I've always gotten my lash extensions from a frilly, upscale salon that cost me a fortune every two weeks. Then I received a Groupon for my birthday for a set of lashes to another place. When I pulled up to Fingers Faces and Toes, I was disappointed to see it was a nail salon. I am a pretty hopeful person so I kept up the positive attitude. I had an evening appointment and arrived a few minutes early. They take you at exactly your appointment time. The nail salon part looks pretty ordinary. It is COVID friendly. Staff is very pleasant. Time for lashes! I was led by my stylist downstairs into a backroom that was private, quiet and had a relaxing vibe. My lash expert's name was Apple and she wasted no time and got down to work. I have anxiety AND sciatica so laying in one position, with a mask for a long time can get painful and uncomfortable. (I've had problems at other lash places with this.) During this visit, I actually felt myself drifting in and out of sleep (could be because I had just worked an 8-hour day.) I was incredibly comfortable and at ease. Relaxing music played and Apple was very gentle. The whole application took an hour. Apple applied beautiful silky mink lashes. They were softer than my usual lashes and looked more natural. I loved the outcome. Apple explained that regular touch ups for 2 weeks are recommended. After 3 weeks, a whole new set is needed. My lashes stayed full, lush and very little fell out for 6 whole weeks! WOW. I was astounded! When I felt it was time for that fill in, I made an appointment. I had quite a few lashes left still but Apple took them all off and applied a fresh set. I actually prefer this method because you get a whole fresh set rather than filling with old lashes each time. I found my new lash extension place. I may just try a mani-pedi next time I am there too! read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for 10 years and today I came straight from work to get a manicure and pedicure. I am teacher in Jamaica, Queens and received an important call from one of my students parents. I never talk on the phone while I'm in the salon. However, today was one of those moments that I couldn't wait to speak to this parent. I literally was on the phone for no more than three minutes. The owner that goes by the name of "Nicole" had the audacity to tell me that I couldn't talk on the phone while in her salon. I told her that it was an urgent two minute business call. Nicole ignored what I said and insisted that I stop talking while the manicurist was doing my nails and I was talking on the phone with the parent of my student. I looked up if there is a policy or law that customers are not allow to talk on the phone in a nail salon. There is no such law in NYS that prohibits any customer in a nail salon not to use their cellphone. I am extremely disturbed by how rude, disrespectful and unprofessional Nicole was. I understand if every time I went to get my nails done I was on my phone talking for two hours straight, but a three minute call that was urgent is a bit of a dictatorship mentality. I don't think I'll be giving my money to this nasty and unprofessional dictator anymore. read more

Came by a few times to get my nails done here since it's convenient and each time I came out disappointed. The salon itself is nice and clean. Plenty of options for nail polishes and also have a variety of the new gel/polish options. I'm mostly disappointed because once again my manicure was not done professionally. The edges are crooked. The nail plate looks short and I honestly could have done the same job at home. This was my last time stopping by because of convenience. I have been going here for at least a year now out of convenience. The place is fairly clean, good color choices. But I never feel fully satisfied. I always ask for pointy nails-I even show them pics and for some reason they just never file them the shape I want. Pedicure is horrible-I had a reg pedicure for a beach vaca recently. My polish was completely chipped and a mess by day 2. While I realize I was in the water this shouldn't happen in 2 days after a professional pedicure. read more

I've been going here since I was in college (over a decade!!). The only place in town where I can always get squeezed in and come out with the best mani/pedi. They have a variety of colors in gel/regular and even powder. The owner is so sweet and all the employees also. Everyone is socially distanced, taking precaution measures and its super clean. I went yesterday after purchasing a Groupon for a full set of lashes. As I went to pay and present the Groupon, Nicole became very nasty and short. She told me that's only for new customers, 1 per person. I explained to her that I've never purchased a Groupon before(the only one I used there prior was purchased as a gift for me) and the Groupon said limit 3 per person. She proceeded to argue with me and tell me there was a sign downstairs that says 1 per person, which is of no help if you've already purchased the Groupon. I explained how Groupon won't refund me my money now and it was unfair because her ad was misleading and she told me "that's not my problem", very unprofessional and rude. I told her she should put that on the Groupon and she said they wouldn't let her. Well guess what, I went on Groupon this morning and IT'S CHANGED to limit 1 per person. I've gone to this nail salon for years. At first they gave me great service, taking care of my every need. Over the years they have deteriorated immensely. They always give me someone who is inexperienced or new. I just went to get my graduation nails done, and I didn't have much time so I wanted a regular manicure, nothing special. First of all, I had to get waxed so when I went in the back the women obviously had no idea how to use the wax, and it was sticking everywhere. I basically had to guide her through it. Then, for my nails I asked for square. They gave me nails that are all different shapes. When I asked her not to cut my cuticles she ignored me and continued doing it anyway. She then proceeded to put layers of nail polish on, without letting it dry so now it is streaky and transparent. As soon as she was done she got up and left, leaving me sitting alone with wet nails. The cuticle beds are covered in polish and she didn't even bother to take it out. You would think after all of these years Finger Faces and Toes would have some respect towards its customers. Went there for eyelash extensions, very relaxing. I almost always fall alseep laying there. THE BEST EYELASH EXTENSIONS i have had to date. They dont krazy glue it to your regular lashes, so when they fall out it feels like a natural lash. They also use single lashes, not the pairs of 4 which ends up looking like you can fan the room when you blink. The reason Im giving it 3 stars is because, as wonderful as these eyelashes are, she puts maybe about 50 lashes per eye..but they start shedding every morning. I lost about 7 per eye, and I had it placed on Friday. I tried sleeping on my back, and not wearing any make up. Also, this last time I went. I had a groupon. I dont know if its because of the major influx of people getting it done, but I woke up with a swollen irritated eye. Its day 2 and the eye is still swollen. Not red, no drainage just swollen. I would definitely give this place 5 stars had it not been for those two issues. I would also come back for a filling had it not been so expensive, or had it last longer. Last time I went there it pretty much all fell out except for 5 per eye in a week. Not worth the mucho dinero it costs to get it done. I had excellent customer care when I was there. They place a nice heavy blanket on you. Protect your bottom lashes from sticking to the top. Play some soothing classical elevator music. Its truly relaxing. Its unfortunate theyve received so many bad reviews. Ive been to a few hole in the wall places, and this isnt one of them. read more

I can't speak for the Faces, but my Fingers and Toes were very upset with me after my mani/pedi there. I can't say I blame them; the technicians literally glopped a bunch of polish on each nail and - this is the best part - they *skipped* my little toes! My pinky toes curl down a bit so the nail is not fully visible without a little bit of work. And by work, I mean lifting the toe and, um, looking at it. But I guess the technician felt that because most people can't see it right away, why should she bother? Heck, maybe *I* wouldn't see it! read more

Used to go here frequently until the last time I went in they hired a new lady to do pedicures she started doing my pedicure and kept asking what was next and I'm the client Next you know they spray antiseptic on your feet after cleaning she USED mr scrubbing bubbles on me!!!! It was burning and she still didn't think she did anything wrong I told her right away to call the manager manager came and redid my pedicure but still ridiculous my heels were burning next few days because I have cuts and who would think she would spray a bleach product that cleans the pedicure tubs not to be used on my feet! Not only they cut my daughter's thumb, they rushed them out and did a terrible job on their nails. After the guy at the front counter stared at my feet for a few minutes he said yes he'll do it and rushed me to pick a color. The same man did my pedicure and I swear it was the first time he has ever touched a foot. He had such an unsteady hand and barely knew how to hold the cuticle cutter!! I was disappointed with the UV gel manicure since it dried too hard and thick in an unflattering way. As my nails grew a week later, the gel cracked with a piece of my nail underneath. I am in town from Los Angeles and just had my second amazing experience! This kind of basic pedicure would cost an arm and a leg in LA! My first experience was a walk in back in June when I was visiting family who live in the area. I was helped very quickly, was treated very kindly and the gel manicure was beautifully done, affordable and lasted. Today I called and asked if I could come in 15 minutes, they were very kind for such a last minute call. They took my name and I showed up exactly as promised. I was helped right away, and apologized to this gal because I hadn't had a pedicure in SO long and I knew I'd be work. She was super understanding and helpful. I sat in the massage chair which was amazing and relaxed while she exfoliated, gave me a long leg and foot massage with lotion, a stone massage and then while my nails were drying, a neck and shoulder rub! Mind you, the pedicure was expertly done and was super relaxing and my toes are painted to perfection. The kicker here - IT WAS ONLY $20. I will come to this nail salon every time I'm visiting family. I can't wait to see the renovation and I can't wait to come back! read more

I had individual eyelash extensions done here for an event and they did a beautiful job. I must say the best eyelash extensions I've ever had done. They lasted for 3 weeks with normal care. I can't speak to the nail and foot services, however, I do not think I will try it after the reviews I have read. Very happy with the eyelashes though. read more

Horrible customer service. I have been getting my nails done for years now and I usually pay 30-40 dollars for Beautiful nails and am very happy and I tip well. When I get my nails done and I am paying and I am very kind and understanding I expect my nails to be nice. My nails were horrible I had to sit in the nail salon to have them redone because they looked like chunky glue on nails from Claire's. I sat there for 3 hours yesterday.They charged me 80 dollars for the service made me sit for an extra hour to have them fixed and two broke the next day. I do not recommend coming here to be overcharged for a service when all they care about is taking your money. If you are going to charge up the ass atleast make it top notch service. Quality is important and there are much better quality service salons you can go to which are close in the area and you pay half the price for it. Very disappointed.
