We waited approximately 3-4 minutes while the bartender talked with other staff and lingered nearby. During that time, he never acknowledged us, never made eye contact, never said "I'll be right with you," and never asked if we wanted anything to drink. He was close enough to know we were there, and we were clearly new customers sitting at the bar with no drinks in front of us. After waiting without even a simple greeting, we decided to leave and try the outdoor bar instead. I asked the bartender outside if he was the bartender, and he said yes. He remained seated, continued talking with a group of women, and again made no effort to ask what we wanted or explain how service worked. I even mentioned that we were new there, but that didn't change anything. At that point, we decided to leave altogether. As we were leaving, instead of trying to help or understand why we were walking away, the interaction became dismissive and argumentative. I don't expect instant service, especially if a bar is busy. I do expect the basic courtesy of being acknowledged. A simple "I'll be with you in a minute" would have been enough. Instead, we were left feeling unwelcome and ignored by two different bartenders. We took our business elsewhere, and unfortunately, our first impression of McShane's was that new customers simply weren't a priority.

Having heard good things about their Burgers I opted to go with their Classic Cheeseburger and fries for $15 and two of their house margarita's which were the drink of the day on Tuesdays for $5 apiece. Realtive to the burger, it was quite large at 1/2 lb and definately a two hander. It was well made, quite juicy, with fresh veggies and very very tasty. The fries were well made as well with a nice crunchy texture and quite tasty in their own right. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal. The decor defiantely adds a lot to the dining experience. Staff was very friendly with great follow up throughout. Overall this is a great bar/restaurant whose reputation is well deserved. I definately will be returning in the near future, probably on a Tuesday, so I can get some more of those tasty margarita's. :)

We stopped in after an event at the Eastern Market which was very very crowded, looking for a place to eat we spotted Thomas Magee's. On this particular day they had a pop-up barbecue that was serving the jerk chicken, fried cabbage, and beans. It was delicious. The inside is dark and cool just as you imagine. I had a DJ outside with just the right vibe to relax and enjoy the sunset from a busy day.

This place may not be as large as fins or as rowdy, but it definitely captures the Irish vibe perfectly. I came in here for a marketing event. I sat down on our barstool, avoiding the mixing and mingling across the way. I ordered a Jamison. Is there anything else in an Irish bar? An acquaintance came up and ordered a Guinness... It's really the only other acceptable drink in an Irish bar. The service was astounding. I had a ticket for a free drink, even with a free drink ticket. I didn't get a light watered down pour. It's a lovely spot. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, she was quite friendly. We had talked about my experience at some of the other ostrich town establishments and she was a peach. She really advocated for the other businesses and it actually prompted me to stop back in and give a second look to a spot I had given three stars to once before.
