We went to Finney's Craft House in Santa Barbara and had such a fun dinner! The vibe was energetic and lively, and our waitress was great and super attentive. We clearly came hungry We ordered the poke nachos, avocado egg rolls, spicy tuna crispy rice, yuzu buffalo boneless wings, crispy coconut shrimp, fries, and the prosciutto and arugula flatbread. Everything was fresh and really good, elevated bar food with lots to choose from. The spicy tuna crispy rice was probably my favorite! My sister LOVED the avocado egg rolls, which have mango in them and were definitely a fun twist. The only thing I probably wouldn't order again was the prosciutto and arugula flatbread. The prosciutto was sliced pretty thick and cooked almost like bacon, which just wasn't what I was expecting. And the margaritas!! We tried the skinny, guava, and spicy mango and ALL three were excellent. I also loved being able to split and pay the bill ourselves on the little kiosk at the table. No waiting around for the check, which is such a nice touch! Fun atmosphere, great service, good food and EXCELLENT margaritas. I would definitely come back! My friends were raving about this spot since we have one in our town Valencia California, but I had never been. Our server was super friendly and funny. And then give up our chairs so our table wasnt able to sit all of us anymore. Hostess was rude and short. Don't waste your time or money. Go to Goat Tree instead! The smash burger and waygu burger were ok. Decent but nothing amazing. The fish tacos were terrible. I had one grilled and one fried. Both extremely overcooked to the point it was hard to chew. Finney's is a great spot if you're looking for casual fare. My family and I drove up from LA and were starving by the time we got there. Finney's has a dog friendly patio, and there were quite a few dogs there. The food is more upscale bar food, but since we hadn't eaten since the night before we were starving. I didnt take a picture, but my mom loves onion rings, and these were perfectly fried with Parmesan sprinkled on top. I prefer them with ranch, but they come with a trio of dipping sauces that include ketchup and honey mustard. I ordered the Mahi mahi tacos, grilled, which were very good. The chips were better. My dad had the carnitas tacos which looked really good. And my mom ordered the chop salad because the woman next to us was eating it. If I could do it all over again, I'd order the chop salad because it was the best thing I ate for lunch that day. read more

We came here for dinner during our annual family vacation. There were eight of us for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our server took our orders read them back to us and after waiting for over 30 minutes we started getting our food. Not all at the same as it is usually done. Once the food was brought out by the "food server". Our server disappeared and never came to ensure that we all got our meals. We had to get someone to check on "one" meal that was never brought for my daughter. The server came to the table to ask what happened? He was informed of the missing meal and told us that he was going to check with the kitchen. Yup you guessed it took him forever to return to tell us that oops the kitchen was slammed and either they forgot to make the order or faced it to another table seriously who says that? The manager came to the table to apologize and said oh I'm sorry about that I'll take it off your tab. WTH that is the least you should do. Well let me comp you with some desserts, no thanks. It took them over 20 minutes to provide us with the bill. This was the worst experience I've ever had, management did not handle the situation properly. Also, this is my FIRST negative review ever. But I just had to vent because this really made me angry especially on a night when we were out to celebrate my husband's birthday with the family. Definitely will not be able to recommence as my experience was not a positive one. Ambiance was nice, I just think it was over crowded and not enough servers to handle the Sunday crowd!!!! Try the Nashville Hot Ranch! 10/10 delicious. I would buy a jar of this to go if they sold it. Everything you love about Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches but dip for everything. Otherwise: Great venue right downtown. Large with lots of seating and bar access. Kid friendly with high chairs, etc. All the food was delicious: fried chicken, tacos, fries, chips, etc. Lots of beer options and flights of margaritas too (try one!). Good service, reasonable prices, great ambiance. Highly recommend for families or for grabbing a beer and watching a game. But I'll say again: the Nashville Hot Ranch I haven't seen before at any restaurant, but perhaps it will take off once the word gets out with how delicious it is here! The food here never disappoints. We were seated pretty quickly for a Friday night, which was nice. It my birthday and there was no singing but I did get a nice cookie and ice cream treat with a candle to share with my husband. I tried the mixed berries mojito which was just ok. Greeted nicely and got to sit outside, which was beautiful. I asked before we sat down about my dietary concerns and they were able to describe all the options I could have. I ordered this salad and the waitress came back and said she did some more digging and found out that specific dressing had egg in it ( based on the looks) so I had to switch to another dressing which was not a big deal! Picked this place because of the Yelp reviews and Yelp didn't disappoint. I got the BBQ burger and got sweet potato fries with it. I also tried the carnitas nachos, coconut shrimp and fried cauliflower bites. My burger was cooked perfectly medium well as I had requested. The potato fries were just as I like them, crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. They also serve a chipotle sauce with the sweet potato fries that was a great pairing. The coconut shrimp was good too; the sauce they serviced with it was tasty! The cauliflower bites were decent for them being cauliflower which isn't my favorite veggie but them being deep fried and served with a buffalo sauce made them pretty good. Based on our experience here, the crowd is more college kids as it is near the campus. And loads of holiday makers. We were able to get a table before the mad rush but only stayed for a beer. We visited Finney's earlier today. It wasn't busy, however the server took a long time to greet us and take our order. My husband's food and my food arrived relatively fast, however our teen's burger arrived 15 min later than our food. For most of this time, there was no communication from the serving personnel. At one point, someone stopped by to say that the kitchen prepares our teen's order incorrectly and had to re-make it. We were advised that the teen's food will be on the house. While they took the item off our bill, nobody bothered to offer a sincere apology to our teen. Removing a charge doesn't automatically fix poor service or make a guest feel respected.
