Went there last night (Saturday night). The place was hopping and much bigger than I expected. We sat at the bar was was really surprised at how good the food was. Hubby had shepherds pie one of the house specialty and he raved about it. I had Cobb salad it was really good one of the best Cobb salads I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was something else, seemed like there were a lot of regulars there. They had a fantastic band which we enjoyed thoroughly. I'm looking forward to going back to try some else. As an Irish New Yorker, I passed by Finley's so many times and finally made my way in here the other day. The decor is traditionally Irish and so is the menu. Great tap selection of beer (see pics) and great liquor selection as well. My boyfriend and I were real hungry and looking to get a taste of the Irish Classics. I ordered corn beef on rye and their Shepherd's Pie Loaded Potato Skins, along with a side of onion rings. I purposely ordered the Corn Beef on rye and not a Reuben because I didn't want the 1,000 Island dressing. Even though, I did NOT order the Reuben we got it anyway. No worries, I told the bartender. However, I have to say I do not believe it was made on Rye bread. It seemed more like white bread and the corn beef although thinly sliced was still fatty. For me the Shepherd's Pie Loaded Potato Skins stole the show. They were served with the most delicious rich Guinness Gravy! This gravy pretty much ended up on everything. I will definitely be back to try the regular Shepherd's Pie. Finley's prices are right on! The Reuben was $8.25, Bud Light drafts were only $1.50, Guinness $4.75 and The Shepherd's Pie Loaded Potato Skins $8.25. The service was great, the customers friendly and the over all vibe of the place is relaxed and welcoming. I look forward to returning to enjoy some of their live music. Good food, (usually, except for the experience detailed below.) NOT GOOD service. The servers aren't friendly or attentive and act as if they could care less if you're there or not. Even when the place isn't busy you have to flag them down to get service. Last time I was there, a gentlemen found a finger-length piece of plastic in his meal! When he politely brought this to the bartender's attention, (the one with long blond hair at the bar on the north side of the restaurant) she just looked at him blankly and walked away-no apology nor any effort whatsoever to make it right. Any server worth their salt would have at least offered an apology and a new meal. In summary, if you want good, friendly "service," I'd suggest going elsewhere. read more

They have a wide selection of other great dishes too , Shepard's pie, corned beef , bangers and mash even liver & onions. If your not into that they offer wraps , meatloaf, pulled pork. I felt sad and duped. We've been enjoying their fantastic fish & chips for a long time, but things were different yesterday. When server came back to check on us I asked what kind of fish they were using today. She said it was haddock. I'm from New England! Don't try to pass off tilapia [or similar] as haddock or cod to people who were raised on it! Strongly recommend you NOT go to this restaurant. The manager is extremely rude and disrespectful. A member of our group witnessed him screaming at a long time regular for trivia night. My husband and I were in the mood for fish and chips. We opted to go Irish since I am Irish and know a good fish and chips. We called ahead on account of a Saturday evening and asked about reservations being made. I was told there was no need to make a reservation and to come any time. We arrived to the restaurant, which is more a reinvented bar with some low quality tables and chairs/booths. We were told to seat ourselves anywhere that is free. My husband walked around and looked and there were eight open tables but all had reserved signs on them. A man came over and asked us if we were seating or leaving. He then reiterated to go to the table of our choice. My husband explained there was not an open seat in the place, except the reserved tables. We waited for the next open table and then after the table was bussed, sat down there. We were brought ice water promptly and after 10 minutes a waitress arrived to take our order. I asked about the black 'n tan onion rings which she told me were frozen from a food company and not made fresh. I asked about the shepherd's pie which is also frozen not fresh. As sad as it made me, she also said the fried fish and fries were frozen from a food company box. We live in Clearwater. We live less than 4 miles from fresh fish (endless supply). You served frozen pre-fab fish at an Irish Pub? That's almost a moment when you expect Robert Irvine and 'Restaurant Impossible' to pop out and say what is wrong here? We regrettedly ordered the fish and chips since we had waited and this was what we were craving. The fish was, well like a Denny's or IHOP fish quality. Not at all at the level of the word Irish, no flavor, no seasoning, batter was thick with grease. Also, no mushy peas...instead bland and dry coleslaw was served. The waitress never came back to check on our order or the quality of the food. Also, the man, who I presume was the owner or manager, had an offensive face covering on that was like a flappy skirt over his mouth that say 'COVID-19 made in China' in bold white print on black material. It couldn't have been made to spread anything more than hate symbolism and anti-masking agenda. Not Irish. Not friendly. Not fun pub atmosphere (not to mention they had Tampa Bays #1 country music group playing later in the night????) no Celtic or Irish music. No Irish anything -except the name. No repeat for us and I'd steer clear of the restaurant if fresh or homemade is on the agenda. read more

This place is the worst. It took over 45 minutes to get an order of wings, they ran out of flatbreads and wraps. Slow as hell. I will never go there again and will tell my friends and family the same. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Finley's was another great find thanks to Yelp and my buddy Jerry G. I have been driving past this plaza for the last 11 years on the way to work and never really noticed Finley's. If I had noticed them, I wouldn't expect the amazing interior based on the outside look. The outside decor of Finley's looks like any typical corner cafe or plaza restaurant. Once you walk inside, you forget that you are in a plaza. The bar is gorgeous and nice and dark. Attached to the bar area is a dining area with booths and tables. There are t.v.'s everywhere to catch your favorite games. It is a very laid back and inviting atmosphere. We ordered the Irish Potat'O Skins to start our meal. We ordered them the original way, but you can sub out the bacon for chili or shepherd's pie filling which is awesome. The best part of these potato skins was the Guinness gravy that was served with them. Who would have thought to dip bacon potato skins into gravy? Certainly not I , but I can tell you that I will from this point on always wish that I had a side of that gravy to go with my potato skins at any restaurant. I had a Cajun Dip and my Husband had a Guinness Banger Hoagie for our meals and we ordered tater tots to split for a side. The sandwiches were amazing. They had lots of flavor, melted cheese and something to dip them in. Score. I think I actually liked my Husband's Banger Hoagie (which came with gravy) even better than my Cajun Dip. I would order both of them again. The tater tots were nice and crisp with the perfect amount of salt. Our one complaint about this pub is the beer selection. While we do like Smithwick's, they were out of it and several of their 13 beers that they keep on tap. While we can be satisfied enough with a Black and Tan, we wish that they had a larger selection. They do have wine, liquor and mixed drinks as well...so that is a plus. Overall, great service, great food and an awesome environment. We will definitely be returning and spending more time at Finley's. Next up: Fish and Chips. read more

This is super close to my house so it's my go to place when I don't feel like cooking. It's a friendly atmosphere and the food is great. Never disappoints! My favorite dishes are the prime rib salad, Maggie's chicken, drunken chicken, the beef tips appetizer and the Reuben egg rolls! There's some kind of entertainment just about every night of the week. My husband ordered 12 hot wings and 6 teriyaki wings and Finley's gave us 18 hot wings, no teriyaki. When I've ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger, they'll forget the Swiss cheese; yes, I am serious. I've ordered onions on my burgers, too, and I'll get home and no onions. Came here because of yelp reviews....was not disappointed. ..it's trivia night and very very busy....bartender very pleasant and made me a sangria not on menu but pulled it together for me....nice touch! Got reuben rolls for app they were good...but the thousand island had way to much sweet relish...only complaint.... What I do want to mention is this joint is clean.....packed house and bathroom was spotless. ..they take pride in this place....and is totally worth giving a try or two? My sister and I decided to check this place out. Don't waste your time. The staff is rude and condescending. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink. About a half hour later we requested a menu and never received it. My sister finished her drink and wanted to order another one, but the bartender never came back. When we finally got the waitress' attention, we requested to see the manager and was told there was not manager on the premises. Moriah stated she was the senior person in charge and told us there was an emergency and someone had to leave so it was crazy busy. However, everyone else at the bar got there drinks and their food. My sister attempted to call the bar when we got home and Moriah answered the phone. Again, she said the manager was not there and there was nothing she could do. My sister returned to NY yesterday and called again today to speak with the manager, again Moriah answered the phone and again stated the manager wasn't there and my sister needs to leave this alone and stop calling. It's obvious that Moriah doesn't want the manager to find out about her rudeness to the customer. On a good note, the decor was cool, but I being Irish, will find another Irish pub to patronize! read more

Went with friends for trivia. Found the Guinness Banger Hoagie intriguing, since I love Irish Bangers & Mash. However, it came with canned beef gravy, not the right gravy for a pork sausage. I told the waitress, and she wouldn't bring me the right gravy. So I said I wanted to send it back. She told me to just eat it without the gravy. I repeated my request to send it back, and ordered the onion soup, instead. It was terrible, full of thyme, but I didn't dare tell the waitress, because she was so unpleasant. read more

Was in the mood for a nice pub atmosphere feel, and I saw this place was close to me, came on a Friday night and oh my gosh, never seen such a busy but live place, was lucky to get a stool at the bar, was greeted by a really friendly guy, had some of their top beers along with a plate of wings, which all were really good, service was fast and everyone was having a great time. We loved the place when we walked in. Great looking bar and large tv screens around the walls. However, our dining experience was a major disappointment. We ordered 6 wings in teriyaki sauce for appetizer, meatloaf and large Shepherds pie for dinner. When the food arrived to the table they only brought out the meatloaf and the wings. We could have said something but that right there ruined everything. I'm not sure how the waitress messed up the order because she asked, "would you like cheese on top of your shepherds pie?" To which I replied yes. The wings were Good. However, the meatloaf was dried and the side of gravy was awful. Extremely thick and tasted like uncooked flour(see posted video). Service was poor too. No one checked on us while we ate. Only when we were done did someone ask if we wanted another beer round to which we said no. For an establishment that prints on your bill tip suggestions of 20 and 25% I expect excellent service. Not the case on . Maybe the real cook was off Sunday evening. My wife and I stopped in at Finley's Irish Pub on our Venture down in Largo Florida. This place is a little dive bar with a lot of Irish Decor all over the walls. I really enjoyed it because all the green the Irish and the leprechauns and a beer and the Shamrocks and just everything that is very Irish. We went in there probably around 5:30 on a Thursday afternoon and they had a great great happy hour special going on. I would highly recommend you go during that time they had dollar 75 draft beers! That is an excellent price for a draft beer! I loved it they had a band plan good little classic rock old school type dude was up there singing that was cool. They had a little Golf Course outside where you can work on your pudding while you're drinking that was awesome I've never seen that before I really liked that. They had a cool-looking tour bus out there with Finley's Irish Pub out there with pictures of women and beer and Irish and leprechauns I really like that as well. I wish they had one here in Louisville the next time we're in Largo we will be stopping by Finley's I highly recommend. read more

We have been here twice now and I have to say that it has been excellent both times. The "You Peel Shrimp" was exceptional. The Greek Salad was delicious and fresh and the Grouper Fingers (which were on special) were amazing. The first time we came, we had the French Onion Soup, Prime Rib Salad and Chicken Wings, all very, very good. They have live music, great service and very nice menu selections. Came in for drinks and was pleasantly surprised with great grub. Drinks were reasonably priced, I had a mixed drink and my friend had wine (she said it was really good). I do not know if because it was so close to St. Patrick's day and this is an Irish Bar and Grill but this was a terrible experience. They had tents set up outside getting ready for St. Patrick's weekend. I guess that was more important than the paying customers inside on Wednesday night. Our order was taken quickly. It all went down hill after that! Waited over an hour an a half for food. Waitress disappeared for long periods of time. After about the first 45 minutes she comes to the table to say they had problems in the kitchen but our food would be out in another few minutes. Over 45 minutes later we decided that we where just going somewhere else. We found the waitress to tell her we weren't waiting any longer, She said the food was coming right than. And it was there in a few minutes. At least the food was good or I was so hungry I'd eaten anything. There was no "I'm sorry it took so long". When the waitress gave us the bill she left them on the table for us to open and see who's bill was who's. One person opened their bill to find cash in it. The waitress should be grateful we were honest people. All I have to say is this was a Ship Wreck. Terrible Customer Service. read more
