I came here for a work dinner after a conference and was pleasantly surprised! This was one of the few restaurants that didn't have a ridiculous wait when we were trying to get dinner, so we decided to check it out. Service is really quick and polite. We ordered meatballs to share and I got their crab cake and shrimp for my entree. The meatballs were delicious, saucy, and flavorful. I absolutely loved their crab cakes as it was stuffed with crab meat and not bready at all. It also came with a sweet potato (?) puree and corn, that I thought paired really well with the crab. Why a great night at Bond 45! We are in town for a conference and decided to get a nightcap before heading back to the hotel. We had such a great time it was hard to leave. The staff was for sure the highlight of the night, then the drinks and the dessert. All equally 10/10! The restaurant is very open with plenty of seating at the bar, and tables inside and outside. While we didn't have food, the menu looked phenomenal with a variety of appetizers, pastas, seafood, steak, lamb chops. You'll basically be able to take anyone and they can find something on the menu. We started with the passionfruit margarita which I highly suggest getting. It was just the way passionfruit should be - a little sour and not too sweet. I also had a Bond Blossom which again, was amazing. It's a cranberry infused gin based cocktail. The tanginess of the cranberry and the sweetness of the elderflower was nothing short of perfect. We also split dessert - chocolate cake, cannolis, tiramisu and red velvet cake. I can't say which was my favorite because they were all delicious. I would be cutting my review short if I didn't mention the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was friendly and the general manager made us feel like we were at home. They made an ordinary Tuesday very special. A top choice for a visit to the harbor! Literally from the ambiance to the service, views of the wharf and live entertainment to the food and cocktails - Kevin was so knowledgeable and helpful when it came to menu recommendations. My mom and I visited for an early seafood dinner. We ordered the pear salad to start (which was phenomenal) with a Bianca Sangria and White Peach Margarita. For dinner, we had lobster ravioli, the crab cake & shrimp and shared broccolini and lobster mac & cheese. They brought out the lobster mashed potatoes instead but quickly corrected the mistake, and we had an extra comp'd side. Overall - this visit left a great impression. I dined at Bond 45 during a recent work trip to Baltimore. Our server was pleasant and attentive, but was uncertain about the ingredients in menu items, making it challenging for members of our group with dietary limitations to feel confident in ordering (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free). None of the appetizers are vegan, so I wasn't able to enjoy any of these, however our server was fairly confident that the lemon vinaigrette that dressed the house salad was vegan and it was delicious. Similarly, there are no vegan entrees on the menu so my dinner consisted of a platter of sides - roasted mushrooms, green beans, brussels sprouts, and stewed beans - admittedly very tasty but in this day and age where so many people are moving in a plant forward direction I was surprised at the lack of intentionally vegan options. When inquiring about dessert I was not offered a vegan choice, so opted for decaf coffee (very good) while my dining companions sampled the chocolate mousse cake, tiramisu, and vanilla bean cheesecake. On the way out I noticed another patron enjoying a cup of raspberry sorbet, so it appears there was a vegan option about which our server wasn't aware. It was quite loud in the area in which we were seated which made conversation difficult. The following day my throat was a little scratchy from having to shout throughout our dinner. Overall Bond 45 is... fine, but I wouldn't proactively choose to dine here again based on my experience. read more

I've always saw Bond 45 when at the Harbor, and I finally got the chance to try it out. On the day, I went (in summertime), the AC wasn't working and they had big fans throughout the restaurant. We ended up sitting in the covered outside area, which provided some cooler air. The service was nice, but I'd say the food was just alright. I don't think it was something to rave about. Great experience with colleagues while visiting for a conference just steps from our hotel. I will say the waiting staff seemed rushed but I know we had a later reservation due to events earlier in the day. The salad was delicious as well as the appetizers (not pictured). They have a moderately extensive menu. I had the seafood risotto. It was mediocre but full of shrimp. I was missing something in the flavor. It was not really well-seasoned but the texture was fairly rich. I like a rich, seasoned risotto like that at Georgia Sea Grill in St. Simons Island, Georgia, which is my favorite. We ordered the steak and eggs, the shrimp and grits, and a house salad for our brunch entrees. We decided on the passion fruit margarita and the Bianca sangria for our beverages. The steak and eggs are accompanied by breakfast potatoes and greens. I asked for my steak to be prepared medium rare but it was on the rare side. When I am craving Italian, Bond 45 always come to mind. I want a nice italain meal in nice inviting Italian restaurant with views of the Potomac River. On this visit, I tried the Lobster Ravioli with the upgrade 1/2lb Lobster upgrade. The meail was well portioned between Ravioli and Lobster. As a Lobster fan, I always want more. The Raviolis were each perfectly cooked. The dish comes with 3 sauce options: marina, alfredo, or mixed 50/50. I had the alfredo sauce but the marinara sauce looked just as good as well. The service was great and servers was very attentive. Of course, after having such a delightful meal, I had to end the meal with a espresso martini. I needed a little coffee, with a kick. Stumbled upon this place while staying in National Harbour for just the night. Loved the nostalgic Italian steakhouse feel I got when I walked in the door. For a table setting they put us on the end and in the path of the bathroom. Multiple times I had to move in or get up from the table to give access to the long hallway and the bathroom. I was staying in National Harbor for a convention, and you know what I realize? They have a lot of fantastic happy hours, but they end 6-6:30 mostly, so on a normal day, I can never make them! Anyway, this spot happened to have a special 2-course menu for convention attendees as long as we showed our badges. They had some fantastic options, like salads and garlic bread for appetizers, and burgers, pastas, and even steak frites ($10 upcharge)! I arrived right at 3:00 when they open AND when happy hour starts! So it was deals on deals! I had a refreshing rosa sangria (not rose wine, but malbec!). They had a bunch of food deals too, but I decided to stick to the special convention menu. I got a refreshing house salad and opted for the steak frites option. The taste was fantastic -- I got it medium. I don't get steak often, so I'm not sure if it was as it should've been. It was chewier than I thought it'd be at that temp, but that might be on me. Either way, I loved the vibe of the place and the staff were really nice. They have a lovely outdoor area too. I'd love to return, especially for happy hour (whenever that could be)! read more

So I was visiting from Dallas for work and decided to take myself to a nice dinner on the harbor. I'm simple, I don't really need much typical easy guest so let's start with the pros Pros: Prices are decent, my sidecar was great outside of not having any garnish and lots of ice the flavor was spot on, and the crab cake was hands down best I've had in the DMV Cons: I ordered the surf and turf medium, it came out med well so I politely asked for it to be cooked to temp, next time it came back med rare - instead of the bartender offering management support she told me she needs to take the steak and that I wasn't being difficult and she gets it ... like obviously I'm not being difficult lol I ordered a medium steak most standard temp and now I've eaten all my other food and they just can't get it right Neutrals: Manager come by and starts with "I heard you're having issues with your food" lol somehow the negative was transferred to me the patron like no I'm not having issues .. you guys are Then she does the typical "we comped blah blah blah and only charged for the crab cake" Well thanks but it's not a favor I didn't get to eat anything else Then bartender tries to be fake nice and offer me a free drink but I declined tipped 10 on the $26 and went in about my night So I'd never be back but I feel this is an isolated incident - and the one bite I of steak I did get to try was actually amazing lol so super sad I didn't get to enjoy that full meal also the ambiance is nice as well compared to other restaurants in the area read more

Yikes. On a recent outing to National Harbor we came here because of relatively good reviews and the water view. Perhaps it was an off night -- but we were not impressed. I got the salmon and mashed potatoes. First off, it was wildly bland. Secondly, there was literally PLASTIC in my mashed potatoes. How? Are they premade and microwaved? Potatoes, generally, do not come in plastic. My salmon was also wildly overcooked. The sauce it came with had an acrid taste to it. My fiance got very overcooked pasta on topped with a giant piece of breaded chicken (chicken was good though). This place, to us, was the epitome of paying for the view. read more

Food: 4 stars. appetizers are amazing here risotto scallops are 3 stars and the steak frites also similar. 3. Service: 4 stars it is a hit and a miss. They are uniformly polite any day but you can tell when the are toying with you and pretend nice versus genuinely just polite when we are treating them with respect. Came here for a friend's birthday last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. This was my first time here and loved every min of the experience. While waiting for the guest of honor, I ordered a drink from the bar which was delicious. After we sat down at our table, I ordered the soup of the day which was a potato soup. I ate that whole thing! Lol it was flavorful. I did expect more chunks of potato but it was all good. For my main entree I ordered the rigatoni bolognese with beed ragu and Alfredo sauce. It was delicious! O could have eaten the whole thing but didn't want to be greedy. Lol I took it home and had it for lunch the next day and it reheated well. Overall the experience was great. Once we were seated, we started off with two water with lemons. For the appetizer, we ordered garlic bread and Mumbo chicken wings. They were both very flavorful. I've been to Bond 45 twice (many years apart) and loved both experiences! I recently visited again after visiting the ICE! winter ice sculpture event at the Gaylord National Harbor. I was very cold after that experience, so dinner at Bond 45 was most certainly a welcome experience. I ordered the following: -Old Fashioned (yum! This was a really great drink to complement my meal) -House salad (mixed greens, cucumbers, tomato, lemon vinaigrette) -Chicken Parmigians with pasta pomodoro (this is their house specialty, so I just had to order it and was certainly not disappointed). I've also had their steak when I visited in the past and thought it was amazing (great portions and really great sides that paired well). Everything was delicious! Service also was wonderful (friendly and quick!), the ambiance of the restaurant is homey and cozy while also feeling upscale, and the restaurant is conveniently located right in the heart of National Harbor, right next to the steps that lead down to the pier area. This places is fabulous! The two hostess gals in front are so sweet. There was two guys that would also come out to talk to certain people and would hug and talk like they were family. I think from conversations heard they were just really long time customers. It has a beautiful atmosphere and a fantastic view of the river and a perfect sunset. I just had take out, I was not super hungry, so got smalls. Arancini stayed hot while I took it to my room. Mwwah its delicious, crisp, full of flavor, beautiful sauce. Yummy! After 1,054 reviews there probably is not much new to say here but somehow I will find it. I'll start with why it's 4 and not 5 stars. It was the music, not bad but it didn't fit the ambiance. A live musician is pretty much unheard of in the DMV but that would have put it over the top. It was a nice table with an elevated view of the rain washed street. A piano player singing some Sinatra would have made me want to come back again and again. That said, everything else was excellent! The French Lamb Chops and Chicken Parmesan came out earlier than expected and looking like they took extra time preparing them. We wanted some veggies, so an order of Brussels split nicely between us two. The waiter offered dessert but we were so full from all the good food. One look at the dessert menu changed our minds, and so an order of Carrot Cake with to-go boxes for our leftovers was brought out. This was my first time here and I enjoyed everything about my dining experience. The ambiance was really nice. We were seated by the window with a view of the Capital Wheel which was nice. Our server was amazing, very polite and welcoming. He also gave us complimentary Prosecco and Limoncello. The food was good as well. The mussels in white wine sauce was good although very tiny mussel meat. The parm wings were tasty, the lobster linguine was flavorful and the lamb chops were really good. Not pictured are the Brussel sprouts which were ok. We asked for balsalmic glaze which made them better. Also, the mac n cheese wasn't that good. It was slightly burnt on the top and watery in the middle. It kinda reminded me of stouffers frozen Mac n cheese. I'd definitely visit again to try other items. Great for a date night. read more

The mussels could have been a bit bigger but they were good! Everything all tasted delicious! And all that was only 43 dollars! Super good deal for HH The service was amazing!!
