Wow, just wow! My husband and I stopped in on a whim, we're so glad we did. As former patrons of Bite, et al, we've always valued the proximity of having a dining option so close to Windward, even if the food was mediocre. That said, Fiorenza is hands down one of the best Italian restaurant in north Fulton. We started with the Pinsa Burrata Prosciutto Flatbread...Stracciatella (outrageously flavorful mozzarella cheese variety), Prosciutto, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Basil and finished off with their tiramisu. As a self proclaimed tiramisu aficionado, when I tell you this is the best I've ever had, it shouldn't be taken lightly. When sharing reviews, I usually start with the decor as it is obviously the first impression...but the food was so amazing I had to start there. The well appointed layout is largely the same as the restaurants that preceded it ; however, the level of detail invested in the interior design, color palette, wine wall, bar finishes, and lighting, take it to luxe level. We sat at the bar and the service was beyond expectations. Despite the restaurant being busy, you'd never know if from the amount of time and attention the bartender invested to ensure he answered all of our questions and allowed us to sample a couple of wines until we found our fit. We happened to try this new place last week Friday based on their IG posts. I would not recommend it until they get the kinks all ironed out - they just opened like 5 days before. None of the wait staff seemed experienced. We were seated after the greeter went to help staff clean off our table. Wait times were way too long and the menu prices did not match up quality of the food or service. We waited probably 10 minutes for our waitress to ask if we wanted water, and took our drink orders. She ran to get us water and informed us that our drinks were in their way so we ordered the focaccia (hard as a rock, could not bite into it!) and the Caprese - which showed up with a side cup of oil, but it was like canola oil or something really cheap and unseasoned. My husband had an old fashioned - after maybe his 2nd sip she was asking if he wanted another (a bit too quick). I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio - our drinks took a good 20 mins to arrive - the bar was not at all busy. We proceeded to order our entrees - I ordered the Lasagne and was informed they didn't have anymore. So then I picked a bolognese. My husband ordered the branzino. The runner brought out our food and dropped my husband's silverware. There was no place to put our plates bc no one cleared the table. I assisted the young man in clearing the table. He quickly brought a new set of utensils. Our waitress came back and I informed her that the focaccia was hard. That promoted the co-owner to visit our table - concurrently I noticed the party next to us was sending their plates back. The co-owner asked if everything was okay - I told her about the focaccia and she was kind and polite - she took it off the bill. The experience and service did not match the menu prices or quality of the food. We were disappointed to say the least. PS. We noticed that there weren't any place for ladies to put purses/bags so the party that was at the 4 top next to us, a lady had her bag on the floor!!! Someone should have offered to bring her another chair or something!!! Again showcased the lack of experience of the staff. There was a clear gap in the dining area - a whole galling hole where they could have for a whole other table of 6 or so. Also the floor reminded me of a gym floor. Black, matte, no color or design, no carpet, it was not comfortable or warm. PSS. My husband could not get a reservation before 8pm on Friday night, but it was not at all busy, no wait, lots of availability. Odd. The cheesecake was good ‍ read more

This is by far the best Italian food I've had in the Atlanta area. This reminds me of Florence so much. The guy that owns the place who runs the plate is from Florence and he's very personable and they know their food highly recommend this place. Food is delicious. With more than a few Italian options in the Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, Cumming area, there is a real shortage of authentic, non-Americanized osterias, trattorias and ristorantes. Fiorenza intrigued us online with a menu that was simple and true to its Italian roots. They have been open about a month now, and we've been waiting for the right opportunity to visit. Last night, Friday night, was the night. Walking in you're presented with a big bar directly ahead and dining to the left and right. There is patio dining available if the weather is nice. The space is basic yet nice, open and casual. No white tablecloths here. Greeted by our very friendly waiter, Wellington, service was good throughout the evening. The cocktail list is standard fare, but the wine list has some interesting selections from around the world, but nicely focused on Italian wines. Tonight I opted for a Langhe Nebbiolo - not something you see often in Georgia. At $14 a glass it was reasonably priced and was a welcome start to our evening. The rest of the by-the-glass wine list had some other, very interesting selections, including some Super Tuscans that topped out at $22 a glass. If you're looking for bottles, the wine list, though simple, ranges from value priced to decidedly fine wines. A "Legendary Tuscan" wines list features a fine Masseto, Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia bottle ('22) at $1500. I am not sure that Fiorenza is that kind of a "sommelier" style place, but even the wine snob in your group will find something they'd like. Nice job. For the antipasti we opted for the meatballs and focaccia. I asked if there was bread service, and I was told no, the focaccia, ordered from the menu at five dollars, is the only bread service. Well, I don't mind this, but I wish that American-Italian restaurants would mirror Italian tradition in having a coperto - a kind of service or cover charge that includes a basic bread service. This is more authentic and true to Italian tradition, acknowledges the cost for bread, and allows for an upcharge for other specialty bread like foccacia or similar. In any case Fiorenza's foccacia was thick and light and seasoned ala Genovese with coarse salt and rosemary. 8/10. Polpette ($16) brought five inch-and-a-half-sized veal/beef/pork balls in a tasty tomato sauce. Grana padano on top and a swirl of ricotta in the sauce give this Fiorenza antipasti an 8/10. As a Primi Piatti Miss M had the Tagliatelle al Funghi with seasonal mushrooms, in a wine, cream and butter sauce topped with some fine grana padano ($22). Rich and creamy with just the right amount or mushrooms, Miss M loved this dish. She even left some on her plate to enjoy as leftovers the next day. 9/10 With a nice selection of traditional Italian pasta on the Primi menu I struggled to make a choice. I ended up jumping directly to the Secondi and ordering the Branzino ($38). This plate brought a butterflied, plate-sized portion of mild-flavored fish, tail-on, skin-on, and with nice grill marks on the flesh. Lightly seasoned the Branzino is an excellent choice for a not so heavy main dish. The standard garnish, an artichoke caponata, was sub'd with roasted potatoes, which were delicious. 8.5/10 We did not have a chance to sample the dolce menu, but perhaps next time. Tiramisu and affogato are on my short list. Fiorenza has perhaps the most authentic Italian menu in the Alpharetta area. Traditional pastas. Typical Italian mains, just like in Italia. A nice selection of Italian wines both by the glass and by the bottle. That is Fiorenza's superpower. They haven't tried to Americanize the food or wine list. With very good service and authentic Italian food served in a casual atmosphere I'm sure Fiorenza will find success in the authentic-Italian food desert known as Alpharetta. Buon appetito! read more

First time trying newly opened Fiorenza! We will be back. I started out with an Aperol Spritz, it was on pointe, then moved on with the focaccia and carpaccio. I love carpaccio, and it was perfect! Great balance of creamy, herbaceous, the salty bite from the Parmesan, yet delicate. Just like it should be. They should encourage more guests to try their carpaccio, have a little adventure. They'd love it. My husband had the Pappardelle Al Ragu. It was hearty, seasoned beautifully. Pasta was al dente and delicious. I had the Tagliatelle al Gamberie Aragosta. The seafood in the dish was seasoned well (often forgotten) and cooked delicately, the sauce was light and fresh, not overcooked. I was also afraid the lobster would be overcooked but it was very tender. Enjoyed both our dishes very much. Our only regret was we didn't save room for dessert. Our server Alejandro was very friendly and personable and made us feel he was grateful we came in. The restaurant feel is very nice. The bar is beautiful and inviting. That's always been a great restaurant space, so glad to have Fiorenza there now. Best of luck to them. I see Fiorenza being a local hang out for "regulars" and a gathering spot for socializing with friends, and family meals in no time. If you have not tried Fiorenza yet, you should probably hurry. Overall 5 stars - especially for a restaurant that just opened a few weeks ago! Four ladies went for dinner for my birthday. We had a reservation and only had to wait about 5 minutes before being seated. There is an outdoor area, but it was not being used at the time. The bar was about half full and the bartender looked completely engaged with those at the bar. Atmosphere in the dining area is airy and open yet not bright - just the right lighting to feel elegant enough while still not being too loud to talk across the table. Received a handwritten Birthday card from the staff upon being sat and was served a super smooth lemon sorbet with a candle and no tacky singing by the wait staff which was a pleasant surprise. Garlic focaccia and meatballs to start were terrific - 4 good sized pieces of perfectly baked bread and 5 beef/pork/veal small meatballs in a perfect sauce (thinking the lasagna must be amazing after having tried this appetizer). For our entree, two of us had the Gnudi Toscani and two of us had the Ravioli De Pere - each trying at least a bite of both dishes. The Ravioli Di Pere was a small portion of about 6 raviolis - but they were amazingly tender with a cream sauce that was slightly rich balanced by a slight sweetness in the pear filling. The gnudi were also a small portion - but perfectly cooked to be soft and fluffy with a light sauce. Service was professional and elegant. Great wine selection and the wine is growing in the weeks to come as the restaurant gets underway. Only disappointing note is one of us brought a gifted 'tradition' birthday dessert from outside the restaurant and the fee was $20 to eat it in the restaurant (we've done this before at other restaurants and it is usually a $10-$12 fee - just thought the $20 was a bit high so we decided to just take it home to eat after the restaurant). Looking forward to going back to try the lasagna, coffee and tiramisu. This is definitely going to be a regular on my list - and thankful for a real Italian restaurant in the area. read more
