Great location being right on the water, made for a nice lunch with views. Our waiter was super kind and fun, plus gave great recommendations. Prices were fair. The sushi was really good, fun flavors and creative presentation. The little sauce holders were really cute. The 4 stars is mainly for the sangria. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't a typical sangria taste that I was expecting. Also not sure what made it green but being in Salem it fit a witches cauldron vibe.

Great seafood restaurant in Salem, lots of indoor space, open layout and friendly staff. All the seafood was very fresh and well made, got calamari, seafood stew with linguine and a sushi roll to try out. Could pass on the sushi next time to try a different entree but solid spot.

Nice restaurant by the water serving seafood and sushi. No sushi this visit, just drinks and lobster. Stuffed lobster for my husband and lobster roll for me. Both were tasty and the lobster roll was generous. There is a nice deck overlooking the water but it was too hot for us to eat outside today. Inside the dining room is nice and airy. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking at noon on a Saturday in June was a nightmare. All the garages were full. We drove around until we found street parking.

We decided to try Finz after a day of exploring Salem. The afternoon was gorgeous and so were the views. Great location. Drinks were great-loved the Bourbon Blueberry Smash. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. The Sushi was good the calamari was bland with an awful "marinara" like sauce on the side. The poke bowl was actually very good. The fish tacos were bland and disappointing. I added soy sauce and ketchup for flavor! Haha. I'm hoping it was just an off night as expected much better. Service was good!

Wow, do they do a good painkiller! I asked what drink I should order, and the waitress recommended this, and I'm very glad she did. The food did take a long time to come out, but with the drinks we were happy to wait sitting out back is fantastic, with a wonderful view of the water, and boats. When the food did arrive, we had the seaweed salad with a fun little sparkly thing in the top that I hadn't never seen in food before, and we also ordered sushi. There was something else too, but I forget. The sushi was nothing special, and I liked the presentation of it, but I felt like the mix of flavors for the vegetarian sushi option were slightly lacking. All in all, we had a wonderful time and I look forward to being back again!!

My friend from home suggested this place. She even said it was so good that she went twice so naturally, I had to go.. at least once. I booked reservations which was simple enough. My friends and I actually showed up 20 minutes early and were seated right away. We were given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Given that it was 60s in October, we sat outside and were entertained by the respectful but drunk boaters nearby. It was too dark to enjoy the water view but one can imagine. We all agreed how hard it was to pick a dish because everything sounded so appetizing. In the end, we did split some desserts. Lobster maki 10 piece 11/10: I typically don't finish my food because I have a small appetite. But this roll was so good that I truly almost finished the whole thing. I had to let my friends try a piece. Immediately, they both gave me a positive reaction. The tempura was crunchy. I really enjoyed the lobster bits. 2 piece salmon nigiri 8/10: Salmon was fresh, silky, and smooth. Easy to bite down on. Rice was cooked thoroughly. No complaints. Pumpkin pie tiramisu 7/10: This tiramisu lacked structure, however the flavors were complex. The maple glazed pecans SOLD ME. Great texture contrast. Warm chocolate chip cookie pie 9/10: The soft, cold vanilla ice cream and warm cookie pie paired so well together. The chocolate never made me feel dehydrated. It never felt heavy. Highly recommend this dessert! Overall, I wish I had more time to come back to this restaurant to try more dishes just like my friend back at home! If you're on the fence about coming here, don't hesitate. Just book the reservation.

Well, this ranks as one of the top 10 meals of my life to date! Atmosphere - super East Coast seafood vibes! Service was fantastic! I ordered the surf and turf which featured tenderloin topped with garlic butter lobster pieces over asparagus and mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious! For dessert we had the Nutella tartlet and it was so balanced and delicious served with a peanut butter sauce and whipped cream. So good!!!!!

Seafood restaurant with a view of the harbor. I only had the clam chowder on this visit, but it was delicious. Open for lunch and dinner lots of space . The service was great . Leave some time to shop in the area. There are lots of little local gift shops.

Absolutely delicious, fresh, and unique sushi; reasonably priced and every single bite was delicious. Really pretty spot near the water and had a nice layout, so it didn't feel too crowded. Definitely will be back!

We had the most perfect weather during our visit to Salem. We also had our dog with us. Outdoor seating was a must for us and Finz was a perfect choice. Food was all delicious, although portions are a bit smaller. Our waitress was excellent. The views are outstanding. Overall, even if you don't have a dog with you I think you will enjoy Finz for the beautiful water views.

This place has great drinks and seafood! The service is fast and friendly. I like to come here when I visit Salem. The restaurant is in a great location next to the water.

Pumpkins espresso martini so bad. Creamy and no flavor and didn't tell me there was a sugar rik don't get it

We went during Halloween month and the traffic was busy getting there but the place wasn't packed. I think in the summer it be beautiful by the water. Sushi was really good and food was decent. The drinks tho were orettty bad. We ordered pumpkin espresso martini and spicy pickle martini and it was not good at all! I would not come here for the bar ever. Service was mediocre too. Go to another restaurant if you want too. Parking can get busy as well.

Ask the Community - Finz Seafood & Grill

Hey there! Does anyone know if Finz allows customers to have their luggage with them while they are seated eating? Or even outside to eat? Our rental would not allow us to drop off luggage before it was ready.. Thanks!

There is plenty of space at the restaurant, they may allow it outside. Best bet is to call and ask the front desk.

    Where is there close parking?

Parking can be challenging there, it's street parking in a very busy area. If you have someone who has difficulty walking, I'd suggest dropping them off near the restaurant, and then finding a spot as close as possible.

Does this place have a dress code?

No. Most people were causally dressed

Do they have a children's menu?

Yes they do. They have smaller portions of some of the popular items like a chic lobster (a smaller version) and they also offer healthy choices like fruit and veggies in addition to regular kid friendly items like chicken fingers and fries.

I loved the vibe and interior of The Tavern - it was spooky and old timey. You could see and feel the history of this hotel and it was awesome to experience. The dining room had a bunch of tables, but did not feel overcrowded. The Tavern is a great place to grab a drink and relax. It would also make great for a romantic date night. I also loved that the lobby was decorated with a bunch of pumpkins. Staff were also very friendly and attentive! I would absolutely come back here the next time we are in town! I only gave 4 stars due to the lousy, noisy, raunchy bar flies. They couldn't care less about other customers as they were shouting and cussing away. Having a conversation with my husband was impossible. The bartender, who was 5 stars in her service to us, attempted to remind these people to stop yelling. I understand being a local, as I am one, and it makes me want to keep my favorite places in business. However, disruptive and rude bar flies should be shut out ff earlier and asked to leave or at the very least pipe down. Ultimately, I highly recommend anyone local or out of town to try The Tin Whistle for the food and service. Maybe try one of the tall comfy wooden booths would make for a better atmosphere.
