Great ambiance and service as expected at any Hillstone establishment. Food came out promptly and was hot and fresh. You must get the chicken sandwich and a martini.

Now I get what all the gab is about this place! The drinks and food did not disappoint!! Great location relaxed ambiance inside and out. Our waitress was sweet and kind and demonstrated great service! Crisp martini was exactly how it was described and the French dip was perfect in every bite!! Will be back again!

Filet cooked perfect Med-Rare with Fries and a glass of Challen Pinot. Excellent pairing!

First time in. Classy bar with two and four seater booths around the outside. Not a big place but they do have additional seating outside. We had the smoked salmon appetizer which was very good and not over sized. Tony wife had the Kale salad with Rotisserie Chicken which was fantastic. (See pic) I had the Filet with Fries, cooked Med-Rate and paired it with a glass of the Challenge Pinto Noir. It was cooked perfectly and was a reasonable portion. (See pic) We sat at the bar to bypass the wait and the service from our tender was excellent! I missed out on the sandwich of the day which was Carnitas, which was a bummer. I will try again soon. Cheers!

Been to a few restaurants in Montecito and Honor Bar will always have a special place in my heart. Food is always 100% delicious and freshly made. I may be overreacting but the spaghetti and chicken meatballs is the best pasta I've ever had. Their crispy chicken sandwich is amazing as well. The waitress and hostess had amazing customer service. Service was quick to get seated and wait only took about 10-20 mins. The food took about 15 mins. For a Sunday evening dinner that's pretty good. Outdoor seating was great too. Overall ambiance was homey. I've been here and will be back again and again

The service is excellent and attentive from the wait time until the check came. We went during the lunch time rush but were seated promptly. We ordered a beverage while waiting. They have both outdoor and indoor seating as well as a full bar. The dip duo queso appetizer is perfect to share. This is guacamole and the other dip is cheese and jalapeño. Not too spicy. The honor burger was delicious and can request temperature cook for the meat. The other sandwiches looked delicious and don't forget to order fries!

Popped into town on a Monday during lunch time and The Honor Bar was the first recommendation from our Lyft driver. There was already a line forming so we added our name to the list and went for a little stroll down the street. We received a text fairly quickly indicating that our table was ready. It was quite chilly outside even with the sun out so I was grateful to be seating indoors, even if it was bar seating. The space is small but cozy. Seating completely around the bar with a clear view into the kitchen. Intimate table seating also lined the windows. Several tables outside as well that would have been perfectly on a warmer day. We were greeted and check on several times by the hosts, bartenders, servers, and even some of the kitchen staff. A plus on service. Our food: - Fries with dipping sauces (thin, generously salted) - Cubano sandwich (very tasty and healthy sized sandwich) - Macho salad (dates were an interesting touch. I could eat that salad every day) - paired our meal with a couple local beers Would love to try The Honor Bar for dinner on our next trip in town.

During our travels we had the pleasure of dining here, it has a cozy warm atmosphere. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and attentive. From Kim, Andrew and Sam that made it a point to welcome us in. The food was nothing short of delicious. The carnitas sandwich was exceptional! Overall a great experience. We'll have to plan a trip just to visit the restaurant.

We had an AMAZING experience at the Honor Bar. Nevaeh was our server and she was the absolute loveliest and was so knowledgeable in the ingredients in the dishes. Shoutout to Aaron for delivering exceptional service and constantly attentive giving the best recommendations. The food was so good! For the French dip, the brioche bun was soft and fluffy. The beef was thinly sliced, tender, and moist. The salad was delicious. Croutons were corn bread which was so unique and brought sweetness to the salad. The chicken was so juicy as well. We got chips and guac / queso and it was amazing. The chips were so fresh and we couldn't stop eating it. What a wonderful experience!! All the staff were amazing. Thank you for a fantastic lunch.

Love Honor Bar. The food is delicious and consistent. Service is attentive and welcoming. Came here two nights in a row while in Montecito back in November. Favorites are the DIP DUO, smoked trout dip, cedar plank roasted salmon, and southern style Brussels sprouts. The French fries are good, too. From what I'm told, just about everything here is tasty which I can believe. The vibe is a very relaxed but sophisticated setting. You can show up in jeans and a nice sweatshirt or a suit after a day at the office. Fun!

We came here for a family meal and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. When we first walked in, I was carrying my young daughter, and we were offered a table inside the bar area -- not outside where families usually sit. Later, when another guest complained that our kids were "too loud," a staff member came over and asked us to "keep it quiet." It felt like being scolded in front of the entire section, which was both embarrassing and unnecessary. Meanwhile, the complaining guest looked extremely satisfied watching us get corrected, which only made the situation worse. I asked the manager, Andrew, why we were seated inside the bar if families with children are going to be treated as disruptive. He couldn't give me an answer. To his credit, he acknowledged that the situation could have been handled differently and was kind in our heart-to-heart conversation. He even offered me a chocolate chip cookie as a gesture. But what stood out most was when he quickly ran over mid-meal to offer my daughter a cookie the one and only time her voice was loud -- which felt more like a distraction tactic than support, and honestly made things more weird and awkward. Does he offer a cookie to diffuse every situation? Because there was a barking dog a few booths down and I didn't see him offering biscuits or cookies to manage the noise. Never coming back here, and if you've got kids-your family will not feel comfortable or welcome.

Wow! So delicious & such a great ambiance! Brought one of my favorite clients to lunch & The Honor Bar did not disappoint! Although reservations are not allowed, we didn't wait long and were quickly welcomed to a comfy booth for three. Our server Alison was very attentive and continually assured we didn't need anything! The food was absolutely amazing & full of flavor. It was evident the ingredients were all fresh & the presentation was impressive! Started with the deviled eggs and had to ask for another order because they were so, so good! The brussel sprouts were also fantastic! I fell in love with the Matcho salad as it had all my favorites including dates, goat cheese, tender roasted chicken, tomatoes & corn bread croutons! The Emerald kale salad was perfectly delicious and the tuna sandwich is a must! I can't wait to go back with my friends & family! Definitely one of my new favorites!

We were just walking in the area and decided to just pop and have a bite here. The staff was so nice and our server, Sophia (if i remember correctly) was so sweet. If the menu has a french dip sandwich, i'm getting it. The meat was delicious, with the dip it melts in your mouth! Their salmon was cooked beautifully as well. Their chicken meatballs was okay, it was like chopped up chicken shaped into a ball, with a layer of bbq sauce and topped with some mustard. Other than that, what we got was delicious.

Hot or Not? Spoiler! it's a NOT. What a coincidence, it's happy hour . . . YAY ! Upon arrival, we were the only party on our end of the patio. (aside from a group of women on their way out.) We ordered our drinks promptly, but over the next 30m 3 small parties arrived, placed their drink orders, then their food orders, and were served well before us. disappointing. Despite being reassured multiple times over 30-40m period that our drinks were "on the way" they hadn't arrived long after having ordered--far before all the surrounding parties had arrived. We were checked in on plenty and added Ratatouille to our order. My Spicy margs finally arrived and (1) glass had visible lipstick stain on it. Luckily Bf double ordered for HH deal so I had the clean one while we waited to be checked in on to no avail. Beau had to wave down a server but 20m after a manager/owner ((it's unclear) she was casually dressed not in uniform like the servers.) but This woman came by and checked in we told her about the stain, she took the dirty glass, asked our drink and we get brought the wrong drink. Spicy Marg : 2/5 sips light refreshing and with a hint of spice not too overpowering. ($12) Bloody Mary: Beau thought it was ok would not order again.($10) Overall the experience felt dismissive and disorganized. We love to go for an experience, the ambience/atmosphere was great but the service we received ruined the experience, as the Idiom goes, IT LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. Ratatouille never arrived, we gave plenty of time and grace, decided to Cancel our order and request the check. Note: When we arrived the hostess said "it's just us two" so I gave the benefit of the doubt, on another occasion I would have left to avoid a situation like what we experienced, I understand. When our Lyft arrived, employees rushed over to open the doors, and when we asked where the restaurant was, the front desk employee actually stepped away from the desk to personally point us in the right direction. The walk to the restaurant is a bit long since it overlooks the beach, but it was a beautiful night and ended up feeling relaxing and special. (Particularly on the way back when we were full from the tasting menu) I just wouldn't wear uncomfy heels. One interesting touch: we overheard the hostess offering another couple the option to put their phones away for the evening so they could fully experience dinner distraction-free. I ended up keeping mine away too and honestly enjoyed being more present during the meal. As a side note, another couple took photos of every meal and there didn't appear to be a stigma regardless. We did the tasting menu, and our waiter was fantastic with recommendations. All the staff was great, honestly. What stood out most to me compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited was the focus on seasonal ingredients and vegetables. That night featured Harry's berries and asparagus throughout several dishes. My favorite was probably the burrata with Harry's berries and rhubarb. There are quite a few optional upgrades throughout the tasting menu, including caviar and upgraded steak options, but we only added the chocolate bar selection at the end, which was excellent. I also appreciated the atmosphere. You could hear the waves crashing through the open doors, but it still stayed warm and comfortable inside. The noise level was lively without being overwhelming, and the recently added piano really elevated the experience. Some dishes seemed to sing to the symphony. Overall, I wouldn't say it was the best meal I've ever had, but I absolutely would return. Several dishes highlighted the ingredients so beautifully that I'd love to come back during another season to try a different menu. Solid experience and felt more or less felt worth the price.
