The staff was impeccable. Walked in with a party of 10 and they had a table set up for us in no time. Tried the house favorite lasagna and it was terrific! Must try if in the area.

Last night of vacation and tour group stopped at the Harbor for our free time. A decent pizza here, a little pricey in the quantity ratio, and could've used a little more sauce but its still a quality pizza. If I'm vacationing in the area again, I wouldn't rush to come back, but I wouldn't hesitate too either.

You walk in and smells like fresh dough, but I found the meal lackluster. We had the bread with burrata which was good but nothing special. The strawberry lemonade for $10 did not even have a real strawberry in the drink, it was essentially a fake syrup. I had the chicken parmasean which was fine but again nothing special. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I have been holding back on a few spots and Fiorella's Italian Kitchen is one of them. Recently, I met up with a few friends for dinner and drinks. Although Fiorella's has an extensive menu with plenty of food options, I avoid dishes containing cheese and diary. To my surprise, they were able to accommodate my dietary request. What I ordered was not on the menu but none the less pleasing to my eyes and taste buds. I worked with my server to order grilled salmon, tomatoes and broccoli over garlic pasta prepared in olive oil. The exceptional customer service and willingness to make accommodations for special diets is enough for me to recommend and return to Fiorella's.

Went for a late lunch and we're seated quickly. Tried the spinach and crab dip appetizer and the truffle and mushroom pizza. Both were good. The dip was warm, not hot, as expected. It came with a perfect amount of chips.

I stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to sit for happy hour. We sat in the bar area and was served by Justin. I would've just given this review 3 stars but the extra star is for him. I loved deals on the HH menu. Items ordered: Peach Sangria - pretty tasty Blueberry Mule - kind of on the sweeter side Calamari & Shrimp - the flavor was good; the shrimp breading was a little soggy on the bottom Pepperoni pizza - came out very hot and I love that; the flavor was good; it's made with pecorino instead of mozzerella

Cannoli was a disappointment, I would not get this again

The only negative thing I have for this place is the creepy, fat, naked statue they have outside. Otherwise, I love this place and we usually eat here or at Bond 45 whenever we come to the harbour. Christmas is magical here. It is so cozy inside, there was lovely instrumental jazz Christmas music playing, the seating is comfortable and the food is excellent! Service is always great too! I highly recommend! The lasagna is wonderful: traditional with lots of meat and a bechamel sauce. The pizza is very good too! My only disappointment was the cannoli (I am a cannoli fanatic and order this everywhere if it's on the menu). The chocolate chips that were used were blooming and tasted old which ruined the flavor of the whole thing. Otherwise a good experience as usual.

I love a good slice of pizza, and they were delicious! The fried mozzarella balls were so good. The atmosphere was really nice and festive for Christmas The service was amazing

I've gone here twice for happy hour now and I really enjoyed it. The drinks are good and the food is really good too. It's right in the heart of the Harbor so if you sit outside the views are really nice, however it sits street side so there may be a lot of traffic (foot and/or vehicle) depending on the time of day. Would definitely recommend this cute restaurant as I'm confident the other menu items are just as good.

    Vegetarian Supreme.
    N8 S.

MY wife and I are pescatarians, my children aren't. I ordered the Cajun pasta and my wife had the vegetarian supreme. I have to tell you, the Cajun pasta was really good. It had the right amount of creaminess and I wished I had bread to mop up all the cajun fettuccini sauce. Sorry, forgot to take a pick. My wife pizza was pretty big, easily big enough for two people. I only had her crust because I was using it to mop up the pasta sauce, but my wife said it was good.

Of course, the very moment the fireworks were to go off a pouring rain began. Grr. Our aim at Vola's was to get some drinks and dessert sitting outside. We put our name on the waiting list and were seated about 40 minutes later in the section on King St. Service was very good. My friends were drinking hard seltzers and margaritas. I opted for Vola's hot coffee, which just didn't taste very good, even when camouflaged with cream. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate fudge cake, vanilla bean trifle and Audrey's key lime pie. The chocolate fudge cake was very rich and very tasty. But even I, as a chocolate lover, would have preferred that the cake had come with some vanilla ice cream to balance things out. The key lime pie with Chantilly cream was good with a sharp lime flavor. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Trifle. This dessert came with a blackberry compote, Chantilly cream, whipped cream and a crispy thin butterscotch tuile wafer. The flavors in the trifle were great, but because the dessert was served at nearly room temperature, it wasn't very appealing. To be best enjoyed, this dessert should have been chilled.

Like many businesses in National Harbor, Mason's is a chain. They have several locations across the US and a few locations in...Italy? That was a curveball I wasn't expecting. Anyway, it was lunchtime when we entered but fortunately not too crowded so we were able to grab a table. It's not a large space - there's ~4 tables inside as well as some stools, plus more tables outside. The menu is mostly rolls - lobster rolls of course, but they also have shrimp and crab with various accents. Most of the rolls are offered Connecticut style (warm with butter) or traditional (cold with mayo). They also have a few sides and salads. I noticed they had a lunch special, which came with a roll of my choice plus a drink and side. I can take or leave lobster - but the crab roll was speaking to me so I went with that, Connecticut style. The roll itself was good - a balanced portion of crab that had good flavor and tasted fresh. The bun was toasted ever so slightly, and held all the crab meat well. I had a bag of potato chips for my side which were...chips, yes. Service was fine, and overall I had good experience at Mason's. Is it the epitome of lobster rolls? No, but if you're craving them in the area then this fits the bill.

Captain White Seafood Review - 10/10…read more If fresh seafood is what you're looking for, Captain White is one of my favorite places to shop. I've been there several times, and the quality has always been consistent. It's always busy, which tells me people know they're getting fresh seafood. Even when the parking lot is packed, there's plenty of free parking, so I've never had trouble finding a space. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a seafood market. You'll smell fresh fish when you walk in, but it's not an unpleasant odor--it's simply the smell of fresh seafood. One of the things I appreciate most is the staff. They've always been friendly, patient, and helpful whenever I've needed assistance or had questions. Over the years, I've purchased crabs , oysters , black bass, whiting, trout, spot, crawfish , and shrimp . Every purchase has been fresh and delicious. Their tartar sauce is also worth picking up if you're planning a seafood dinner. Now, I'm not a crab expert, so I can't compare them to every seafood market around. I can only speak from my own experience, and the crabs I've purchased have always been good. If you're going for crabs, get there early. They sell quickly, especially during the summer months. Another reason I keep coming back is the daily specials. They often have great seasonal deals, making it a perfect time to stock up on fresh seafood. Final Rating: 10/10 Fresh seafood, helpful staff, free parking, and consistently great quality make Captain White a place I'll continue to recommend.

"Grandparents Recovery Mode Activated... and Succotash Delivered."…read more July 28, 2026 -- the granddaughters had just left, the house was quiet, and I knew exactly what we needed: a grandparents recovery dinner. Something with great food, great drinks, and great ambiance. After checking a few places, Succotash at National Harbor fit the bill perfectly -- close, reliable, and unforgettable on our last visit. I told Tiffany to dress sexy and comfortable because we were going somewhere special. She immediately activated her detective mode -- no training, just natural talent -- asking me the same question in ten different ways trying to crack the surprise. But when we pulled up to Succotash, her eyes said everything:I did good. The Welcome Inside, we were greeted by Ellis, who had the kind of warm, inviting smile that makes you feel like you're walking into a friend's home. She asked if it was a special occasion, and I proudly said,"Yes -- I'm taking this beautiful woman out for date night." Ellis promised us a great table. The first one wasn't our vibe, and she happily moved us to one we loved. That's hospitality done right. Then Chen V., our waitress, arrived with great energy, menu suggestions, and the confidence of someone who knows the food is going to blow your mind. Starters & Drinks We began with the All the Bites platter: Deviled eggs (three kinds!) Crispy Korean Cauliflower Fried pickles As Chen walked away, I read the description for Jamie's Cornbread with hot honey-brown butter and immediately called her back. My mouth was already watering. The Entrées Tiffany ordered Shrimp & Grits, her forever favorite.I ordered Crispy Blue Catfish with Collard Greens, my forever favorite. The starters arrived with five‑star presentation -- and the taste matched it.We both agreed: All the Bites and the Cornbread were outstanding. Tiffany's Shrimp & Grits came out beautifully. She loved it -- shrimp cooked perfectly -- though she could've used a little more seasoning. My catfish?Outstanding.Crispy, flavorful, beautifully plated. The collard greens cooked with smoked turkey were perfect. And what I thought was thinly sliced lettuce turned out to be one of the best slaws/coleslaws I've ever had. The Cornbread That Stole the Show The cornbread with hot honey-brown butter melted in my mouth like it had been waiting its whole life for this moment.Sweet, buttery, warm -- the kind of cornbread that makes you close your eyes and rethink your priorities. Succotash was hitting every note. ‍ A Visit from the Manager The manager -- they called him AB -- stopped by to check on us.Great touch.Great timing.Great service. Dessert Drama Everyone knows I'm a dessert guy.I studied the menu like it was a final exam and chose the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, with Chen backing me up on adding vanilla ice cream. She packed our leftovers and brought the pie.It looked scrumptious...But to my horror, it wasn't warm. Now, I didn't ask for it warm -- but when you add ice cream, you assume warmth is part of the deal.Cold pie + melting ice cream = dessert confusion. I still ate most of it (I'm dessert crazy), but it wasn't the ending I dreamed of. Final Verdict Even with the cold‑pie plot twist, the night was outstanding. The food, the staff, the ambiance -- everything was top‑tier.Succotash delivered a perfect surprise date night and a perfect grandparents recovery dinner. We'll be back -- and next time, we're trying the Taste the South family‑style menu.
