You're right on the water with a beautiful view of the marina and the harbor. The ceiling is a vaulted 30+ feet with a wall of glass towards the bay, allowing plenty of light. This restaurant is located in the Westin hotel at the national Harbor. The best seats in the restaurant are located on the lower level of the restaurant right by the window. Amazing views of the Potomac River, the national Harbor wheel, and pier are spectacular! We were seated downstairs by the window and received OUTSTANDING service from Tsehay!!! We were fortunate to be seated in Tsehay's section for dinner when we requested a table by the window. My high school friend and I were so busy catching up that we could not review the menu and place an order each time Tsehay came to the table to take it! She was so very attentive, kind, sweet, accommodating and patient. What great service! I would come back and ask for her every single time! She is the reason I would come back to the restaurant along with the beautiful views of the Potomac River at the nationalHarbour. We ordered the crab deviled eggs and loaded tater tots. Yummy!! On a freezing evening, we found ourselves in National Harbor looking for dinner options, and we found Sauciety in the basement of the Westin Hotel. Spacious, quiet and yet full of people, the space gave a nice view of the water (and snow). We got the deviled eggs with crab meat - cool and fluffy with a hint of vinegar. And the caprese flatbread was a little damp on the bottom and not crispy, but it was still good. The NY strip was generous and well prepared. Decided to come here for brunch today with some friends, and had a wonderful time. Our server Pradip was soooooo nice, efficient and soo patient with us. There was also a young man who helped, but I hate I didn't catch his name. The views alone are GORGEOUS. This was our first time here and it will be our last. The restaurant was pretty empty and it took a long time to get our appetizers. When they finally came, they were burnt. They do not offer bread while you wait for the food but upon request, some was brought. Our steaks were over cooked and parts of my meal were lukewarm. Our waitress was nice but the kitchen was so slow and incompetent, she did the best she could to please us. With so many other great restaurants in the National Harbor to compete with, they really need to step up their game. I see why it was so empty... Update: We mentioned to the waitress our issues with the food and she in turn, spoke with the manager. He came over and really listened to our concerns and gave us dessert, on the house. Do NOT do it. You will think, hey this is convenient, we don't have to walk far from my Gaylord or Westin (actually inside the Westin). But just walk. Whether it's rain or snow, just walk. Menu looks deceivingly good, but it's a miracle if you actually get your food. My family and I came here while we were on vacation to DC. We ordered the crab soup, avocado toast, butter squash raviolis, and blueberry pancakes. We were satisfied with everything but the avocado toast. The bread tasted stale and it overall lacks flavor. The service was okay. Sliders were grilled nicely on fresh mini buns with a side of turkey collard greens. Iced martini was sweet and tasty, the mock-tail on the rocks was mixed nicely. I am beyond furious with the way The Sauciety at The Westin Washington National Harbor handled my birthday dinner reservation. I made reservations through OpenTable on December 7th for a party of 7 people for 5:00 PM on December 21st--my birthday. I even received a confirmation the day before from the restaurant reminding me to check in and confirming my reservation. So imagine my shock when, THREE HOURS before my reservation, I get a call from the restaurant telling me they are closed and have to cancel my reservation. Closed?! On the day before, I received a CONFIRMATION?! "Ashley" called me and casually explained that the restaurant was booked for a private party and that they "don't have any connection with OpenTable" and "don't communicate with them." I was absolutely appalled. If this is true, why are you on OpenTable at all? Why allow customers to book reservations you have NO intention or ability to honor? I asked Ashley if they could offer anything for the inconvenience--especially since it is my birthday and now I had to scramble to find a new restaurant at the last minute. She told me the General Manager, Erica, would call me. Erica NEVER called. Instead, Ashley "offered" high-top seating in the bar area--which was completely unacceptable, especially since several older guests in my party cannot sit in high-top chairs. This was literally their only "solution." Later, "Derrick" called me and repeated the exact same script Ashley gave me--with no additional help, no accountability, and no alternatives. Two phone calls, same useless information, and STILL no call from the General Manager. This is hands-down the most poorly managed restaurant I have encountered. The lack of communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy is astonishing. If they cannot coordinate with OpenTable or handle reservations responsibly, they should REMOVE themselves from the platform altogether. My birthday dinner was ruined, my plans were disrupted, and they offered nothing but excuses and bar seating. I would NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go anywhere else!! read more

Looking for a last-minute reservation for six people while visiting National Harbor, I found Sauciety through my resort concierge. I was able to make a reservation, and our table was ready when we arrived. I had read good reviews about the food and the view of the harbor, but I admit I was a bit surprised to see the restaurant had more of a hotel lobby vibe. It was located at the bottom of the winding staircase and was a wide-open space with seating in almost a mall food court layout. I was expecting more of a "restaurant" look. Our server, Tsehay, was fantastic. She got us started with cocktails right away, but our food took longer than expected to arrive. It was tasty when it finally came though. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was delicious. I ordered the half portion, was shocked to see it was very small, but was even more shocked when it actually filled me up and was the perfect portion size after all. The house salad was simple greens with a house vinaigrette which was very good. Sauciety offers a 20% discount if you show your Wyndham Resort room key, but charges a 20% large party service charge. Overall, great food and service. Would consider eating here again on my next visit to National Harbor. read more

I went to the Boozy Brunch at the restaurant, which is located in the lower level of the hotel. The food was very flavorful. I ordered lemon pepper saukety wings, waffle, and roasted potatoes. I also ordered a glass of Peach mimosa. It was good as well. The server was nice and checked on me from time to time. It was busy in the restaurant. There was music playing. Also, restaurant have a great view of the harbor. There is also outside seating, but I choose to sit inside not knowing how hot it was going to be. I would go again. read more

I've been coming here for years, way before I moved to National Harbor, so I was shocked that I've never reviewed this gem. Sauciety is truly hiding in plain site. Sitting smack dead on the Potomac, this is a one stop shop, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner!! However, if you're not paying attention, you'll walk right by it. It's on the lower level of the Westin Hotel with its own separate entrance or you can access it from the Westin. The food is really really good. I've eaten dinner here a couple times but its on my heavy brunch rotation for sure! My favorite is the crab cakes benedict, and for under $20, it's the best deal in the DMV! Last time out, I had the new addition, crab topped deviled eggs and they were BOMB!! Another thing I love about Sauciety, you can always get seating without a reservation even though the dining room seems to be full. Nice trick! Service is fast and friendly, which completes the excellent dining experience. If you're looking for a cool brunch spot, sitting on the water, with huge windows to enjoy the views, deliberately look for the Sauciety sign on the side of the Westin, and I guarantee you will not regret it!!! read more

Overall just an OK experience. I came here for lunch in a group of seven. This was my second time dining at Sauciety. The first time I dined here was when the restaurant first opened. Ironically both experiences were similar. Not that this is a bad restaurant however there are many things they can do better. The food lacked attention to detail in the following ways: 1. The chicken wings were too crispy 2. The crab cake was loaded with filler and could have been seared better 3. One of my friends said the salmon pasta was too oily 4. Another friend described his fried chicken sandwich as the chicken being fried too hard. When I saw his fried chicken sandwich I immediately thought perhaps it was reheated from the day before. This is a typical hotel restaurant in that it's just good enough to attract hotel guests however I don't think it generates enough buzz to attract restaurant go-ers. read more

I really enjoyed the service here. Our waitress was attentive and got our drinks and orders out in such a timely manner. To start we had the crab topped deviled eggs and an order of wingettes 6 Buffalo and 6 honey mustard bourbon. The deviled eggs were a fan fav for my partner. But I enjoyed the wings mainly because the flavor was absolutely incredible. My only critique would be I should have asked for them to be fried hard. For our entrees I had the rib-eye with bourbon Demi. I like mine prepared medium. It was coupled with roasted fingerling potatoes, and haricot verts. My partner ordered the Crab Cake duo paired with slow braised collard greens with smoked turkey and crab Mac and cheese. My steak was seasoned to perfection and needed no A-1. If you know, you know. The crab cakes were okay but overcooked and my partner likes sauce and they didn't deliver with the caper tartar sauce at all. And she LOVES CAPERS. The crab cakes were underwhelming. The collard greens tasted like someone's down south granny made them and I legit wanted to take the pot they had in the back home with me. They were that freaking good!! The mac and cheese was an add on because the Crab Cake duo is served with brown rice pilaf. We def didn't want the rice. But they didn't disappoint with the Mac and cheese either. For drinks we enjoyed tequila lemon drops and a double shot of Don Julio Reposado. And for dessert I enjoyed a slice of cheesecake. Next time I'll get the key lime pie because it was Def second on my list. Everything was really good. But, what made it special was the service. Our server was amazing and we can't wait to come back. The ambiance was what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant. Very cookie cutter. Nothing to be admired. But the seating next to the window has a perfect view of the sunset behind the Ferris wheel. This is the coolest hotel restaurant I've been to in a long time. It's located inside the Westin on the basement floor. Phillip, our server, was awesome. He answered questions about the food, and those Harbor wings were delicious! I see why they're the most popular. Get the dozen - trust me, you won't regret it. The house salad is a great size, and comes with tomatoes and cucumbers. The salmon in buerre blanc sauce comes with tomatoes, asparagus, and linguine. I've never had salmon with pasta. I dined in at this establishment to celebrate an engagement dinner. We were greeted by warm and welcoming customer service and seated promptly. I ordered a crab cake sandwich with fries as my main course, and this is where things went south. The crab cake sandwich was on the wrong kind of bun first off, the bun would've been more appropriate for a McDonalds big mac. Secondly, the crab meat was not real crab meat at all. It was something straight out of a can (creamy goop) The only thing that was delicious on this plate were the curly fries! They were fried to a crisp and seasoned will. The crab cake sandwich with the imitation crab was a shocker! The chocolate mouse cake was beyond delicious!!! Nice and flavorful and the texture was layered too! The cake rocked my world! Without this delicious dessert, this review would probably be more so in the one star tier. All in all, I would say that when you dine in at this establishment you are paying for the ambience. I ordered the Chesapeake Benedict. My food arrived cold. Our table consisted of 4 of us and three of us sent our food back to have it heated up. When we brought it to our waitress attention she didn't even apologize. She was very polite and by no means bad service, but didn't even apologize for 3 out of the 4 being stone cold. Secretly tucked away in the westin hotel on the bottom floor is this interesting restaurant. We ordered the loaded tots for an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. The only thing that would make this perfect would be bacon...this dish did have bacon, however, i felt they bacon the used didnt really have the full bacon flavor i was expecting. I think if they had switched and used like a thick cut of bacon it would have really made the dish pop. I also tried the eastern shore fried chicken sandwich. This was an interesting sandwich. It didnt taste fried. It tasted more like baked chicken. The sandwich had black pepper aoli sauce, however, I think my sandwich might have not had enough because I wasnt able to capture the flavor of it. Now, this is where this place shines! The Crab Cake Sandwich! This sandwich was piled with delicious real crab meat. The flavor profile was magnificent, whoever spiced this dish they did it spot on. The sandwich is huge and leaves you happily satisfied! If you come here definitely get this crab cake and loaded tots. I'm mixed on what to review Sauciety. It is located on the ground floor of the Westin and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. On the plus side, my crab cake was super good, service was fast and we were socially distanced from other parties. On the downside, my hubby said his burger was not that great and my daughter's meal was missing beans and rice with her quesadilla. When we asked the waitress where it was she said they were out of them. Strange- why would you not tell us that when we ordered and offer a substitute?! Service: we were seated promptly and received our drinks and our order was taken shortly after. My food did have an error though when it came out. I ordered scrambled eggs and I was initially given eggs sunny-side up. I asked for a correction, and it took about 7 minutes to come back. Food: the Cream of Crab soup was a welcome starter. Very comforting. A simple yet well-seasoned soup. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the meal that had any flavor. My entrée, the Haborview Breakfast, was utterly bland. The eggs, the potatoes, the ham, the toast - all utterly plain. I didn't finish the food because the food just wasn't satisfying. Value: overall, the food wasn't worth the time, let alone the price. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER!!!!!!! It's very clear that they either using tap water and scooping it straight out of the harbor, but either way, it SMELLS and TASTES WEIRD! Now that I got that out of the way, everything else was pretty good. I got the beyond burger, which is something I normally don't enjoy in most places, but here it was pretty good. And they did not hold back at all on the portion size. The burger was huge and they give you two patties. Texture and flavor were both perfect for the meal and so were some of the other entrees we had. I sits right on the waterfront, so the vibe is pretty good and the service was good as well. And we didn't get those annoying paper straws, so that's a bonus as well. I think if you're in the National Harbor, you should pay a visit to this place. The prices here are pretty good, unlike most eateries in the area. So you'll be getting good food at a reasonable price. read more
