Drinks are very good. Sangririta, a cross between sangria and margarita as really good and strong. We opted for tapas, bbq shrimp tacos, beef empanadas, blue cheese and Serrano ham salad and meatballs. Salad was my favorite. Husband liked the meatballs. Croat on the empanadas was overcooked. No room for the tacos.

Very enjoyable first time at Fogon and Lions. Loved the hamachi and the flat bread. The octopus was delicious just a couple of bites were a bit tough. Our server was so nice and professional! Nice ambiance both inside and out. Live music was playing during lunch. Will go back.

Came here for Happy Hour with some friends from out of town, and loved their food options. I think it was the chips we got and they were the perfect blend of savory and spicy. The drinks on the other hand were a bit off, we had a spicy margarita and it just didn't taste right. Would def recommend for apps and if the drinks get better.

CMON TO FOGON | a solid restaurant in downtown Alpharetta for a good time! Street parking is limited during peak dining hours and basically anytime over the weekend, so definitely recommend parking in the free public parking deck and walking over! I attended a birthday dinner and had a lovely time sipping on espresso martinis (solid one at Fogon!) and munching on light bites - the Baja ceviche tostada is a refreshing must, along with the Mexican Caesar salad, which balance out the heavier manchego mac and cheese. Because life is about balance, is it not? Tbh the best version of girl's dinner. I'll definitely be back to order a full meal next time, but Fogon is definitely the hot spot on Roswell St!

Yum! Came here with my friend for some appetizers and wine. The service was great and they have a lot of gluten free options. The server was very knowledgeable with celiac! The inside and outside are good vibes.

This spot is a casual eatery that delivers big flavors! I loved the cochinita pibil tacos--fresh, tasty, and perfect to share (three per order). The hamachi ceviche with coconut was nicely balanced, though I didn't pick up much coconut flavor, but still a solid choice with beautiful presentation. The classic mojito was fresh, minty, and just right. Inside there's a beautiful bar, plus patio seating if you want to enjoy the outdoors. Street parking can be tricky during peak hours, but service was warm and friendly throughout.

    Fogon Grand Fashion

We recently visited Fogon and Lions and found the place absolutely packed -- inside, outside, and even around the bar. We were shown to a table located right next to the bar area. Unfortunately, I'm not sure why they position tables so close to it, because as the evening went on, people standing at the bar naturally crowded around our table, making it feel cramped and uncomfortable. We asked if we could move to a different table but were told none were available unless we wanted to wait for a later reservation time. While I honestly didn't notice any obvious open tables, we were still disappointed and chose to stay. The noise level was quite high. The space doesn't appear to have much in the way of sound absorption -- lots of hard surfaces that reflect noise -- which made it difficult to enjoy a relaxed conversation. On a positive note, the drinks were excellent. I had the Fogon Grand Fashion, and my wife ordered the Valentine Special "Twisted Love." Both were well-made, balanced, and definitely a highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the same standard. We ordered the Picadera Platter to sample a variety of items, along with a side of roasted broccolini. I hate to say it, but several items on the platter tasted as though they had been prepared earlier and kept warm under a heat lamp -- a few pieces were dry and somewhat overbaked. Despite the mixed experience, my wife suggested we give them another try in warmer weather so we can sit outside, where it may be less noisy and more enjoyable. We're open to a second visit and hope the food experience improves next time.

Made reservations for a PM dinner. Arrived to find a private party was being held indoors and had to be seated outdoors. No issues there until it started to pour which was thankfully after we'd finished our dinner. Our server Jordan was very helpful to recommend various platters to share or main entrees. Overall I was a little disappointed with the food. Guacamole and chips were good, I'd add a little more lime. The Mexican Caesar salad seemed like something I could've gotten anywhere. Broccolini was salty I had to try and neutralize it with water. Beef empanadas were subpar at most. Got filled off of the tapas so didn't get to try the chicken. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this restaurant as I didn't find the food meeting my expectations.

LOVE Fogon and Lions! This place has the best vibes and the best location downtown. The owner, Julio, is often on site and very friendly to talk to. We stopped by for dinner tonight after an outdoor workout. I got the mango mocktail and it was so light and refreshing - perfect for a hot day! We got the deviled eggs appetizer, which was so unique! The eggs are spread on pieces of toast and delicious. We ordered steak, the ribeye and also the skirt steak. Both were lovely. While we ate, we got to listen to live music and watch a dancer! What awesome entertainment! Highly recommend this place. Awesome people and awesome vibes!

    Pan de bono

The atmosphere was great service was excellent. The food could've used a little bit more seasoning but overall would recommend. The only place so far where the Colombian Pan de Bono's were actually good. However, they were expensive.

Stopped in here on a whim with my two besties for a girls night and had a great time! We ended up just taking a few seats at the bar and enjoyed some apps and drinks. Bartender was wonderful and the Delgado's beef empanadas were fantastic! We also ordered the guacamole which had some fresh pickled mango on top and was probably some of the best guacamole I've had out in a long time. I also really appreciated that they had mocktails on the menu under the "0" Proof section, and I decided to go with La Roja which included cranberry, guava, and lemon-lime soda and garnished with a snippet of fresh mint. It was just what I wanted and super tasty! I will certainly come back for another visit and full dining experience so I can try some other menu items.

Ok let me first say that I haven't dined here yet!!…read more I was looking at hosting a bridal shower in the area, where I'm out of town so dont have a way to come visit/scope out the place. Shannon was so accomodating, he sent me photos of the place where the shower would be, and answered a ton of questions for me. The level of service from him was impeccable, especially when I was pretty clear from the beginning that I was looking at quite a few different places. We ultimately chose somewhere else due to budget and we wanted a more "light and airy" vibe. I just wanted to drop a line here and say that this spot is really perfect for a smaller shower and for a pretty competitive price!

The place was very clean and nice, also has a fancy feel to it. The food i had tasted amazing, but the rice was a little on the salty side for me. I am not sure if its a southern food thing ( I am from the other side of the U.S) but, seasoned rice has been salty to me all over GA. I would definitely recommend this place to someone though. It's been a while since my husband and I have been up here, and with patio season and summer…read more(almost officially) here, we thought this would be a great time to revisit! We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the lettuce wraps app as my main. The crab cakes were really good (I had a bite or two), and the buns were unexpected but delicious! The lettuce wraps were also very good, but honestly not what I thought a lettuce wrap would be. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. I think the servers were getting a little overwhelmed (and I cannot blame them). Still a great view and worth the hassle of finding parking in downtown Alpharetta.

It was warm outside and warm = rooftop bar. It was the start of a great night. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located in downtown Alpharetta on South Main Street. The restaurant sits on the fifth floor of an office building. There is no parking directly by the building, however there is free street parking as well as a deck that is free and is a few minutes walk. If you can, I would recommend taking the walk so you're able to see all of the other shops and restaurants and enjoy the live music that's sure to be playing. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk in you're automatically greeted by the hostess. If you are going on a weekend I absolutely would recommend having a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. We did not, so it was essentially every woman for themselves. In addition to the tables, there were some couches that were first come first served. We lucked up and a woman was leaving and gave us her table. Food and drinks Since this was our first stop we didn't want to fill up too much. We ordered the charcuterie board, which served as a good snack. I ordered their old fashioned made with Knob Creek, my wife had a cider, and our friend has one of their IPA's. Service Service was decent, considering there was a lot going on. With my friend's IPA they were changing the keg and it actually took a while for that to happen, but our server gave my friend another drink at no charge to make up for that fact, which was a nice touch. Verdict I'm not in Alpharetta much, but the next time I am, I'll definitely stop through for a drink and the view. If you're in the area stop on in! Until next time!

The restaurant is in a really nice area of town in Alpharetta with beautiful surroundings and really nice decor, just a really, really nice part of the city. We started off with the Louisiana spring rolls, Cajun crab dip, and a jumbo lump crab cake. The crab dip was really good, and honestly, all of the appetizers were excellent. For the main course, we had the Parmesan-crusted salmon, jumbo stuffed shrimp with crab, branzino, and blackened redfish. Everything was cooked to perfection, and everybody really enjoyed their dishes. The service started off a little slow, probably because we were waiting on one of our party members, but once things got going, we had impeccable service for the rest of the evening. Shout-out to Jason for taking great care of us! The mixed drinks were really good too. A couple had a little more ice than I would have preferred, but hey, it's summertime in Atlanta, so maybe that wasn't such a bad thing! Parking can be a little challenging. There is a garage on the side of the building, but I believe it's primarily for the apartment complex. We parked there and didn't get a ticket, but street parking was definitely a little difficult. All in all, we had a really good evening. The prices were reasonable, and they even offer a military discount, which definitely made the experience even better. If you're in Atlanta and don't mind taking a drive up to Alpharetta, I definitely recommend giving Coalition Steak & Seafood a try. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. We were seated near the kitchen, which wasn't a problem. The restaurant had a soccer game on the TV, but it was quiet and there was no indication anything unusual was about to happen. Without warning, a group of approximately eight staff members gathered just a few feet from our table and erupted into an extremely loud celebration, screaming at the top of their lungs as if they were in a sports bar. The outburst startled us so badly that it literally sent my husband into atrial fibrillation (AFib). He was visibly shaken and extremely upset, and we were prepared to leave immediately. Our waiter could clearly see how distressed we were. Since we had already ordered the lobster bites appetizer, he kindly offered to move us to another table. We appreciated his effort and accepted. We finished the appetizer, but by then the evening was ruined, so we left and had dinner elsewhere. What disappointed us most was the complete lack of management involvement. Our waiter knew exactly what had happened and how upset we were, yet not once did a manager come to our table to apologize, ask if my husband was okay, or acknowledge that the staff's behavior was completely inappropriate for a fine dining restaurant. This wasn't about cheering for a game--it was about professionalism. Guests who choose a steakhouse expect a calm, enjoyable atmosphere, not to be startled by employees screaming just feet away from their table. We have always enjoyed Coalition, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope management addresses this with their staff so no other guests have their evening ruined the way ours was. We will not be back. Later Added: I just found out the Manager was one of the ones screaming. Pathetic! We went to PappaDeauxs which was half the price and honestly better food & calm atmosphere! Not a sports bar!

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the hostess, plus a very inviting bar behind the stand. Prior to coming, we needed to change our reservation and they were happily able to accommodate. It was everyone's first time here, so the server explained how their menu works and what are the popular dishes. We started with the seasonal Thai salad, Smokey cabbage and pork belly. Our server put in the incorrect order, instead of the pork belly, she put in the chive fries, but she happily comped this due to error. Out of all the apps we tried, my favorite was the salad and actually the chive fries. Salad was fresh with corn, tomatoes, snow peas and the dressing was nicely salty and a bit spicy. The chive fries are reminiscent of chive pancake but cut in long strips, shaped like fries, though I found the sauce it came with too sweet. For our main entree, we all shared the chicken satay (my personal favorite and that satay sauce was to die for), crab fried rice (flavorful but found the old bay seasoning a bit too overpowering), whole market fish was trout that night (loved this was topped with a fresh salad) and crying thaiger (I didn't eat the steak but the grilled okra and the sauces were delicious). All of the entrees came with jasmine rice, but there's an option to get sticky rice and garlic rice for extra fee. I thought this was a good meal and our server was great. We found service to be a bit slow, but they were pretty busy. It got better towards the end of the night as people were leaving. They also gave free dessert as someone in our party was celebrating their birthday.
