This is at good location next to creek, google map had lil difficulty to find the place. It has many tables to get seated and works with robot to pock dishes and bring dishes to serve. We ordered spring roll, tom yum soup, green cury and drunken noodles. Food was delicious

Service was freaky fast. The scenery is beautiful. The thai iced tea was yummy. Dumplings were awesome!! Got the spicy pad ped with chicken and i didn't really like it, but my friend did.

Food was expensive. we got Pad kee mao and it was cold and all the noodles were stuck to each other. The chicken wontons were over fried. Service was fine, bur was disappointed in the food.

Amazing food! Customer service is so great too. Also right next to the creek, this place is very pretty. We ordered to go, and we actually inconvenienced the workers since we showed up less than an hour to closing time. Instead of turning us away, they let us order for to go and we're very kind, giving us 2 drinks while we wait as well. All their food was amazing. I highly recommend the papaya salad, tom kha, and pad Thai. Stop by if you're in the area!

We had an excellent meal at The Baht and I honestly don't understand how anyone could walk away disappointed. We started with the crispy tofu and the spicy pork balls, and both were fantastic. The tofu had great texture and real flavor, not an afterthought, and the pork balls had genuine heat and depth without being over the top. My husband ordered the Tom Kri soup with shrimp and it was, hands down, the best dish of lunch. Creamy coconut broth with mushrooms and pickled onions, deeply flavorful and perfectly balanced. I would come back just for that soup alone. For entrées, my daughter had the pad Thai, I had the Khao Soi, and my husband ordered the duck basil. All three were excellent. Bold, authentic flavors and generous portions. I saw a review claiming the portions are small and that could not be further from the truth. Portions are large. We took home leftovers. Maybe that person eats at Shoneys or something. The view is adorable, cozy, and charming, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you're in Gatlinburg and want something beyond the usual tourist food, this is absolutely the place

Everything we have after 2.5 hours getting there.

块pao We waited in line for 40 minutes, only to have our table given away to someone else and our name crossed off the list. When we finally sat down and ordered, our rice never came. The server later explained that the rice cooker was broken, but even after three hours in this restaurant, they couldn't resolve it. When the rice did eventually show up, it was still short by a bowl. On top of that, the servers were nowhere to be found most of the time. To make things worse, the food was overpriced and the portions were very small. When we questioned the automatic 18% gratuity that was added without notice--on top of being asked again to leave a tip at checkout--the owner mocked the way we spoke, saying "blah blah blah" while imitating us, and told us "don't be cheap." The lack of respect was shocking and offensive. For an Asian restaurant, this is unacceptable on every level. If you don't want to waste your time, money, and dignity, don't come here.

The location of the restaurant is beautiful! The whole restaurant is made of glass and it overlooks a creek with flowing water. There's also outdoor seating but we didn't opt for that due to ducks roaming around outside. We went for lunch one day and came back for dinner another day making it two different experiences. The first day we they mentioned they're out of papaya salad so we opt for beef jerky, pad Thai chicken, tom yum beef fried rice, and a pork & crab dry noodles. It's def on the pricey side and there is 18% gratuity already added! Good experience for lunch. We came back for dinner another night Ordered thai ice tea which was good! Ordered a shrimp pad Thai which is good as well however their pad Thai aren't consistently flavored. I guess it all depends on which protein one orders but based on all my Thai places experiences, it should be consistent no matter the protein. Anyways. I ordered glass noodles with beef and it was a bit bland I added some papaya salad sauce and it spiced it up more and better flavored. This time they did have papaya salad and it was good! My husband ordered the beef green curry. It took a while to come out probably because it was slightly hectic. It wasn't cooked as thoroughly as it should but overall the taste was ok. Rice was slightly undercooked but we didn't fuss. Overall, a good Thai experience in a place where Asian food isn't prevalent! Definitely a must try!

We had an overall nice dinner here. The restaurant has a great location right by the water. Our food came quickly after ordering. However, I did find the portions to be on the smaller compared to their price point. The dishes I enjoyed the most were their pad Thai and pad kee mao- we ordered both with shrimp, which they cooked perfectly. The most disappointing dish was their basil duck- the duck tasted quite dry and the entire dish was extremely salty. Even with the side of white rice it was overwhelmingly salty. We ordered an extra side of white rice and that was $5. The khao man Kai was quite good in terms of flavor, but it is very gingery and I thought the chicken itself was just ok. I would stick to ordering their fried rice or noodle dishes. Our servers were friendly and we got a kick out of their robot servers. I do recommend bringing a light jacket because they have their AC on full blast so it does feel chilly inside the restaurant.

We were skeptical about coming after reading a different review on Yelp that suggested the food wasn't authentic. Now that I've been, I have to say it tasted authentic to me, at least based on the food my table had. Crab fried rice was delicious. They gave generous portions of meat in all of the meat dishes. The crispy duck was actually crispy. The food was well seasoned and not too salty. I think they actually do make their Thai tea because my tea was in 2 layers when it was brought out (tea at the bottom and milk at the top) and I mixed it myself. Though the restaurant was busy, the servers did their best to attend to you and came back to refill waters. The place was clean. Sufficient parking. Unfortunately, we didn't try the tum yum, which is honestly the bar I judge every Thai restaurant by (I want to taste that galangal and kaffir leaf), next time. Took pictures after we chowed down this time. I do need to warn that their medium spicy level is actually spicy, which I enjoyed, but others may not. I do highly recommend if you are in the area and craving Thai. ----------- Update: went back and tried the Tom Yum. It was good, but was missing the "kick" and depth of sour flavor I prefer. Also would add that the food can get pricey fairly quickly if you get multiple dishes. Chicken satay was delicious, highly recommend. I'd still go back and recommend coming here though.

I really enjoyed my food here, but unfortunately my partner did not. I ordered the Fried Mushrooms and Green Curry. They were both delicious and no negative notes. My partner order a yellow curry fried noodle dish with soft noodles in it too. This dish was a huge miss for him. I would return solo if in the area.

I had the Panang curry with chicken. Portion size was huge. It was good, but I've had better. I pretty much order this dish at every Thai restaurant I visit. Firstly, it was odd that they put peas in it ... never seen that before. Other vegetables, yes, but peas are just a strange flavor in a panang (coconut-y) curry. Other than that, i would say it was a little too sweet and too thin (watery, instead of thick and creamy). But not bad. On the spiciness level, I asked for three stars (out of five), and I'd say it was slightly less spicy than I expected. The server was very friendly, but somehow she or the kitchen (or the robot) got two out of our three orders wrong (very wrong) on the first try. But they quickly corrected the mistakes and were apologetic.

Food is absolutely delicious! Best Thai restaurant in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The service was great at the door the host greeted us with a smile and walked us to our table poured us water. The restaurant location is cute windows all around from floor to ceiling giving it a cute elevated feel the dining experience. The serve helped us out with boxing our food and brought our check. Very sweet service. Not sure why it has such a low rating our experience from being to end was top notch.

Ole Red - Gatlinburg…read more Sometimes the best places are the ones you never planned on visiting. We were having a miserable day in Gatlinburg. It was Labor Day weekend, hotter than hell, the streets were packed, and then our trolley broke down way down the road. By the time we made it into town, we were hot, tired, and pretty much done with humanity for the afternoon. We walked into Ole Red for one simple reason: air-conditioning and a cold drink. We figured we'd cool off for a few minutes and move on. A couple hours later, we were still there. This place completely won us over. There was a young guy onstage playing live music, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and instead of feeling like another crowded Gatlinburg tourist stop, it became exactly what we needed. Then came the wings. My parents ran a very popular wing bar in South Jersey, so I've been around good wings most of my life. Because of that, I order them almost everywhere I go, and I'm probably harder on wings than most people. I wasn't expecting anything special here. These wings were fantastic. Crispy, meaty, full of flavor, and honestly much better than I ever expected from a place where we'd originally stopped just to escape the heat. That's what I'll remember about Ole Red. We walked in hot, aggravated, and looking for 20 minutes of air-conditioning. We walked out a couple hours later talking about how glad we stopped. Sometimes a bad day just needs good wings, cold drinks, live music, and a little air-conditioning. Definitely recommend Ole Red when you're in Gatlinburg.

Obviously, he could tell I was young, and since I'm not 21 yet, I sadly had to decline. I knew I probably wasn't going to be seated there anyway, but it was a funny interaction that immediately set a good mood for me. My waiter was also really nice, and while the food is a bit pricey, I completely understand the pricing considering this is also a music venue. You're paying for good service, quality food, & the overall atmosphere with live music, so I really can't complain because you get what you pay for. My only real complaint is that I wish the venue had a little more variety in the music they play. Other than that, I had a really good experience & would definitely come back. P.S : Tip the artist

You need reservations; if you don't have them, you risk getting turned away. It's a husband and wife running the entire place. No extra help. They want you to stay and relax and enjoy everything. We only stayed 90 minutes and they tried to get us to stay longer. Like all the reviews say, it's a very European experience. We've never experienced anything like it. We started with an old fashioned and a margarita from the daily cocktail menu. Olga welcomed us with a hug and took us to our table. She didn't stay out long because she is the chef! But it was still cool to interact with her in the beginning. Both her and her husband made us feel like family. It started pouring and he walked outside with an umbrella and held it for 2 girls at the bar. I thought that was super sweet. We ordered the salmon roe caviar and it was divine. Our second course was the oyster flatbread and I ended up being sad I was sharing it. It was that good!!!!! We were pretty full at this point after a couple more drinks. They were really busy too, so we decided to go ahead and get the check. It started raining right after we got our check, so we ended up getting one more drink to wait it out. We had the best time and can't wait to come back!

While we were walking the Arts and Crafts Loop near Gatlinburg (I HIGHLY recommend this as well), we noticed this wonderful-looking restaurant nestled away in the green forested hills across the street. We opted to come back here for dinner on our last night in the Great Smokey Mountains. Sooooo glad we did! Owned and operated by a European couple, the Red Oak has the ambiance of a quaint European restaurant that one would find tucked away in the Alps. While the inside atmosphere is wonderful, we chose to sit outside to enjoy the very quiet and beautiful forested hills of Gatlinburg. Service was incredible and very European - they told us they would not bother us unless we asked for something and that the table was ours for the evening. Yep...we stayed there for three hours, sipping our wine and trying various dishes of exquisite flavor. I'd like to say try this or try that, but to be honest: all the dishes we tried were absolutely phenomenal. We cannot wait to try this place again!
