted not to. The BBQ fried rice was BOMB! I would come back (or order through a delivery service) again & again just for this rice. It has a good flavor & generous amounts of meat... Located just off the Highway, next to my second home at Starbucks (37 and counting check ins?!) Is Finest Thai, and to my happiness, very worth a look into! I popped in on a Friday since stuffing my face is pretty much my only social life, to fill up my puppy belly for nappy time. A small mom and pop...literally I think mom and pop are chatting away in the kitchen, I was greeted warmly when I came in and seated. I wasn't feeling Pad Thai or curry so asked for a few thoughts on some beef dishes. I went with pot stickers, the Pad Jalapeno Beef and BBQ pork fried rice and a Thai coffee. (thank gawd I have a metabolism because each time I read my reviews It sounds like I should enter a eating contest or check my blood pressure) OK, the pot stickers started off average,7 fried pockets of minced pork, honestly nothing special but the "tangy soy sauce" I could have sucked up with straw..I think tamarind? I want a bottle. The fried rice came out steaming and done just right, fluffy, not oily and tons of BBQ pork.. Fried rice is a staple...if it is good usually the rest is too. Portion for 2. No soy or sriracha needed. I am glad I got the Pad Jalapeno Beef. I was stuck between that and their Hot Basil beef so they threw some basil on it for me! Tangy, I got medium and it was spicy but not too hot and you could really taste the jalapeno without the extra heat, the beef was tender and lots of onions, great sauce! The Coffee was the bomb. easily one of the best Thai coffees I had, I swear they spiked it with Kahlua, strong and rich with the condensed milk. Customer service is outstanding, It was slow but the table before me was finishing up and had meticulous instructions for boxing up, and all was done with a smile..near the end of my meal and pair of ladies came it and again all requests/ additions, subtractions and alterations were warmly and enthusiastically done. These people put the customer first! Its in El Cajon, In the same lot as Target with a separate little parking area with a small strip of places. Clean, simple, and lots of specials. Price all together for enough good eats for 2: (or just my fat ass) i$28 bucks, keep in mind also that the curries and most noodles and rice are about 2 bucks less than my choices so on par with Thai most areas and they have several specials. I've been coming to this place for years now & they've always served delicious food..they still do! Throughout the years I've noticed that there has been different people as the cashier or server. Today I called in to place an order at 5:30pm and a guy answered very rudely. His tone of voice definitely said he didn't want to be there or was bored/bothered being at work. He took my order and said 15 mins & hung up immediately. I get to the place to pick up my order 20 mins later and there is a young lady by the name of, Chloe, and very polite and nicely asked me how she can help me. I let her know I'm here to pick up an order. As she is helping me, I noticed the guy who had answered my call previously was on the phone taking other orders. He was slouched over the side counter with his beanie on & then comes up from behind the cashier and rudely asks her, "how did you print this" (I believe he was referring to the receipt). Before Chloe was even able to answer, he snapped at her and said "Don't do that again just press one next time". He rolled his eyes and left to go inside the kitchen. And I could hear him raising his voice to the other workers inside demanding and ordering them around. It's the first time I've ever seen him. Not sure how long he's been working there, but he definitely needs a class in customer service & how to treat his coworkers. I really hope he's not like a team leader there because he's fucken rude. A few customers start coming through the doors to pick up their orders and this Guy tells them "it's going to be about 25-30 mins just letting you know". He then turns around without giving the customer an opportunity to say what he was going to say and goes back to the kitchen hollering orders to the workers there. I ended up getting my order 47 mins after being told by this rude guy that it would be 15. I get it, it gets busy but there's no reason for being rude to the customers & the coworkers. I really feel bad for Chloe and all the other workers who have to tolerate his shit all day every day. I hope this dude is given a refresher as to why he got hired in the first place. Ordered delivery from this place back in April for dinner. In all honesty, I'm not the biggest Thai food connoseiur, but this place is a favorite from a family member and she was craving it. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food! I ordered the Spicy Noodles with combination meat and the spice wasn't overwhelming whatsoever, but added a great compliment to the dish. There was plenty of protein spread throughout the dish as well which is something I am thankful for. All in all, I'm definitely a fan! been here once and didn't enjoy the food we had gotten which was the pad thai. the portions here are BIG for the pad thai. But what it lacked was any discernable flavor, too much tamarind and not enough of the other umami flavors. This second time we ordered through door dash not remembering the name of this place and it ended up being the same. This time we also got the crying tiger which was an unseasoned NY steak grilled with a side dipping sauce. The sauce was nothing to write home about. Spicy noodles were not even the SLIGHTEST bit spicy (and I have okay tolerance). They didn't ask what spicy level we wanted for some reason??? Tom Kah broth was tasty but the quality of ingredients in the soup left it lacking. Only reason I give it thise score is because the thai tea was really good and the pineapple fried rice was decent (like the added raisins) Over all an okay place if you are okay with very americanized thai food. I left and when I got back after 20 min they went to hand me 1 small bag of food. I was like wth. This isnt enough, and spent another $14 on white rice and another small box of food. Yummy Thai spot in El Cajon. My partner and I were running errands at the Target in the same plaza and came through for some grub. Plenty of parking in the lot and located right next to the L&L. We were greeted upon arrival and seated immediately. There was only one server in at the time we came in and she managed about four different parties easily. The place is on the smaller side, with about 10 tables. I've ordered takeout here on another occasion and it was packed--lots of people dining in and ordering to-go. The food is delicious and all the staff are always kind and warm, even when the restaurant is chaos. My go-to is their Pad See Ew with shrimp, which is one of the best ones I've had.
